He was born with a silver spoon, started his buisness with a loan at 21 and now he's currently the richest black man alive, the largest producer of cement in Africa, the highest employer in Nigeria and the list goes on...... Well, Air Force one is priceless - Its not for sale, it is for build. Build yours if you can, that's the only way you can afford it. So Nigeria or any other country for that matter cant afford Air Force 1

Oh please...... The FG can decide to order one with as much sophistication as that of the US president if they decide to soo a bench for you? \______

I like your positivism but with the sets of maggots and idiots that we have as rulers in Nigeria, you gonna wait for a very very very very long time.

See its not impossible for Nigeria. We can afford one even at the moment but Nigeria has a lot more to think about than getting a jumbo jet like the Air Force one for the president. Besides people like you will be the ones to complain that we are getting our priorities misplaced.

Apparently you don't know how must certification is needed to build houses overseas, from sprinklers to smoke alarm and the government even have fire hydrants so fire crews won't run out of water while fighting blazes.stop defending the indefensible.

Ermm I'm in the US and my apartment doesn't have a sprinkler, we've got a smoke detector though but no sprinklers..... I get your point though but Nigeria can't jump from A to Z... Everything will take its place eventually.

All you have to do here is dial 911 and an emergency dispatcher will answer the phone, you tell her your emergency issue, give her your location or general location and they'll dispatch the appropriate emergency services in your area to your location to help you.

I can't with some of you..... I just can't ... Sigh

Yes, 50 years+ since we got our independence we are still a "developing country". When countries like Malaysia and Singapore were worse than Nigeria back in the day, now they are ahead of us. It is a pity that we Africans cannot do anything on our own, yet we blame oyibo people for all our problems when we are the main ones causing it.

You know that malaysia and singapore are still considered third world countries no? ..... It takes more than just having skyscrappers to make you a first world nation.

When I first saw the post I was very skeptical about it. Nigeria......sad? I tried to maybe buy it but then I looked closer at the top 20's and there's no Syria, Somalia etc and all these places that are actually at war and there's Nigeria. Nahh these forbes people must be on something cos Nigerians are one of the most optimistic people on earth who always believe there's hope. Well I believe we are definitely not a sad Nation on the other hand we are one of the most Happiest set of people all over the world

MMotimo: You obviously do not own a home that was paid for from your income.

Do you know how much it costs to build a home in Naija? Even the telecomms, oil and bank workers borrow to build and these 3 are the highest paid groups in the country.

Well lets see, its true i haven't built a home wih my income becuase i'm still a STUDENT but we have 3 homes in Nigeria and each I can tell you figuratively is worth more than N50m (estimated by the way) and my dad didn't borrow a dime building any of them... And there are people who own way larger properties that also didnt borrow shi cheesy

Nitwit!! of course mortgages exist in Nigeria but people hardly use them, we'd rather take time and build a house to our taste or jut buy it off completely or after two or three payments. Generally depending on the relationship and agreement between the seller and the buyer.

You need to upgrade your comprehension skill bro. Where did i say they don't exist? I said could he name them?
And am asking you too the same question: who are the Nigerians that made their millions legitimately at 24? Who are they? You and others?

Lol.. I should start naming all the people i know that are millionaires at 24? Aii seen. For starters my cousin is a software engr working at some company ( can't recall the name) he's 23 and worth well over N10m. His younger sis is a petrochem engr and works with shell. My other cousin is a civil engr and he works for julius berger. He's also a millionaire; drives a 2012 C63 AMG ( go figure) another finished last year at 21 and is currently working at zenith. He rents an apt in lekki for N1.5m a year ....problem? Ernm i can go on and on but well if you didnt make it early theres hope for you aii.

Finally, don't diss my composition/ comprehension... I'm not writing a book or an essay that would be graded by you or anybody else.... Bench? \______

aasog1: Nigeria: Definition: A System Designed For Total Failure.

Dont get me wrong. You could still be a Millionaire at 24, and yet be a failure, eg: if you made your money from fraud, prostitution, etc.

The OP made alot of sense: how many Nigerians are living their dreams? How many leverages are around us? The only leverage you could find could only come from family...and nothing more!

We all know things wont be the way it is if Seun for example was an American. And I like most of you wont be where we are if we were Americans.

But the good thing is this: atleast, this failed generations have given us the youths so much challenges that would bring us to untold greatness. It just wont be easy....but becoming a millionaire, and an agent of change isnt impossible. If those before BRF havent performed woefully, do you think anyone would even take notice of his works? (please, this isnt about BRF, so how you interprete this is your ish).

@OP: Man, you wrote a crispy piece, but see, there is a great difference between "education" and "schooling". And one more thing, no matter the amount of talent or information or knowledge you possess, you will never be great unless you change how you see things. Thats why people like GEJ will FAIL no matter! Because, on a closer look, all you see is just another Nigerian! A product of the same failed system, not someone who has discovered himself. Anyways, I love Nigeria, and would never have wished to be created anywhere else in the world. I long made this peace with myself, and right now, Im learning to ignore all this insanity, and find meaning within the midst of the hurricane. And life isnt about what you got, its about what you do with what you got. All the best!

Frankly, you should get the hell outta of Nigeria since "America" can give you your dreams..... Nitwit
