Travel / Re: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by heckler(m): 9:46am On May 19, 2017
Good morning VO,

I submitted my passport to renew my US visa last week Friday at the DHL dropbox center. I was hoping I will be able to pick up my passport this Friday as I intend to travel on Sunday. However, anytime I try to track my passport, what I keep getting is "Your passport is being delivered to post".

I read somewhere that this means that my passport has not gotten to the consulate yet. Please advice on what could have gone wrong.

Thanks

Of course, i agree totally. the number one thing is client satisfaction.

"He who pays the piper dictates the tune"
But you have to agree with me most customers have little knowledge of IT have always have problem articulating there needs clearly.
I have seen web project trashed by the owner after 1yr mostly because the requirements were not fully defined.
From that viewpoint, I believe customer satisfaction can only be measured after prolonged use of product.

hey, this is fun. I can do this all day

Now that is someone I'd like to have some discussion with.
I am actually certified java programmer myself. (SCJP SCBCD). I mostly work on Enterprise Web Apps, I use RoR to do light lifting (i.e Simple CRUD webapps).
I noticed most people on this board are PHP oriented. **yuck** PHP is easy to hack and it doesn't scale, plus its not full OOP.
but that's my opinion, i just might be wrong

Peeps,
I am a recent convert to Ruby on Rails and since I converted, my life has been much, much easier.
Less lines of code, totally OOP language, easy to debug, dramatically increased turn around time on projects.

Is there anybody around this parts that has found such joy, or am I alone??
Webmasters / Re: Help Us Build the Best Nigerian Website Directory by heckler(m): 2:05pm On Apr 13, 2008
I just signed up to the forum today. I have been a passive reader for a while, but I think I should be a part of this.
I wonder why nobody has ever mentioned Ruby On Rails on this board. Its surprising considering the raves RoR is getting within web developers. Well I just switched to RoR and i am having a swell time. This are two sites are developed with RoR (that is hosted);

http://www.lukeshphotoworld.com --- The personal website of a professional photographer
http://www.sixthgearbox.com --------- A car sales portal [beta]

n.b; "SixthGearbox.com" is undergoing beta testing so, there isn't much content there. Proper lunch of the site is still 2 months away.
let me know what yo think.

some other sites;

http://www.theglobaltraining.com - an information website for a Canadian training company
http://www.andyemegbo.com
