Is it true that ROCHAS won? I just called Owerri and got the message but it has not been announced officially by inec? I really do not know why it is taking ages for inec to announce the results from just 4 lgas. |

How on earth will I know? I am in the UK and would not know. It may be either of the two contenders. |

Which pleople snatched the ballot boxes? I cannot wait any longer to read or hear the result. I also heard that there are loads of military presence in Imo so that will make rigging a bit difficult. |

ROCHAS GOES TO COURT!!! OWELLE ROCHAS OKOROCHA (L), GOVERNOR IKEDI OHAKIM (R). ABUJA, May 04, (THEWILL) – The electoral crisis surrounding the number one seat in Imo State may after all not be resolved on May 06, 2011, as the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and its Governorship candidate for Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okoroacha have invoked the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court in the FCT to stop the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from going ahead with its planned supplementary election in four local government areas of Imo State, where it declared the April 26, 2011, governorship election as inconclusive. The duo of APGA and Okorocha in a notice filed today on their behalf by their lawyer, Professor Francis Dike (SAN) before Justice Donatus Okorowo warned that a breakdown of law and order would envelop the state if the court does not stop INEC from going ahead with the election. The matter has slated been slated for hearing tomorrow (May 05, 2011). They also argued that the proposed supplementary election is in breach of the Electoral Act which clearly stipulates that election into the office of the governor of a state must be conducted not earlier than 150 days and not later than 30 days before the expiration of the term of office of the last holder of that office. The two injunctive reliefs being sought from are: a) An order of interlocutory injunction suspending the decision of INEC to conduct supplementary election or any other election howsoever called on the May 6th, 2001 or any other date into the office of the Governor of Imo State pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit. b) An order of interlocutory injunction restraining INEC from taking any step whatsoever or conducting supplementary elections or any elections howsoever called on the May 6th, 2011 or any other date into the Office of the Governor of Imo State pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit. That Rochas Okorocha won 12 out of the 24 local government councils where elections were held as against PDP candidate Ikedi Ohakim, who won in 11 local government areas, according to the a 25-paragraph affidavit attached to the suit and deposedto by a lawyer at the chambers of the plaintiffs’ lawyer, Mr. Jude Nsofor. That by the released result of the Mbaitolu Local Government Area by INEC upon conclusion of the election in the council area, that Okorocha led the other contestants with 17, 757 votes while the PDP runner up scored 12,440 votes. That of the said 11 Local Government Areas declared to have been won by the PDP, the plaintiffs also scored not less than 25 per cent of total votes cast in five of the council areas namely, Aboh-Mbaise, Ahiazu-Mbaise, Ikeduru, Nwangele and Ezinihitte Mbaise local government areas. That the plaintiffs scored 299,253 votes out of the total votes cast in the election including Mbaitolu LGA result while PDP, the runner up scored 291,365 votes. That when the results of the election in Mbaitolu LGA were added the plaintiffs had scored not less than 25 per cent of the total votes cast in 18 local government areas being two-thirds f the 27 local government areas of Imo State. WHY DID rochas GO TO COURT? I RECKON THAT HE AND HIS SUPPORTERS ARE AFRAID THAT OHAKIM WILL WIN COME FRIDAY |

@eze, , I think you are even more arrogant than the Ohakim you people are trying to crucify in the alter of internet forum. How can you tell a fellow person to shut up? Most of you should grow up and be more polite when you deal with people. |

@bros1234 You need to be sorry for your myopic vision about OHAKIM and not me!! Most people here come here and write rubbish things about OHAKIM they overheard inside keke. Funny enough these are the same keke OHAKIM introduced in Imo State. |

@drpolitics 'I will vote Ohakim a thousand times if they were one thousand elections. The truth is for most of us who grew up in Jos were Rochas is said to have appeared from. WE know how shady a character he is, Rochas claims to be a millioniare business man but can anybody point to anybody of Imo Extract that Rochas has empowered in Business? OK, I"m sure the next thing I would hear is Rochas foundation. What is Rochas foundation? It is just a vehicle to attract foreign funds to fund education for the less privileged. You, I and Rochas know very well that it is not his money. Rochas has defrauded many in the past and particularly is responsible for deaths of Nigerian Children. He was given the Contract to import Vaccines into Nigeria and he imported fake and Substandard vaccines, bribed NAFDAC agents and broke the cold chain by using a tipper instead of a cooling van to transport these vaccines, I think his popularity comes from the relative distance of his crimes from the heartland, making him seem like a free education monger, It's a shame that Imo people have been charmed by this goon, I pray God would save us from the fire we are about to jump into because we feel the frying pan is warm, VOTE OHAKIM AND PROF. VIOLA ONWULIRI VOTE OHAKIM AND PROF. VIOLA ONWULIRI VOTE OHAKIM AND PROF. VIOLA ONWULIRI VOTE OHAKIM AND PROF. VIOLA ONWULIRI VOTE OHAKIM AND PROF. VIOLA ONWULIRI VOTE OHAKIM AND PROF. I am glad someone has finally told us what ROCHAS stand for. Long live Imolites!!! Long live OHAKIM and VIOLA!!! |

Why should pro Ohakim PEOPLE like me be kicked out of the forum? You are just myopic!!! We have the right to support whoever we like. All of us should not be praise singers for ROCHAS. |

I love this forum although I am a few days old in it. I think it will all be nice if we all arrange to meet up so that we can celebrate Ohakim's second tenure as a governor of our dear state come next week. I am getting so confident by the hour that Ohakim will win obviously with no rigging. Please I am calling on every Imolite here to vote Ohakim so that the margin will be enormous. ROCHAS nearly won the election but that will only remain NEARLY WON. Maybe next 4 years, If I am still alive will be supporting ROCHAS (if he will still be alive and interested to rule Imo) |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by godobim: 8:30pm On May 01, 2011 |
Tobe1988 I am happy with the level of maturity you have showed in this forum. I am going to reserve some wine for you from the celebration (I am serious, over here in the UK). Ohakim will win because he deserves a second term to complete all the good work he initiated. People are starting to realise that they better stick with the devil they know rather than the purported 'god sent' ROCHAS. |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by godobim: 7:51pm On May 01, 2011 |
Cmon, I am really happy that you got the proof that you wanted about Ohakim and his deeds in Imo. Some people just dislike him just because the next person close to them do so. People should look at facts before condemning Ohakim. He is human and like every other leader made mistakes in the past. I have a strong feeling that he will be a better leader if he gets a second mandate. I am positive that he will win come saturday. VOTE OHAKIM!!! VOTE OHAKIM!!!! |

I am glad that some pro Ohakim camp are now in this forum. I am glad that people are putting sentiments aside and then thinking rationally towards the governor and all he has done for Imo state. Ohakim should be supported to win because he did much in his first 4 years so I am 101% sure tht he will do more during the second term. I agree that he has messed up big time on certain issues but we are all humans so we should forgive him. |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by godobim: 11:08pm On Apr 30, 2011 |
The report i heard this morning from a very reliable source was that as of yesterday, the election result declared Rochas is leading having scored about 270 something thousand votes and his closes rival {the Evil man} has about 260 something thousand votes but Rochas is leading with more than 12 thousand votes, this is from Political Platform on Raypower a strong investigative journalist, so the conclusion was that it will be better if INEC can declare ROchas the winner and ask PDP to go to the court if they dont accept the result or declare a state of emergency after today, Posted by a ROCHAS follower yesterday! It will be APGA 51% and PDP 49%. |

I did the calculations based on the earlier figures provided by the followers of ROCHAS. |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by godobim: 10:41pm On Apr 30, 2011 |
I am not related to Ohakim in anyway!!! You guys should should be a bit humane and considerate when rubbishing governor Ohakim. What will some of you do if on the 7th of May or so he is announced as the winner? I bet most of you will keep mum and get back to your normal life. How on earth are you guys convinced that ROCHAS will be a better leader than Ohakim? All of you should remember that it is easier to critise from a distance than to be in the business of leading or governing a state. |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by godobim: 9:59pm On Apr 30, 2011 |
I do not know Ohakim in person but I am writing according to my feelings. I just visited Nigerian (2 weeks ago) and was impressed with what I saw in Imo State. I have also read alot about Ohakim and even watched his interviews. He is not my kettle of fish but taking into consideration that he has done 1000% better than Udenwa, I felt that Imo people should give him another mandate irrespective of this gross shortcomings. |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by godobim: 9:50pm On Apr 30, 2011 |
At least there is another person that agreed that Ohakim for once did something for Imo State. Thank you very much to educate me that Willie Amadi was reckless and Ohakim was unable to control him. Anyway that was a very big mistake which Ohakim is paying dearly for. People should try and pull the wools covering their eyes due to their dislike for Ohakim and that might make them start seeing properly. If they see clearly, then they will start identifying and appreciating all the good things Ohakim did for Imo State. |

I live in the UK and do not even have a vote in Nigeria but it is really worrying that a man like Ohakim is hated by everyone in this forum and beyond. What has he done to deserve such a dislike? Are you people saying that he has not done ANY good thing for Imo State? As regards the Onwuliris, I know that no person in Nigeria is loved by everyone so as a VC, he made good friends and enemies as well. I am still convinced that Ohakim should be allowed to have another mandate irrespective of his purported shortcomings. I know that he is at moment shaken by the sheer number of people that do not want him back as a governor. Personally, I have seen positive changes in Imo and though, I am not a fan of Ohakim but still think that he should be allowed to go again. |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by godobim: 4:31pm On Apr 30, 2011 |
If he rigged the Election how will one be convinced that ROCHAS did not also rig in his own camps! I think the bottom line is Ohakim's behaviour especially in the pas t has eclipsed his good work in Imo State. Please lets not allow sentiments to prevail but substance. Give PDP and OHAKIM/ONWULIRI your cherised mandates. |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by godobim: 4:10pm On Apr 30, 2011 |
I think it will be nice to state that [b]'you dont want Ohakim to be your Governor' and not 'we dont, '. Some of us would love Ohakim to be given another chance. Mind you that according to my calculations from whatever inec made public, pdp won about 49% of the declared votes and YOUR ROCHAS got 51%. So it will be an understatement to say that 'we' dont want Ohakim as our governor. Yes, I just created an account like you pointed out to write nonsense. It is a shame that most of us have just forgiven and forgotten about Udenwa who did not do a single thing for Imo state when he was a governor but now calling on Ohakim who as far as I am concerned has done much to be crucified. Give him a chance becuase he is human and not 'god sent' like your ROCHAS. |
Politics / Re: Imo State Guber: Rochas Okorocha Has Won! by godobim: 3:16pm On Apr 30, 2011 |
I sincerely see your point but I think the Ohakim will be humbled and would be doing all the right things IF he gets a second mandate. He might be proud, dubious etc but this will teach him a great lesson that people of Imo State are not pushovers as he thought. I also think that Ohakim's running mate Prof. Onwuliri will do her best to put him on the right footing. I am calling on everyone in those LGAs to please give Ohakim another chance. |

Following the April 26, 2011 governorship election in Imo State which the Returning Officer ruled inconclusive, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled supplementary election to hold in selected areas on Friday, May 6, 2011. The supplementary election will hold in four (4) Local Government Areas namely Ngor-Okpalla, Mbaitoli, Oguta and Egbema; as well as in Orji Ward in Owerri North Local Government Area. INEC urges all stakeholders to ensure the highest level of integrity and good conduct in the supplementary election to allow for smooth conclusion of the governorship poll. Abdullahi A. I am really concerned about the extent of back biting regarding Ohakim. I have not been to Nigeria for the past 4 years and lucky enough was there a few days ago. On a more serious note, the extent of change (for good) I saw in IMO was highly remarkable. This Ohakim might be all the things you people have been writing about him but one thing should be clear- he has done quite some good work in the state. The so called ROCHAS may not be a 'god sent' as you people are purporting. This is a man who has been nursing an ambition to rule Nigeria one day and has been spending billions of naira in the process. As Nigerians, do we assume that he will let all those money to go if in government! I think if elected as a Governor will recoup all the money and at the same time compensate his faithful followers with contracts and appointments. My fellow Imo PEOPLE i am appealing to all of you to support the EVIL you know than that you dont know. |
