Thanks for the support so far. I was the one who asked about a Toyota Rav4 gear replacement. The gear has been replaced, but I noticed a leak which a mechanic said is from the gear seal on the shaft. I would like to know if it is a simple fix.
Secondly, I noticed that the instrument cluster readings on my dash seem to have some form of zero error when the ignition key is in the "on" position. The tachometer seems to start at 500 rpm, pushing the idling value to around 1500 rpm. The speedometer and temperature gauges read way below zero and the fuel level does not go below a quarter tank even if the fuel is empty. These gauges rest at the zero point if the vehicle is turned off. Please advise if there is any solution as the reading on the temperature gauge seem to be causing the check engine like to come on (P0128 and P0118).

Hello everyone, I would appreciate an urgent response.
I recently got a 2007 Toyota Rav4 and found the gear in bad condition. Long story short, I have to fix the gear and the gear mechanic said it is a 13-pin gear, while the seller claims it cannot be 13-pin since the engine is 4 cylinders. I learnt that both repair and replacement costs are markedly higher in a 13-pin gear. I would like to know if it is possible to differentiate both gearboxes easily.

I really want godwin0420 to explain how he got the answer. I know for a fact that he is right, you can confirm by solving it backwards.
I also solved it myself but it took me a whole lot of time and I don't know how to explain it well, I sha developed this method and i'm pretty sure it works for all cases though it is a bit cumbersome and lengthy
1+2+...+(x-1) = y,
where x is the number of people in the party and y is the total number of handshakes. assuming the total number of people shaked each other just ones.

so therefore we have, 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11=66,
from this you can infer that (x-1)=11,
so therefore x = 12,
it works for all cases,
e.g if we had 6 hand shakes in all it means
1+2+3=6,
so therefore (x-1)=3, then x =4,
e.g2 if we had 10 handshakes in all it means
1+2+3+4=10,
so therefore (x-1) = 4, then x = 5.

I know there must be an easier way to this, oga godwin show us the way. This method above took me time to develop.
