rossike, i dont have problems with somalis going anywhere. My problem is, they dont like us even though they are blacks and we help them so much. Thats ungreatfulness in its height! They claim false superiority. A superiority that is false no matter how you look at it. I want to ask how diff they are from the fulanis. They look alike to me. |

wars of that nature do not just start. It takes time for tensions to rise to that level and there must be indications on ground to show that such a war is iminent. During that time, we can easily aquire and train the personel. Trust naija with the fire brigade approach we have a track record of it. Again as for the blockade, we can strike your ship from the air. Though your ship may have anti air defence system, i doubt if it may too effective against our f-7s. The only way you can effectively strike the f-7s would be to deploy your combat planes which, even though i dont know their capabilities, i dont think are superior to the f-7. you know they cannot fly that long distance. There are two ways you can deploy your planes to nigeria. You are going to need aircraft carrier which you do not have or you will need airports of countries around nigeria. And to do that, you will need your soft power and influence in africa. Your soft power is inferior to us. We have greater influence across the continent. No country would grant you permission to use their airports as they too have intrest in a stable gulf of guinea. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: African Countries With 24/7 Power Supply by gst101: 11:15am On Sep 09, 2012 |
@rossike. You are right on your points. We have light in most part of the country. That is, most neighbourhood are connected to the grid. Whether or not we have light at all times is a diff thing altogether. My village is one of the parts of idomaland that is not connected to the grid. But about 60 percent of idomaland is connected to the grid; and the idomaland is one of the least connected to the grid. There are less than 12 states that have fewer communities connected to the grid. |

dont get too serious with the question i asked. I asked sarcastically (jokingly). The gift is not the only warship we have. We have other ones. The reason the NGR govt did not spend on buying big ship is becos its useless against militants and piracy most of whom operate in the shallow waters where a war ship cannot enter +they are expensive to maintain. The NNS thunder costs us 1million USD a month to fuel. But when it comes to a war with you, we can purchase those ships. You know we have the money to do so and as soldier yourself, you should know how important oil is to war of that nature. We have oil and you do not. |

lol. I was only pulling your legs i thought you should have discovered that by now. Anyway stop the naval blockade thing. It can never happen. Do you think all of the subs you have can effectively police our 800 km of territorial waters? And you talk like we do not have a navy. What you have said shows you dont know the geography of nigeria especially the ND. When coming into nigeria from the ocean, the ND is the first part of nigeria you would meet. This is a creek, swamp, lagoon and mangrove area. You need to know your way around to stand a chance! Even the US had it difficult in a mangrove in vietnam |

Dangote produces more cement today in nigeria and much of it is sold here. Indomie produces more in nigeria today and most of it is sold here in nigeria. Multichoice makes more money today and much of that money is made here in nigeria. The same goes for mtn, nestle, unilever and all foreign companies. Nigerian entertainment is exporting more and consequently making more millionaires as the day goes by. More cosmetics are made here andthey are also consumed here. More biscuit brands are springing up every where. I cannot even count them. Glo is making more money. I can go on and on and on. All of what i have mentioned above does not only indicate a greater output which adds to our gdp, it also indicate an increase in purchasing power on the part of the masses. If the masses are that poor, how then, are all these sales being made? But no, you are blinded by your intense hatred for the state. A hatred which, in my opinion, cannot be justified. This is becos, the cheating you see at the top can also be seen down the ladder. Somebody just said we are known as notorious scammers for crying out loud! 2 Likes |

the iyalakara by the road side is making more money today than ever before. This, i know first hand. The enterprenueral spirit is so high. More people are taking to the street to make a living for themselves today than ever before and they are making it. Creativity has never this high! Today, even uni graduates are selling akara by the road side and i am talking about men not ladies! More nigerians can travel by air even though the fairs are so high. Apart from by road, air is by far the biggest means of transportation in nigeria and the traffic increases as the year goes by. This shows an increase in purchasing power of the average nigerian. 1 Like |

more people are beign lifted out of poverty. More people are owning decent houses. Yes, these people owning decent houses are not all elite! In the estate where i live, its only the ordinary people you will find. Its not as if its simple, but people are doing it. No one wants to pay 250k-300k for just 3bedroom flat anymore. A rent which will expire just within 12months. We dont finish our houses befor packing into it and i a few years, you have a decent structure no one would believe wasnt complete when you packed in. People are owning decent cars today. More people are having satelite tvs to day. A walk down the street even in the suburb will help you confirm. Smart phones are as common as stone today. More people can power their genrators for more hours today than ever before 3 Likes |

but seriously all these other people naminated along side nigerians are not as famous and popular as the nigerians they are competing with. The only SA artistes i have ever known are luky dube, brenda and chaka chaka and may be mariam makeba if she is SAn. SA entertainment is absolutely non existent here in naija and dont think it exists in much of africa i stand to be corrected. Other africans have to start getting more serious to avoid a nigerianization of the continent becos naija is taking every where. Every where you go, you see a flavour naija. Is it a good or bad thing? I guess it is a thread for some other time. |
Music/Radio / Re: 17 Nominations For Nigeria In ChannelO MVA 2012 by gst101: 2:44pm On Sep 02, 2012 |
up IDOMA all round. 2015 is ours! And we will take channel o. no one is stoping us or can compete with us. All ogbemi, egbo and abakpa will go into extinction and we will rule and govern naija forever! We, together with our north-central brodas, are the real belt that holds the trouser on naija's waist. Remove us and naija is disgraced! Dont mind me oooo. I was just joking. We need to put the tribal thing aside and move on. To all foreigners who come in here to feel us; dont think that we are this divided after going through this forum. It is not a reflection of reality. And pls dont tell me its a confirmation of what you hear in the media. I live in this country i can tell you better than any foreign media can. Afterall what good thing have you ever heard from those media? I am not being patriotic. When we go to the market to buy anything, we dont care who is selling to us. We dont care whom we buy from as far as the price is reasonable, we just buy. We live side by side. And sometimes share the same building for worship, the diff religions! Its only a matter of leting one finish and you go in. |
