I was hoping someone could help me with finding a good place to buy wedding rings in Abuja. I know I could go to Wuse Marketer but I was hoping people new of any jewellery stores or someone who sells rings for both men and women in white gold? I only moved to Abuja a few months ago and I am not very familiar with the shops here. Thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thank you to everyone so far who has given advice. I only have two weeks to go before I fly into Lagos and spend some time with my friend. I am very much looking forward to learning about another culture and hopefully making some new friends. Just a few things I have noticed on this forum, not just my topic but many others, it seems the responses start off well and then some people get a little sensitive and before you know it the topic has become a slinging match between bloggers. I think we all need to remember this forum is out here to help people and whilst I believe in freedom of speech and opinion, somethings are better left unsaid. So lets all just smile ![]() |

@LAJ2K It seems no one is actually willing to give you info on Australia and they just keep questioning your intentions. So irrelevant of your visa I am an Aussie so hopefully can help. I live in Melbourne but i have visited a few times Sydney is a very fast paced city. You either love it or prefer the more slower pace of Melbourne. Sydney has a beautiful waterfront called Darling Habour where you will find restauarants lined along the waterfront as well as some great bars and clubs. So I reccomend you head there for some fun and great eating. Cargo @ Darling Harbour is a nice bar Tank Nightclub also known as RnB Superclub is fantastic @ Bridge Lane, Sydney There are heaps of clubs in Sydney |

@Hamsters Thanks so much for the link I will definitly take your advice on the magazine. I think when I land in Lagos i will probably jump straight on another plane to Abuja. So I will end up in Abuja first. The rock formations in Abuja look amazing! It sounds like Lagos is pretty full on so maybe I do need to venture back south after some time in the North and then hopefully drive back up. @Suxes & @Justwise I dont mind the questions, I can handle them ![]() |

@Tamita I know I sound very naive but you will be amazed by the lack of tourist information on the web. And i didnt want to do the whole Lonely Planet thing and look like a REAL tourist ![]() Guess I will venture to Lagos and go with the flow ![]() |

I am staying with a friend who lives there and I am planning on spending my time mainly in Abuja but I will have time to travel around. I am sure my friend knows where to take me but I thought if I knew of a few places then they wouldn't have to stress on what I might want to see. |

Just joined so I can reply to this thread. I know the thread is a little old but it's actually an issue I am facing now. At first everyone seemed so open minded and then a few people have bombarded this thread with horrible comments to the poor woman who started it. May I hope that she is still with her man and very happy together. I am Australian and dating a Nigerian man. I am going to see the country and meet the family shortly. I understand there will be a few people who may not like what they see and may even express their opinions LOUDLY, but I really hope for the majority that I will be accepted. I have always lived a life where colour and race means nothing to me. And call me naive but I would like to think that there are people in this world who also think the way I do. I am happy to take the criticism but would love to hear on people's thoughts about this again in the current year of 2010. 1 Like |
