Politics / APC Victories In The Bye-elections Is not About President Buhari ... by fontv1: 5:49pm On Aug 13, 2018
APC Victories in the Bye-Elections not due to Buhari's performance but on Merit

People vote the winners of the bye-elections because of their good governance. So are PDP contestants. The truth is that PMB can not hide from his works. If PMB is voted out in 2019, it will be as a result of his bad governance. His fight against insecurity and corruption is one sided, Nigerians are well informed about this.

Let us forget about PDP or APC and lets look at competency. PMB economic policy is BAD due to his gross level of incompetency. Please do not try to tell people it is all about party. Performance of PMB is below our expectation.

If we can have a better option come 2019, Nigerians will swiftly change again. STOP the gospel of More time. FAILURE is FAILURE.

Sports / Ballon D'or Vs Fifa Best Player Award: What's Now The Difference The Two? by fontv1: 3:14pm On Aug 12, 2018
Some of us do not fully understand this that With the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo running out of space for awards, it can be difficult to tell the difference between what they are lifting every year, and this is reason.

The Best Fifa Football Awards ceremony was held at the London Palladium in October, and was the second since the Fifa award split from France Football's Ballon d'Or prize.

Cristiano Ronaldo - the current Ballon d'Or holder - defended his Fifa Men's World Player of the Year crown in London, winning ahead of Lionel Messi and Neymar.

The Fifa World Player of the Year award was merged in a partnership with France Football's Ballon d'Or in 2010 and became known as the Fifa Ballon d'Or for the next six years.

Fifa agreed to pay £13million to merge the two awards, with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo the big winners as the two La Liga stars dominated throughout the six-year deal.

Fifa decided not to renew the deal in 2016, meaning the Ballon d'Or lost its 'Fifa' tag and reverted back to being voted for by journalists as a separate award as Fifa's The Best awards were created.
The Best Fifa Men's Player award is voted for by a collection of journalists, national team coaches, national team captains and the general public - each with a 25 per cent weighting towards the overall vote.

The Ballon d'Or winner will be announced on December 7 in Paris, with Ronaldo and Messi again the leading candidates for the prize.

The Real Madrid man is favourite to defend his crown after helping Real to La Liga and Champions League glory last term.

From the Premier League, N'Golo Kante, Harry Kane, David de Gea, Kevin De Bruyne, Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Eden Hazard are nominated.

czarina:
And I thought my former neighbours were the only weird ones around. Dude and his wife locked their flat, removed the kitchen sink(they claimed they fixed the sink in my apartment while they lived there and so had right over it, but it wasn't any of my business, never knew they had a pact before I moved in so I had them go settle their "sink fight" somewhere else and they promptly took the sink in their flat to get back at the "madame"wink locked up and took the keys with them but remembered to send down the landlady's Bible she gave them when they "got born again".

Op, check again, something must have prompted it. People don't change overnight. I used to see reasons with the landlady when she narrated her version, found out later tenants never stayed up to a year in that house. Mine was worse, stayed only three months and found a replacement(felt bad for the poor guy, but hey, no one felt bad for me when saw me moving in)
That aside, you were gracious letting them stay an extra year without rent.

Nothing serious that would have prompted him to do so. I (the landlord) do not leave with them in the said property, we don't trouble them, infact we were ready to offer him more months to stay but the rate at which he is patronising bad gangs was alarming, they fight and smoke weeds frequently.

Aside that i think he felt disgraced by been served "QUIT NOTICE"

Yes its my personal property. He could not pay his rent for about 12 months, meaning he was owning 12 month rent before he was giving quit notice that granted him another stay of 6 months then he finally parked out on the 7th month after the quit notice was served. Now he left with the keys and switched off his phone. Possibly changed his line and honestly we did nothing to him.
Properties / Help: My Tenant Packed After Quit Notice, Locked And Took The Keys away by fontv1: 4:35pm On Aug 11, 2018
Help, i issued a quit notice to a tenant after 12 months of refusing to pay up his outstanding rent. At the expiry of the notice, he parked out at 30 days late and yet he locked the entire doors and the main access to the 2 bedroom flat and went away with the keys. We tried contacting his guarantor but were told he has traveled out of Nigeria.

Please advice me on how we can take possession of our property.

Thanks and God bless
Politics / Court Orders Police To Arrest INEC Chairman - Sahara Reporters by fontv1: 11:12pm On Aug 01, 2018
Adjourning the case to August 1 (today), the judge chose the first day of August to allow the INEC chairman to attend to his mother’s funeral but insisted that the INEC boss must appear before the court as ordered at the last sitting. However, the INEC chairman was once again absent as the court reconvened again to continue hearing on Wednesday, prompting the judge to place an order for his arrest.

ustice Stephen Pam, a sitting judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja, has ordered the arrest of Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), over his refusal to honour court summons for the third consecutive time.

Issuing the arrest warrant on Wednesday, Justice Pam asked the Police force to effect Yakubu’s arrest with immediate effect.

The Judge first invited Yakubu on July 5 to appear before him to give reasons and show proof of why he should not be arrested and sent to prison for contempt of the court.

The judge made the order for Yakubu to appear before him on July 5 while ruling on a preliminary objection by INEC and its Chairman in a contempt proceeding filed by Ejike Oguebego and Chuks Okoye, Chairman and Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, respectively.

Giving reason for his failure to honour the invitation of the court five days after being invited, counsel to the INEC Chairman, Adeboyega Awomolo, informed the court that his client had filed an appeal challenging that order at the Appeal Court and another appeal before the Federal High Court asking for a stay of proceedings pending the determination of the appeal.

Countering the claims of the counsel to the INEC Chairman, the plaintiff informed the court that there was no material evidence before the court to stop the order of the court or the hearing.

In his ruling on July 10, Justice Pam held that the fiat by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court to hear the matter subsists.

Car Talk / Re: HELP: My Benz E220 Wagon's Key Is Not Working. by fontv1: 10:18pm On Nov 04, 2014
AutosBay:
Either the key or the EIS (electronic ignition switch) is faulty.

Try your spare key. If the other one works, it's likely the first key is faulty. If neither works, it's likely the EIS is faulty (it's very rare for 2 keys to fail at the same time).

Some people will tell you to replace the batteries. I can tell you ahead of time that replacing the batteries will not solve the problem because the batteries are strictly for the remote locking of the vehicle. They have nothing to do with starting the car.
