I have a degree in a health related course. Please how do I go about it. Ur response and possible links will be appreciated.
I got answers to my questions also in the earlier discussions. Thanks for your attention
It's very possible. In 2 years with the MSc course you will be a registered nurse in UK and can work in any EU country |

Arhmiee:
The information is 100% correct. In UK, you can apply for 2 years MSc Nursing program that leads to registration irrespective of what you studied in Bsc. Though most schools will want a science related Bsc and 2.1 and above. Some need work experience in a health care setting. Most require minimum of 2:2 self not 2:1 1 Like |

Slimgold2019: Do you mean someone can go for Pre-registration Nursing (Msc) irrespective of whether you have first degree in any other course (ie Economics) as my case & would be able to work after completion & registered with NMC in Uk.. Yesssssssss ohhhhhhhh. You can, very well. In 2 years only you might not spend up to 2 years self maybe 20 or 21 months depending on your intake. You can even apply by yourself and you will get the course 2 Likes |

DrLuv: hi all, I am very sorry if i appear to derail your thread with a rather bizzarre inquiries of mine.
I heard there is a form of accelerared nursing programme in the UK for those with a Bsc.
I have not been able to get hold of some valid information about this.the little information i have is that if one has a BSc, one can apply for a MSc in nursing making one eligible to be registered withNMC.
unfortunately I do not have anymore information about this pathway.I would not know if anyone on this platform can help me with this info or there is some1 somewhere who took or is on this route to get registered with NMC or there is any Thread to this respect.
please I tender my apology once again for this derailing inquiries.
Many thanks Yes you are right for those without BSc in nursing, they can go for MSc pre-registration nursing for 2 years |

Hubbysluv: I was asked question based on scenario on people with mental health issues showing you aggressive behaviour during your support hour, how will you handle such as a professional?
Also, what will you do when you observe during your ward round shift with an experience colleague, you notice that he/she put the wrong dose of medication and you notify him/her about it, will you escalate what happen or keep quiet to avoid him/her losing the job?
Thanks dearie, did it yesterday, it was cool. Hoping to get an offer |

omopapa: It comes in different forms for example they can ask you what would you do if a patient is feeling agitated and refusing their meds
ok great, how long did the interview last? |
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by FrannyTee(f): 1:33pm On May 26, 2020 |
Hubbysluv: Yes I was interviewed early January for M.Sc. Mental Health Nursing Two people a guy and a lady. The interview is basically on your experience in the care sector and knowledge of the profession you want to go into. Why did you want to study this course and a little about my background experience in healthcare Why Oxford Brookes Uni What are your strength and weakness The guy asked me scenario based question based on challenging behaviour They also ask me skills i must possess as a nurse
I was given conditional offer but from my research Oxford seems expensive for me so i didn't take the offer.
Good luck
Thanks a lot, I appreciate, please could you give me an instance of the challenging based questions asked? |

beautyfoch: Regarding the interview, you need to familiarize yourself with the 6 C's of Nursing and have a practical example of how each applies to you
I was asked the reason why I want to study Nursing
I should reflect on a time I did something I'm really proud of
Also to reflect on a time I helped someone make a decision and why I think it's the right decision
What are my strength and weaknesses
What are the challenges I feel I might encounter while studying Nursing
These are the much I can remember.
Note: Try as much as possible to answer every question you're asked with practical examples relating to the 6C's of Nursing
I wish you the best in your interview.
Meanwhile I received an offer from them though their conditions are much. I'm yet to make a decision ![smiley](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/smiley.png)
Ok seen, which other school where you given an offer? the funny thing is I didn't even use my transcript for the application only for me to open my mail and see invitation from them for an interview. Was even looking at January intake since the pandemic is delaying me receiving my transcript. |
