Celebrities / Pastor Adeboye: I Walked A Mile To Avoid Fight With My Wife by goodnessme02: 2:52pm On Jan 23, 2020
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Adeboye, has shared an inspiring experience about his marriage to his wife Folu Adeboye.
Pastor Adeboye revealed that he walked a mile away from his wife some time ago when an argument erupted in his car.

According to the popular preacher, he got married when he was only 19 years so many people could predict what was going to happen to their marriage in the future but they determined to prove people wrong.

However, he stated that their resolution not to fight almost got broken one day.
He narrated that they were traveling to Lagos from Ilesha one day and then something made Mummy Folu angry and Pastor Adeboye said he knew she was right.

She was talking while Pastor Adeboye was driving.
He was angry as well but he could not talk and there was nowhere to run.
When Pastor Adeboye could not control it anymore, he parked the car and walked away because he did not want to break the rule.

He got down and walked back towards Ilesha.

He left Mummy Folu in the car with their baby.

After walking for a mile, he got to a village where they were selling fruit, he bought and ate some and then took the remaining to his wife in the car.

By now, she was worried and scared but when she saw him, she became happy.
Pastor Adeboye then presented her with the peace offering, the fruits.

He concluded that it was the action he took so as to avoid breaking their agreement.

although, there was a time some universities were shouting 3.0 CGPA up and down but that has since cooled down.
You should have included your course of study so that we can better inform you.

you can do Masters in OAU with that anyways......but competitive course of study can limit your chances

please help

does OAU offer Mass Communication as a course before the unbundling into 7 courses?

secondly, my niece dreams of Journalism as a career (basically news casting)
is it advisable she studies Mass Communication or English Studies?

Mass communication is now divided into
1. Journalism and media studies
2. Public relations studies
3. Advertising
4. Broadcasting
5. Film and multi-media studies
6. Development communication studies
7. Information and media studies

if she's to study mass comm, I feel she'll have to go for Journalism and Media Studies....what do you guys think?

Education / Teacher Registration Council Exam, Please Help by goodnessme02: 3:12pm On Dec 17, 2019
I am billed to sit for the up-coming teacher registration council exam slated for January next year and u practically don't have an idea of what it could be about.
Someone told me to read all the courses in education as the exam encapsulates everything but the truth is.....I don't think time is on my side for that.

If you have sat for this exam before, or know someone that has.....please I need your help.
I need to know probable areas that I can focus on so that I can do this once and for all.

I have paid money to someone that promised to help with past questions but appears the person is 419.....so I won't be taking the option of any help that has to do with past questions again except if you are willing to send it to me FREE of CHARGE.

Any assistance from you is highly appreciated....thank you
Celebrities / Re: Tacha To Angela Okorie, Jaruma...do You People Want My Blood? by goodnessme02: 3:10pm On Dec 10, 2019
I kinda feel ds BBNaija housemates always try to remain relevant as much as possible.....which is why they're always in the news
Celebrities / Tacha To Angela Okorie, Jaruma...do You People Want My Blood? by goodnessme02: 12:30pm On Dec 10, 2019
Speculations have been rift on for some time on the internet about the ungrateful nature of the hotheaded former Big brother Naija housemate, Natacha Akide. Jaruma and Toyin Lawani were the first set to come up with the allegation of how ungrateful Tacha is, Hauwa Saidu Mohammed popularly known as Jaruma alleged that she spent a lot of money on Tacha and used her platform to mobilize support for her when she was in the Big Brother house but when Tacha got disqualified a week to the show, she came out and never showed enough appreciation for all the Kayanmata dealer did for her and this infuriated her so much that she unfollowed the ‘I pin, I berekete, I full ground’ crooner.

Angela Okorie came out last week to also make the same allegation while explicitly stating her disgust for the reality star. In an Instagram post she made to explain her disdain for Tacha, quoted in par, she says…“This Right Here keeps me going. What Ever I do for people I don’t expect A pay-Back and that is why God keeps blessing me. But as a human being, I think I deserve Gratitude. Some people I helped like Tacha can’t even say thank you for giving her my platform to push her Brand as the matter of fact she ignores me.”

During a live video made Monday night, Tacha finally respond ed, firing back at her benefactors, asking if they want her blood in exchange of the support they rendered to her. Here is the transcription, read… “It’s really getting boring when people still go on going talking about you being you ungrateful. I mean, it’s really getting boring for me. I don’t know if it’s getting boring for you guys… Because its super boring for me, can you people get creative already? It’s like everybody has something to say. It’s like people try to frame up something to say, and the best pickup line for them is to say, “Tacha is ungrateful. It’s boring man! Me myself, I am tired of seeing it on blogs and social media. Can you guys get creative, say something else rather than say she is ungrateful. (Laughs hysterically) then continues… what exactly do you people want? (Stresses it) do you like want my blood or something? I mean tell me, because I really want to know. It’s really getting confusing… What do you people want? Every day you say Tacha is ungrateful repeatedly… can you people please come up with something else, come up with something new please, I beg you, come up with something else. You all know that everybody has the right to say whatever they want to say on social media… you all have your phones and your social media handles and feel free to say whatever they want to say… but you all need to get this, I am not going to reply to a nobody! You can try to seek for my attention any way you want to but forget about me replying to a nobody… “She went on and on.

How do you tell your employer that you're attending a job interview without lying?

we all want a better life, but also cannot afford to throw what you have away.
Company's policy states that you must give a genuine reason to be granted any sort of permission to be absent from work.

So....how do you get the company to grant you permission to be absent from work so as to attend a job interview without having to lie?

Christians in the house, please lend your voice.....thank you.

I am sorry for posting this in the wrong session.....but I actually don't know where to put it

Politics / Senate President, Speaker Risk Losing Seats Over Dual Citizenship by goodnessme02: 10:47pm On Aug 25, 2019
The Senate President , Dr Ahmad Lawan ; the Speaker of the House of Representatives , Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, and several other lawmakers risk losing their seats following a recent ruling by an Ondo State Election Petitions Tribunal , Sunday PUNCH has learnt .
The tribunal on July 31 , 2019 , sacked Mr Ikengboju Gboluga, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party representing Okitipupa /Irele Federal Constituency of Ondo State for having dual citizenship and thereafter ordered that Mr Albert Akintoye of the All Progressives Congress be issued the Certificate of Return by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The tribunal headed by Justice Nuhu Adi ruled that Gboluga was not eligible to contest the 2019 National Assembly election, having admitted in his INEC Form CF001 that he had “ voluntarily acquired the citizenship of the United Kingdom ” and had sworn allegiance to the country .
The judgment was based on Section 66 of the 1999 Constitution which states in part that, “ No person shall be qualified for election to the Senate or the House of Representatives if: (a ) subject to the provisions of section 28 of this constitution, he has voluntarily acquired the citizenship of a country other than Nigeria or, except in such cases as may be prescribed by the National Assembly , has made a declaration of allegiance to such a country .”
Investigations by Sunday PUNCH showed that of the 109 senators, four admitted in their INEC forms on oath that they had voluntarily acquired the citizenship of another country .
However , top sources told one of our correspondents that the figure could be much higher , adding that most of the lawmakers in this category either had the United States or UK citizenship, noting that the lawmakers were not born abroad but became citizens by naturalisation, that is, swearing the oath of allegiance to these countries.
They include Senate President Lawan , who represents Yobe North senatorial district ; Senators Opeyemi Bamidele of Ekiti - Central ; Teslim Folarin , representing Oyo Central ; and Ibrahim Bomai of Yobe South.

Education / OAU Moves To Generate Own Electricity by goodnessme02: 10:38pm On Jul 12, 2019
OAU MOVES TO GENERATE OWN ELECTRICITY AND BE THE FIRST FEDERAL UNIVERSITY TO OFFER AERONAUTIC ENGINEERING AS A COURSE

Thw Management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, has said it will no longer depend on the national grid but would commence the generation of its own 24-hour electricity by the end of October.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, disclosed this during the commissioning of the renovated theatre block and donation of two surgical machines – Anaethesic and Sunction by Latter-Day Saints (LDS) Charities, the humanitarian arm of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints.

He told newsmen that by the end of October, the university will commission a stand-alone electricity generating system, a development, he said, will enable 24 hours generation of electricity on campus.

“Currently, we use between five and six megawatt of electricity. But, the rural electrification agency is providing a gas-powered electricity generating plant for us which will generate 8.03 megawatt of electricity beyond what we are currently consuming.

“We will be generating our own electricity on campus and will no longer be depending on the national grid. OAU will enjoy 24-hour power supply and that is exciting. It will enhance our research output among other developments.

“We also have our dam. It is currently being renovated. We will be generating our own water and our own electricity,” he said.
Maintaining that the future of transportation is air, Ogunbodede said OAU will soon start an Aeronautic Engineering Programme.

“OAU is going to be the first federal university to have an aeronautic engineering programme. The building is under construction and will be ready in four months.

“Our entrepreneurship programme is also been upgraded to serve our students. We are no longer going to produce graduates who will be looking for employment after graduation. We are working to ensure any product of OAU will not only employ himself but also others,” he said.
