Science/Technology / The Influence On Technology In The Workforce Of Nigeria by franklin202(m): 7:55am On Oct 14, 2023
It is true that technology has influenced Nigeria in many ways, including the workforce.

Now, what is the workforce? According to Oxford Dictionary, the workforce can be defined as the people engaged in or available for work, either in a country, area, or particular firm or industry. As of 2022, the total workforce of Nigeria was 73,272,344 according to the work bank collection of development indicators complied from officially recognized sources.

Technology has gone so far that it has invaded us in banking systems, education, aviation, transportation, commerce, even in our security aspect, etc. Here are some ways in which technology has influenced our workforce.

1. Technology has created more job opportunities and taken some people jobs in Nigeria today: Technology has created more jobs for us Nigerians in fields like software development, data analysis, digital marketing, and many more, but it has also taken some people jobs like bank teller operators, cashiers, receptionists, travel agents, etc. So, in order to not fall victim to unemployment due to the development of technology, it is advised that you learn computer skills.
2. Remote work: with the way technology has improved over time, not all jobs require you to leave your house; some people are allowed to work from home or anywhere with their internet connection. Working from home is less stressful, and working from home is comfortable and relaxing.
3. Entrepreneurship: With the aid of technology, people can start their own businesses, like digital marketing tools, online payment systems, and many more, all thanks to e-commerce platforms.
4. Time saver: like they say, time is money, and this can be explained in a way that some businesses that were stressful and time-consuming are now made easier and faster, all due to the improvement of technology, and this would help those businesses get more revenue because they would be working with double the speed and double the production power.
5. Communication: with the help of technology, a company's workers find it easy to communicate with each other through messaging apps, video and teleconferencing, etc.
6. Digital skills: technology has created a demand for digital skills such as coding, graphic design, and social media management. This has opened up new career paths and opportunities for individuals to upskill and adapt to the changing job market.

Those are some of the ways in which technology has influenced the workforce of Nigeria. As you can see for yourself, it has done more good than harm to the country's workforce. All you need to do is know a digital skill and be well updated.

Fashion / Fashions Trends And Styles by franklin202(m): 3:49am On Oct 04, 2023
As the world evolves, so does the fashion of people’s lives. The new will replace the old. Nowadays, people would want to wear new fashion designs they got from movie stars, athletes, musicians, etc.

There are plenty of fashion trends due to the population of the world and fashion brands wanting to improve their brand by bringing new designs. The style of a person is determined by their values and lifestyle, so a person would want to dress in a way that suits his lifestyle. But there are some factors that can change or affect the fashion style of a person, which I will be talking about below.

1. New fashion trends: when a new fashion trend emerges, many people will want to go with the trend and stay updated and fit in with others. This action can influence some people to adopt a new style for a while.
2. Temperature: The temperature of a place would determine what clothing someone is to wear, and it could affect the style of some people.
3. Celebrities/role models: Most people take celebrities as their role models and would want to follow in their footsteps, like their way of life, what they eat, what they wear, and how they look. This can make them change from their particular fashion style all because they want to wear what their role models are wearing in order to imitate them.
4. Shift of preference: some people can just wake up one morning and decide to change the way they dress all because they want to try new things or they want to be different from others.
5. Cultural influences: culture affects the fashion style of a person in many ways. For example, when a person is used to dressing formal, when he or she goes to his or her village, the person would be likely to dress the way his or her people dress.
6. Events: different events have their own ways of dressing, so event is surely one of those factors that can affect the style of a person. For example, when a person is invited for a traditional marriage and their fashion style is formal, we won't expect that person to wear a formal or traditional marriage, so the person would definitely have to wear traditional attire to the event.
7. Body shape: As a person grows, their body shape changes. This can affect a person's fashion style in many ways. For example, if someone liked dressing glamorous when they were in their youths but found out that dressing glamorous didn’t fit them again, they would have to change their style to a more fitted style.
8. Even the mood of a person can determine their style.

Types of fashion styles
1. Casual: it is a relaxed and comfortable style, and it is suitable for informal occasions or situations.
2. formal: an elegant and polished style for special occasions. It is suitable for formal occasions or situations.
3. Streetwear:it is a trendy and urban style influenced by youth culture and street fashion. It is suitable for informal occasions or situations.
4. Vintage: it is a retro-inspired style that incorporates clothing and accessories from previous eras. It can be formal or informal, depending on how it is styled and the specific pieces chosen.
5. Glamorous: a luxurious and extravagant style with bold and glamorous pieces. It can be formal or informal, depending on the specific pieces and how they are styled.
6. Minimalist: a clean and simplistic style with a focus on simplicity
7. Bohemian: it is a free-spirited aesthetic that mixes different cultures and artistic expressions into an eclectic style with an emphasis on organic elements and nature.

Science/Technology / Pros And Cons Of Social Media by franklin202(m): 9:53pm On Sep 30, 2023
Social media is now common in the day-to-day activities of the world. There are 4.9 billion social media users globally, and we have 8 billion people in the world today, so 61.25% of the world is using social media.

Now, what is social media? Social media is a way of interaction among people in which they pass information, share their experiences, create content in virtual communities, and network all through the internet.

Today I am going to talk about the pros and cons of social media.

The pros of social media

Reach out to a large audience: social media can be used to reach out to a large audience since, as I said, we have up to 4.9 billion social media users, so social media is a good place to increase your brand awareness, get more customers, and increase sales.

Content Marketing: Social media can be used to market your content to build brand awareness, get more engagement, and reach out to your audience.

Brand builder: social media is the most common way to build your brand because of its large audience. It allows you to reach new users and engage with new and existing audiences with the goal of keeping them informed of updates, special offers, and discounts.

Place of advertisement: social media is a good place to run paid ads in order to reach out to your desired and targeted audience.

Drive traffic: social media allows us to drive traffic to our website in such a way that we are allowed to post a link to our website in our social media account, which our audience is allowed to click on to get to our website (this is also known as social traffic).

The cons of social media

Fraud: Social media can be used for fraudulent activities in a way that people can pretend to be someone else or your friend just to extort money from you. People can send you a phishing link that takes you to a malicious site.

Social media is very addictive.

Fashion / Guide To Natural Hair Product by franklin202(m): 2:49pm On Jun 18, 2022
Choosing the product to apply to your natural hair should be considered before applying it.
Not all hair products work exactly the same for everyone's hair. A hair product may work well for my hair and may not work well for yours, so it is best advised to know the type of hair product that suits your hair and to know the best way to apply them to your natural hair.
• To start with, knowing the best relaxer that suits your natural hair is a good thing to know, because some relaxers can cause skin infection in some people, scarring of the scalp in some people, and even hair thinning and permanent hair loss in some cases, so it would be better to stick to the relaxer that best suits your hair in other to avoid all this.
• Knowing the best shampoo for your natural hair would make your hair healthy and would also avoid loss of hair, damage of the hair, and clogged hair follicles (which means suffering from thinning hair).
• Knowing the best moisturizer would also be advisable because some moisturizers can cause clogged pores and increase acne, which can cause a painful pimple or swollen lump filled with pus under the skin.
• Knowing the best hair cream for your hair will also be advisable because some hair creams can weaken the connection between the hair keratin fibrils, resulting in brittle hair which is easily destroyed.
• Know which hair booster to use because some can cause skin rash, itching, peeling, and other side effects.
• Knowing the best conditioner that suits your hair and sticking to it will also be good. Conditioners are generally available in three categories:
1. Leave-in conditioner-is used after you wash your hair and is applied from the tip to the root of your natural hair and is not rinsed out.
2. Rinsed out conditioners-are used every time you wash your hair and are then rinsed out.
3. Deep conditioner- these are penetrating conditioners that add moisture and protein to the hair strand. Before using this conditioner, shampoo your hair first, then start rubbing the conditioner at the ends of your hair, then massage it up to your scalp.
But it is better if you use a leave in conditioner for your natural hair.
If you ultimately find natural hair products that work well for your natural hair, then you have accomplished your goal to guide your natural hair.

Fashion / Hair Brush Guide 101 -which Hair Brush To Use And When by franklin202(m): 2:41pm On Jun 18, 2022
There are so many types of hair brushes that can be used for different purposes. Examples of these hair brushes are:-

A detangling hair brush- this brush is used for detangling a person's hair when it is tangled. For example, a person's hair can tangle when he or she sleeps, so when the person wakes up, he or she can use the detangling hair brush to detangle his or her hair.
Thermal brush - if you have fine medium textured hair, a thermal round brush would be best for you, here is why these thermal round brushes are designed to create smoothness and volume in someone who's tasks volume and reduce the frizz in those who have fragile, frizzy stand.
Cushion brush - cushion brushes have soft rubber bases and stiff wire or plastic bristles. The stiff bristles are effective at stimulating the scalp and are good for brushing out dandruff or buildup from hair styling products and possibly for stimulating hair growth.
Round brush - round brush are ideal for creating that volume and body in your hair. This is the brush you want to use when you are blow-drying your hair. Small-sized brushes create tighter curls, while brushes with larger barrels are known to straighten hair and create subtle waves.
Vented brush - vent brush is the best choice for quickly blow-drying soaking wet hair. The vents allow hot air to flow through them, reaching all layers of the hair.
Wet hair brush-  you can use a wet brush on curly hair. The wide set bristler works well at gently detangling curly hair without snagging or creating unwanted damage. The wet brush works well at getting rid of tangles during a deep conditioning treatment and after a shower. The wet brush is made to work well on all hair types.
A curved brush - if your lashes are straighter than uncooked spaghetti, a curved wand will hug your lashes from the root to the tip, curling your lashes as you coat them. For a curl that really lasts, start with an eyelash curler and opt for a water-proof formula to prevent the dreaded 'droopage'.
Teasing brush- this can be done to produce hairstyles such as a bouffant or a beehive, or just to add volume and size to a plainer hairstyle. A teasing brush is used instead of a comb when hair is delicate and might be more easily damaged by a comb; the bristles of the brush are less likely to pull as hard on the hair.
Nylon bristle brush - they are often stiffer than boar bristles. Use a nylon bristle brush to penetrate thick hair and to detangle it. Boar bristles are usually softer than nylon. Use a boar bristle brush on fine, thin or damaged hair and for brushing out a style to create a fuller look.
