I created a thread for her here on nairaland and proposed to her on the thread. She accepted and we got married some months later. It has been an interesting journey. God has blessed us with a boy already. Expecting another smiley

Before I married my wife, I bragged a lot that my proposal would be epic.

So, one day.. I arranged with two friends to pay her a surprise visit at her home.

But on getting there, we found a full house....some of her family members had been invited for lunch.
They were busy chatting, laughing...
Our presence was not even noticed. Even my wife couldn't find time to introduce me, her boyfriend. Awkward moment....

I looked at my friends. Mehn...shame wan kill me!
Finally, we gave clumsy excuses and left.

It was later in the evening I called and explained to her why I visited without informing her. It was still in that phone call I made my proposal

And she accepted.

Share yours....

Not every woman is wired same. A vast majority go thru similar symptoms.

Before now, has she ever behaved like this? If she did, I doubt she'd be your wife right now..

Now that you know its a phase, try not to take it to heart...dat way, U dont get pissed.. cos if u get pissed and shez pissed/moody/crazy, it'll be an all out war. U need to take ur rage out of her reaction cos it wont help U get thru the whole period (9 solid months).

Kachisbarbie:

It doesn't happen to every woman. Fortunately or unfortunately it is happening to your wife. Please bear with her...it's just for a while.
You never even see anything, wait till she enters labour room and swears for your ancestors join grin.
Ok, thank you

Mood swings... manage her. Once she has put to bed, it will drastically reduce.
But does it happen to all women?

Did it happen to you? you don't understand. She gets annoyed easily and blames me for everything...everything!

The truth is that some pregnant women behave worse than untrained kids. And you have to control them all the time otherwise they'd disgrace you.
Pls when will it end? She easily gets provoked these days

It started February 26th when she asked for catfish pepper soup.

After buying it, she tasted it, frowned and pushed it aside, said it's tasteless...then started nagging me of not being a caring husband. That's not true!

Next time, on the road...she told me stop and buy her ice cream, then again gala, then again pop corn!!! I complained of her strange eating habit. She got angry and threw everything away. Again, I'm not caring!!

Last Sunday, she disgraced me...yes, disgraced me, because she I took her a family meeting. They served her rice but she still went to beg an old woman to share her pounded yam with her!!!!

Someone said pregnant ladies act strange but this one is madness! I've called her mom to come take care of her daughter by herself.

Or I'd leave one day and won't come back!

Bride price in my town (somewhere in Anambra) is just about 1k and the brides parents takes care of every expense during the introduction. The only time the groom spends any money is during the traditional and church wedding.
That's fair

Nobody should take all of you seriously. How many hausa do u see talking like this among their own? even yorubas are not like this among themselves.bigot.

There should never be a ibgo president in Nigeria ever, with the type of hatred u people have,u can kill ur own takless of stranger.
If they insult all of u,you will be calling people haters while you are the real haters among urselves.

When I see topics like this, what comes to mind next is see "poverty"....O God please give me wealth so that when I am about getting married even if they call 10m, I will gladly pay. OP pray to be successful. What is 1.1m? Dude pray for God's blessings. When my sister got married only introduction was entering millions let alone traditional and white....I pray to have the resources and marry who I like rather than lamenting.....
There's no sense in this.

Must everybody be rich?

What is the fate the average man?

Should he rather remain single since the cash doesn't flow his way?

Op am from mbaise, and is not like that in my place, just give ur inlaw 30k for the umunna and youth and 20k for the women, with a bag of rice, salt, stockfish, tin tomatoes and soaps. Then u can settle ur inlaw with any amount u feel like. The only important thing is the umunna and the women. Every girl want to change her surname now.
I heard it's not the same in the whole of Mbaise. The place I'm talking about is Aboh Mbaise
