Politics / State Of Emergency In Lagos? by Hardeihorllah(m): 5:07pm On Jan 16, 2012
It was shocking to most Lagosians to wake up this morning and found that the Gani Fawehinmi Garden, Ojota, that protesters had been occupying since the commencement of the nationwide strike, had been taken over by the men of the military and other para-military personnels. Apart from Ojota, places such as Falomo, and other places that served as converging points for protesters lask week were also occupied by these soldiers. The reason given by the federal goverment for this was to protect the citizens and my own question is: protection from who or what? Why can't the FG protect people from bokoharam that are claiming lives of innocent Nigerians and christians in the north everyday? Why will the FG bombard every part of Lagos with zombies? Has state of emergency be declared in lagos?

My personal belief is that we have all been played by both organised labour and FG. They have played on our intelligence. We can no longer rely on these people to fight our cause. It is high time we youth of this nation rise up to the challenges, take our destiny in our hands and fight for our right, otherwise we will continue to wallow in this mess with no help hope of breaking loose!

Religion / Are women afterthought of God according to the bible? by Hardeihorllah(m): 1:34pm On Jan 13, 2012
The act of of creation is expressly outlined in the Holy Bible book of Genesis (see the first chapter and verse 1-17 of the second verse). In the eighteenth verse of chapter two, the Bible says; " And the LORD God said 'it is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a help meet for him'".( see also Gen2:20b).

From the verses above (Gen2:18,20), can it be inferred that woman (Eve) was not in the original plan/idea of God? Can it be said that woman came into existence as a necessity, because "it is not good for the man to be alone", to keep the man company?
Politics / Are The Ndigbos Cowards, Why Is It That We Are Not Hearing Their Voices In This Protest? by Hardeihorllah(m): 9:27pm On Jan 11, 2012
I'm not trying to be mischievious or sarcastic, but I'm genuinely curious: Why is it that we are not hearing much from the Ndigbos states? Are they afraid or are they just unconcerned about the whole issue? Will this not be a very good chance for them to express themselves over everything that has been happening to them all this while? Like I said earlier, I'm just curious and I want to know.

Politics / The Ojota Fuel Anti Subsidy Removal Protest: A Political Jamboree! by Hardeihorllah(m): 11:06am On Jan 11, 2012
I have made up my mind not to participate in this 'protest' of fuel anti subsidy removal again, especially the one hapening in the Gani Fawehinmi garden at Ojota. It bleedens my heart that the protest which could have been effectively used to drive home our point to the government has now been hijacked by some unscruptulous politicians to have thier own pound of flesh of the GEJ administration. What should people had expected from a failure such as "pastor" Tunde Bakare and his cohort?

An opened mind observation of yesterday protest would clearly show that the gathering is nothing but an avenue for some angry politician to 'payback' and enrich themselves. Come to think of it, who is sponsoring the protest? Why is the protest air live on television( lagos and abuja)? What are all these musicians doing there? Are (the musicians) they not the same set of people who vigorously campaigned for the president during the electioneering process? My opinion is that the most massive protest in Nigeria at Ojota, has lost its focus and people have started seeing it as such.

Ask most from the protesters the reason behind their protest and you will be shocked that most of them don't even know why! Did anybody participate in the protest yesterday, did you see the way people were smoking weed and threatening other protesters? Is this the way other nations that had sucessfully driven home thier point did it? Did you see the way the organisers are monopolising addressing the crowd? National Association of Nigeria students were not even given the opportunity to air their anger and yet people like Paso, Atorise, Olu mentain, and so on were given ample time to address thier fans, people who could not even adress the crowd in pidgin english. Who is deceiving who. If we want to protest lets all do that as Nigerians and be sincere as possible. It is a shame that some of our innocent compatriots had fallen already and yet we still think this is a joke. Nigerians are just different people, they always make joke of any situation and now they have made this protest nothing but a very, very huge JOKE!

Well, I wouldn't discourage anybody who will like to still carry on with the protest, atleast you will have oppourtunity to walk which is a form of exercise and also if you love dancing, you will have some wonderful oppourtunity to do that to the Abami Eda rhythm. Now, isn't that something worth doing?
Politics / Re: New York Times Opinion: Another Jaundiced View About Nigeria. by Hardeihorllah(m): 5:25pm On Jan 10, 2012
@ OP

Why I perfectly understand your anger but you still have to remember that these 'ignoramuses' do not stay this country with us, they only based thier write-up on the 'facts' that are presented to them by our most excellence corrupt leaders. It is these leaders that we have to channel our anger toward, not the far onlookers who had only echoed the silence voices of the propaganda spread abroad by our own flesh and blood!

Politics / Does Tunde Bakare Still Pastor A Church? by Hardeihorllah(m): 2:01pm On Jan 10, 2012
I'm just suprised at everything this so called man of God has being saying at the protest and I wondered; is Tunde bakare still a pastor?
Religion / Re: Was Mary Really A Virgin? by Hardeihorllah(m): 6:57pm On Jan 08, 2012
@logic mind,
When I saw that name, logic mind and the topic, I thought I was going to read something that is highly logical. I was disappointed when I finally read the tread.

Next time you want to write something as significant as this, why not just take your time to be able to write something that will be a little bit logical and sensible with opened mind, than this. We that believe that Mary was a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus, believed because the Bible says so, even the Koran also confirmed it, an alfa with unbiassed mind in the house can confirm it. Not everyone is a LovePeddler even in our world of today, we still have people that value purity over the decadence that have eaten deeply into the fabric of our existence!!!
Religion / Re: Everyone Is A Believer! by Hardeihorllah(m): 6:23pm On Jan 08, 2012
@martian,
Thank you for that wonderful analysis, it's quite educative but I still mentain my ground.

Like you pointed out in your comment that one who worships God can not prove that God actually exists, so let me also ask you: can you prove that God does not exist? One thing that atheists like you and others have come to forget is that the fact that something can not be seen does not realy prove that thing does not exist! Black hole is one of the discoveries in astronomy. Black holes cannot be seen but thier effects can be felt on other astronomical bodies that are nearby, so also God cannot be seen by humans but His effects can be felt in the cosmos.

Look all around you and you too will not be able to help but echoe the voice of the psalmist who sang:"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth His handiwork." psm 19:1
Religion / Re: Everyone Is A Believer! by Hardeihorllah(m): 3:26pm On Jan 08, 2012
" An atheist does not believe in anythin", this is your own word and it its can be interpreted as follow:" an atheist belives in nothing". Prove me wrong if the implication( the second statement) is not correct. There is no how we can take BELIEVE out of this statement.

This simply means atheists do BELIEVE, only that they BELIEVE in "NOTHING", according to your own word!
Religion / Everyone Is A Believer! by Hardeihorllah(m): 2:23pm On Jan 08, 2012
It is very wrong for anybody to say he/she/someone is not a believer because everybody BELIEVEs in someone or something or nothing. But some may ask: what about the atheists? And I will request such a person to tell me who an atheist is. Consider the following:

A christian is someone that BELIVEs Jesus Christ died for his/her sins on the cross of calvary.

A muslim is someone who BELIEVEs in Allah and his holy prophet Muhammad(saw).

A pagan is someone who BELIEVEs in legion of gods and godess( polytheistic believe).

A free thinker is someone who BELIEVEs in no particular gods or godess.

An atheist is someone who BELIEVEs in no god at all.

The point of emphasis here is BELIEVE, Every one BELIEVES!

Religion / Just Curious! by Hardeihorllah(m): 5:30pm On Jan 06, 2012
I have heard so many things about the beginning of things and the cosmos itself. I'd listened to so many aguments; religious, philosophic and scientific, but my curiosity still persists. What was there before the BEGINNING? Who/what is God? Does it/he has a beggining? From what materials was the  universe formed? Does the universe realy had a beginning, , ? So many questions.

I will be more than happy if the good and learned people of this forum will use thier wealth of knowledge and information put some light to this issue for me

Mr. Globe:

You are part of the problem. You are sitting at home watching tv and listening to radio (u definitely can't do that in the field) and you expect others to make the news for you. It's pieces of hypocritical sh it like you that has kept the country like this. Talk 100, do nothing
.

I really apreciate your candid commend but what I however, dislike is the way you go about it. Must you be insultive to the extent of calling a compatriot "hypocrital shit"? I think that is highly immatured of you and it is definitely unwaranted. Thanks anyway!
Politics / Are Nigerians Cowards? by Hardeihorllah(m): 11:32am On Jan 05, 2012
The above question begs for an immediate answer or answers! The late afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo Kuti once sang "suffering and smiling". Why is it that anytime an issue that concerns the generality of the populace is raised in this country we only make noise for sometime and there after everything comes down as if nothing has happened? Can we really sucessfully fight for our rights in this country?

Some schools of thoughts are of the opinion that Nigerians are toothless bull dog, that we can only bark but ca not bite. Is this realy true? Since on the 1st that the removal of the pms subsidy has been removed, I've been practically inseparable from my radio set and tv, keeping up with the developments as they arise. I have listened to hundreds of people, most of who are very angry and aired thier uncensored views with no impunity, but is that all that is to it? Should we just sit at the comfort of our rooms and believe that some people will fight for us? Is that the way the Egyptians, Tunisians, Libyans, and so on handled thiers and have results. It is a common saying in Nigeria that life is not good and yet nobody wants to die, shd we carry on with this kind of mentality and expect to get any tangible result at the end of the day? Isn't a high time that we stood for our right in this country?

It was once my opinion that Nigerians are not cowards but peace loving and sensible people that always have faith that things will get better., but right now I'm beginning to reconsider that opinion, I'm beginning to see ourselves as gullible people that can be manipulated by anybody and get away with it. If our government wants us to make sacrifices, why are they not prepare to make these sacrifices themselves? When millions of Nigerians are going to bed empty stomachs most nights our president and his vice will spend a whooping some of N1 billion naira to eat in 2012 alone! Spending N50000 every day, that sum will last about 55years to be exhausted! The senate president will receive about N600million as salary and allowances this year and yet the government can not implement a minimum wage of N18000 per month for the people that are realy doing the work. Who is fooling who in this nation? For some of us, the only thing that government does that directly affect us is this fuel subsidy and yet this people still want to go ahead and take it away from us and Nigerians do not see anything wrong about that! How long are we going to play this hide and seek game with the government? When is our own revolution going to take place? Is it after everything has finally collapsed, fall apart and we are left with nothing worthy of fighting for? If the time is not now then, I doubt if that time will ever come. A friend of mine, Michael once posted the question to me: are we cowards in this country? and I tried as much as possible to defend Nigerians then, but right now, I'm not sure of that anymore and that is a shame!
Religion / Do People Worship God Because They Realy Love Him? by Hardeihorllah(m): 12:55am On Jan 05, 2012
Brother Bethel is the most quiet and contented person I know. While preaching to me one day he looked at me straight in the eyes and asked: " Brother Deola, what do you think will happen to most true worshipers if there is no hope of resurrection? Do you think I'll be denying myself of so many worldy pleasure like I'm doing now?" I was still considering the kind of answer to give before Brother Bethel answered his question by himself. The answer he gave me that has since then made me consider so many things and the most important one of them is expressed in the question I posted above. Brother Bethel anwer was: "my brother, I'll not. The reason for all these self denial I'm having right now is because I have hope of resurrection, otherwise I'll enjoy my life to the fullest, like every other people"

Then I wondered: will people ordinarily worship God because they love Him or because of what they stand to gain from Him? If it's confirmed today that once we're dead that's the final, that they will be no reward for doing right or punishment for wrong doing, how many people will you find in church the following Sunday? What does this tell us about the human nature? All these just make kind of think about the relationship between God and man, will man ordinarily love God because of His love or awesomeness?

Politics / Re: Will Nigerians Take To The Street If Fuel Subsidy Is Removed? Revolution? by Hardeihorllah(m): 6:07pm On Nov 23, 2011
Nigerians are not cowards, we are simply waiting for a very strong reason to take to the street. Believe me revolution is looming in this country although hiking the fuel price may not cause it.
