Notice how the west needed to start this north Korean narrative before admitting that there was no stalemate. I'm wondering if the next step is to say:

"Ukraine lost the war, but Russia didn't win it, north Korea won the war"

It seems to me that the new air defense which Iran is deploying is geared towards drones and other low flying projectiles which is not the case for classical air defense systems like the S300 and above.

If you don't want me to quote you, then just say so. By adding disrespectful words, you are inviting me to quote you while asking me to not quote you. Be consistent. Here are some examples of how to ask someone, in a rational way, to never quote you again :

"Don't quote me"
"Never quote me again"
"Let us never talk to each other again"
...

Everything you write should have a purpose, asking to not be quoted while inviting quotes by your actions is just stupid.

But rest assured, I won't quote you again. I usually don't read what you write but sometimes (like in this instance), I read comments before being aware of who wrote them.

I saw the word "proof" which is an important word to mathematicians like my self, and I noticed it was badly used by a person who seems to not know the meaning of the word.

What if they never recover ? The only way for them to recover is to beg Russia to let them recover and to become a threat to Russians again.

Something tells me Russia will say no. This is not a loan, it's a donation disguised as a loan.

My point was that, it is wrong to put legitimate military targets in civilian areas.

His claim was that the white house was in a civilian area and that there were air defense put next to it.

He might have been wrong about the white house being in a civilian area or about air defense being next to the white house. Whatever the truth may be, puting legitimate military targets in civilian areas is a war crime.

I think presidential buildings are considered like military headquarters, that makes them legitimate military targets. So whatever you do, don't build your house near a presidential building.
babyboy4every1:

I like your analysis really. In fact, you're one of the person i love reading their comments here. Sir, 🇺🇸 putting AD to protect white house, is quiet difference from IDF deliberately placing it at civilian settlements when dey knew it is a legitimate target. It out the civilian at risk. If white house wasn't built there, AD wouldn't be there. I quoted you because yiu agreed that America made a mistake by placing AD to protect the white house. Did yii really agreed America made a mistake or you're pulling his legs.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by Ghostagain: 12:02pm On Nov 01
Well if true, then the Americans made a big mistake. The fact the Americans do something doesn't make that thing legitimate or justified.
You can't have air defense systems in a civilian area, that turns the civilian area into a legitimate military target.

The white house is located in a civilian area of DC, that's my point

Air defense systems are legitimate military targets. Putting a legitimate military target in a civilian area is a war crime. Even though there are civilians surrounding the military target, the enemy may still legitimately hit the legitimate military target.
obedience4:

What baffles me is how does an air-defence systems become a human shield to you?🤣🤡

Technically, the white house is not a civilian building and in case of war in the USA, it would be a legitimate military target for the enemy force.

Even the white house that's in the center of Washington DC has air-defences.

Active duty American soldiers are fighting in Ukraine and in Kursk under the Ukrainian flag. So tell me what the fuss is about north Korea possibly joining the fight. Or must the fight remain between Russia and the 34 NATO countries plus Ukraine? Is that what you guys consider the natural way ?

USA is allowed to always fight with help from more than 30 countries and USA fans see that as proof of USA strength, but God forbid if Russia comes to war with just one ally by its side, then to you guys it is proof that Russia is running out of men and is weak...

But heh, you guys literally worship DOUBLE STANDARDS !

Unfortunately west African history is often politicised and not taken very seriously by most western laboratories who basically do not fund research on west African history and therefore allow for people to present fairytales as history. So it is very difficult to find a source which you can identify as trusted. But you may ask some people I know here like @samuk and @gregyboy, they have a few sources who researched west African history seriously.

Me, I got curious about my people's history when I was a student in mathematics, I went through the flow of claims and counter claims and unsubstantiated claims, then I used my brain to first learn how to conduct proper research by myself with the use of logic. I then set a few ground rules:

1. Any information must be proven.
2. To prove a historical event, you need eyewitness written documents testifying to the event.
3. I concluded that history was the study of eyewitness written documents and and eyewitness created artefacts (depending on the context).
4. I also concluded that it is impossible to have too much detailed information about the past unless you are doing creative writing.
5. I found out through my previous lectures on European and Egyptian history that I had basically discovered on my own the standards which serious history researchers apply to their research.

6. So the best is to look for precolonial documents which you can find in big libraries like the BnF of France and other big libraries in Europe or America. Unfortunately the people who witnessed our ancestors and had the ability to write about their encounters were Europeans and what they wrote remains in european or American libraries, so you need to search those libraries to see what they saw.

7. The website of the BnF of France is called Gallica, you can find a lot of precolonial documents on our region there.

You can also search for precolonial documents in websites such as the following, but always be careful to not fall into a website with fakes
https://www.google.com/search?q=zncient+maps+of+africa&oq=zncient+maps+of+africa&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTILCAEQABgNGBMYgAQyCggCEAAYExgWGB4yCggDEAAYExgWGB4yCggEEAAYExgWGB4yCggFEAAYExgWGB4yCggGEAAYExgWGB4yCggHEAAYExgWGB4yCggIEAAYExgWGB4yCggJEAAYExgWGB4yCggKEAAYExgWGB4yCggLEAAYExgWGB4yCggMEAAYExgWGB4yCggNEAAYExgWGB4yCggOEAAYExgWGB7SAQg3NzUxajBqN6gCFLACAQ&client=ms-android-oneplus-terr2-rso3&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8&chrome_dse_attribution=1#vhid=0bXu3Ed1HCFlPM&vssid=_mOojZ7GhJc6kkdUPu9P0oA0_34

Benin empire was not subdued or defeated in 1885, Benin was only defeated by the British in 1897. And it was a war between Benin empire and the British empire !

The way you guys just keep trying to downplay Benin at every turn is disgusting !

Don't believe all you read.
First of all the concept of yoruba which you have today is not a reflexion of precolonial realities. Jebu for exemple didn't consider themselves yoruba, their ethnic group was jebu. Yoruba is a new thing. So there was no "yoruba civil war", there were just wars between independent kingdoms.

Also the Sokoto/Kano and Bornu fought bravely against the British contrary to the yoruba who actually gave up sovereignty without a fight but also collaborated with the British against the other local precolonial countries.
Mrexcell:

The briton might have a point here I read that the yorubas fought a civil war for over a decade before the coming of the british to yorubaland who then bought peace to the region while the hausafulanis in the north surrendered themselves to british rule cause they dont know what to do with themselves.

The biggest problem of most Nigerians is their lack of education. Even graduates in Nigeria are not up to educational standards elsewhere in the world. A 30 year old Nigerian has the mental acumen of a 9 year old European kid. All this goes down to education. Nigerians confuse fairytales like that of Santa with actual history. Nigerians believe in religious texts literally and in other kinds of magic.

They need education, and they hate education, rough combo. Also they are extremely arrogant.
Golan007:

You've said it all.

It is clear that many Nigerians are intellectually bereft, and lacking in any form of self-esteem.

Clearly, they do not read, do not know their history, and consider material things such as mobile phones, high rise buildings and mirrors as worth their enslavement.

The way their forefathers were enslaved out of ignorance.

Unfortunately, this generation does not have the excuse of no previous experience.

They are lost and must perish.

So speaking the truth is considered as an act of hatred now ? I guess that in your world view every black person should thank any other black person who does him wrong, because that is your idea of solidarity ?

For your info, except the jebu who didn't consider themselves yoruba in precolonial days, the rest were complicit with the colonizers and never fought against the colonizers. Even up to today, the yorubas vividly thank the British for colonization, because while we were killed and our cities were burnt down by the colonizers the yoruba were elevated by the same colonizers.

Pan Africanism is not about blinding yourself and thinking we all have the same world view , it's about knowledge first, knowing the truth and being wise. Look at the Oni of ife, he was a mere priest before colonization, but thanks to colonization and his usefulness to the colonizers, he was artificially made a king by the colonizers and now he even calls himself "emperor". Some yorubas were actual slave returnees from places like Brazil, they were deported to our region and as soon as they landed they already had a written language (that of the Europeans) and they considered the Europeans their true friends and they saw us as a threat, just like their brothers in Liberia who were slave returnees saw the whites and the locals...

Historical research is important if you want to actually be s true Pan-Africanist.

All true African indigenous rulers in what we call Nigeria today were severely dealt with by the British, the sultan of Sokoto was killed, the Oba of Benin was exiled and many of his chiefs were killed and even humiliated after death, the emir of Kano was also severely dealt with, the emperor of Bornu was also dealt with, meanwhile the yoruba monarchs and those yoruba whom the British would elevate to kingship were collaborating with the British and getting the favours of the British.
The kingdom of Benin was totally destroyed and non Edo people were brought into parts of Benin kingdom by the British and those non Edo people were encouraged to declare those lsnds as their own land and not Benin land, also monarchs who previously paid tribute to the Oba of Benin were made to declare independence from Benin...

He's a kid, stop engaging with him, you are wasting your time. You can't gain anything from discussing with a kid and you can't teach a kid who believes he knows it all. So the discussion is pointless.

YoungBlackRico:
Getting those things would have probably taken time but they are all things we could have gotten through TRADE, without necessarily been enslaved.
ThierryJay:

Still not getting it. Yes we would have been late to the party without colonization, but by now we would still have had some exposure.

There are currently territories that were NOT colonized but still have some level of development . Trade made this happen. There can be interactions without colonization.

So do not assume by looking at only one side of the issue.

It's a little bit more complicated than that, and the slave coast was an actual coast and there was nothing called Nigeria back then... You have to do proper research before talking about a topic.
But indeed some Nigerians are uncle Toms, but it's not just Nigerians, many Africans suffer from low self esteem. Many suffer from mental illness.
