A Nigerian man working abroad has been fired for sexually harassing a Nigerian women who works in the same company.

The woman involved narrated the incident on Twitter.

She wrote: “There’s this Nigerian associate of ours, as per we’re from same country, he hangs around to chat a little after business. One day he stopped by and told me he needed a mask and I pulled one out of my drawer and handed to him…

“He laughed and said he really didn’t need it. He was hoping I’d get off my seat to find him one so he can check out my ass. My boss heard and he’s now been terminated.”

Armed robbers who shot dead a 10-month-old baby arrested hours after robbery operation.

Six out of the seven members of a robbery gang which shot and killed a 10-month-old baby in Macheke, Zimbabwe, have been arrested hours after the heinous crime.

The gang reportedly attacked the home of businessman Shephard Haruzivi late in the night. It was gathered that after Haruzivi fired two shots at the gang with his registered gun, the armed robbers returned fire and, in the process, killed 10-month-old Moreblessing Haruzivi.

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a bride, Farmatof Paul, few hours to her wedding in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.

According to Nigerian Tribune, Farmat was abducted on Sunday, January 2, at the residence of her pastor where she had gone to pass the night before her wedding, being the practice of the church.

A passenger boat was attacked by gunmen in Bayelsa on New Year’s Eve.

The attack occurred after the boat which had 14 passengers, left Yenagoa for Twon-Brass in Brass Local Government Area of the state.

While the passengers were unhurt in the attack, the gunmen made away with the 115-horsepower Yamaha outboard engine of the boat and dispossessed the passengers of their valuables.

Bayelsa chairman of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, Mr Ogoniba Ipigansi confirmed the incident and also said a rescue team was dispatched to the scene of the incident.

Governors and other visitors to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, will henceforth, take rapid COVID-19 test to be allowed into the seat of power, the Presidency said in a new regime of protocol it announced yesterday.

The regulation will be applied on visitors to President Muhammadu Buhari and any other visitor to the State House.

Senior Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Mallam Garba Shehu said the new regulation for gaining access into the Villa became imperative, following the global spike in the virus’ cases, especially the Omicron variant.

He said the recent development in the Villa, which saw some officials and aides of the President testing positive for COVID-19, also informed the measure.

Not less than 2,500 Islamic clerics on Saturday took part in a special prayer session in Kano State organized in support of the presidential ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Kafin-Maiyaki and had other Imams and politicians from Kano in attendance.

It is further understood that the prayer was organized by a former House of Representatives Member and Managing Director, Federal Housing Authority, Abdullmumini Jibrin Kofa.

A Nigerian lady has taken to Facebook to share screenshot of message she got from a struggling ‘entitled’ Pastor she gifted money.

Lolo Nneka recalled how the Pastor once asked her to buy him a car because “his kids cry when they see other people’s cars”.



Sharing a recent experience, the Facebook user revealed that after she and a friend gifted the Pastor N20k each, he asked her to buy his wife a phone because she has not had any for some time.

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, says he needs just $36bn to connect the entire nation by rail.

Amaechi said this on NTA’s ‘Good Morning Nigeria’ programme which was monitored by The PUNCH on Friday.

The minister explained that railway is capital intensive and this has made it difficult for private firms to invest in the sector.

He said the reason the Nigerian government has been borrowing funds from overseas is because only the government is able to come up with the needed collateral to take such loans.When asked why the Kaduna-Abuja railway had not been linked to Lokoja, Amaechi responded, “If we had money, I would want to be the minister that initiated and completed the linking of Nigeria. All I need is $36bn. With $36bn, all of them (will be linked).

Kaitlin Gee-Akwada, a young Nigerian student, Kaitlin Gee-Akwada, has been made the vice chancellor of her university after getting a perfect CGPA of 5.0.

Gee-Akwada was the vice chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu, and she documented her time there on her Instagram profile.

The young lady confirmed that she genuinely declared her CGPA into being in a joyful post she published on Thursday, October 28.

She claimed that she had written a speech a year ago in honor of an upcoming event, despite the fact that her CGPA had not yet reached the perfect mark.

The body of Archbishop Desmond Tutu was carried Thursday into a historic cathedral where he once railed against the white rule to allow South Africans to bid farewell to the anti-apartheid icon.

A small bouquet of carnations was placed on top of a simple pine coffin carried by six Anglican priests.

Tutu’s successor, Thabo Makgoba, said a prayer after priests burnt incense over the coffin before it was lifted from the hearse.

Tutu’s widow Leah walked slowly behind as the coffin entered the cathedral in the city center.
