Politics / Re: 'Unless Wike Apologises, Let Everyone Stay In Their Lanes' - Senator Kingibe by Horlah04(m): 9:45pm On Jul 30
Both of you are really not serious about the lives and properties of the Abuja residents. Your personal issues are affecting the Abuja residents. There's this particular group of boys numbering about 30-40 robbing the Karmo, Idu, Dape, Paipe and environs close to the Life Camp, Gwarimpa area of FCT, Abuja. They operate as from 02:00 am and anyone who's unable to give them their desired amount of cash or gadgets will face brutal beating and severe cuts. Several people has died due to this. This has been happening for over 3 months now. Several case's have been reported to the nearest police stations but nothing has been done to stop the continuous robbery. I've even personally tried to call the FCT PRO number pinned on Mr Prince Moye (The Police Force PRO) twitter pinned post for over a month now but it has always been busy. I equally tried posting on his wall as well as mentioning him but to no avail. It's terrifying seriously.

I'm not in any way fighting on behalf of any politician. I've never and will never do. Private companies increasing minimum wage will affect the price of goods. We all know this and that's why I wrote ONLY IF THERE'S GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION on caps. Abeg ooh I no deh do political fight. I was only stating...

Kobojunkie:
Rubbish assertions! Inflation steadily rose in the same Nigeria over the period between 2019 and 2023 even with the minimum wage remaining stable over that entire period. Inflation has since ballooned from late 2023 to the second quarter of 2024. Na Minimum wage cause am? I'm sorry to tell you that you can't get help from anyone but yourself or a fellow who has also been through the stage. People without it will never understand what you're going through because you're going through a perception of life totally different from what they're going through. Let me know if you're better now.

Agriculture / Re: Minimum Wage 'wahala' Would You Blame This Farmer? (pix) by Horlah04(m): 4:59pm On Jun 08
Your insinuation is basically why he said he's going to sell at that price. The new minimum wage he stated will indirectly affect price of feed materials from farmers, from suppliers who will have to sell higher to raise their staffs salary. Hatcheries will likewise do the same. He may also have staffs that he's thinking about raising their pay. To be honest, it's actually going to affect the price of most agro commodities ONLY IF THERE'S GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION. I own a farm also and I feel his pain.

MrProlific95:
Blackmail, evil Federal Government, thus tactis will not work.

This is propaganda from FG,

the Egg farmer has forgotten that feed sellers too will alsi show him atarodo peper with feed prices, then the maize farmers, wheat farmers, the groundnut farmers too will too their prices

Politics / Re: Federal Executive Council Approves Badagry Port. by Horlah04(m): 11:29pm On Aug 06, 2022
Buhari gave the go ahead for ports to be built in Warri, Bonny and somewhere in Akwa Ibom more than 2 years ago, Lagos State Government was able to get investors for Lekki Deep Seaport.

Finding investors and security at sea is one of the major problems other counterparts have in terms of building/resurrecting ports in the above mentioned places. This isn't marginalization from the FG like you clearly stated but state goverments fault.

blue01:

So out of all the paper works done how many ports have been reformed in the aforementioned states?
Politics / Re: Federal Executive Council Approves Badagry Port. by Horlah04(m): 8:25am On Aug 05, 2022
This is entirely false. Please try to read on the reform concerning sea port in Nigeria. Please stop misleading people.

blue01:

They know exactly what they are doing, we have great sites in akwa-ibom,rivers, bayelsa and Anambra, Delta that can be used for world class ports in Nigeria but they want all of ss/se to remain dependant on Lagos for its port related business, 90% of cargos in the ports belong to people from the aforementioned regions too.
Politics / Re: Federal Executive Council Approves Badagry Port. by Horlah04(m): 8:22am On Aug 05, 2022
Please always try to read completely and understand. It's clear that Buhari gave the go ahead for ports to be built in Warri, Bonny and somewhere in Akwa Ibom more than 2 years ago, Lagos State Government was able to get an investors Lekki Deep Seaport.

Finding investors and security at sea is one of the major problems other counterparts have in terms of building/resurrecting ports in the above mentioned places. This isn't marginalization from the FG like you clearly stated but state governor's fault.

Omodua:
Good news. But development of the country should be evenly spread.

Lagos state has Apapa Port and Tincan Island Ports. Major patrons of these Ports are people of South East extraction. They are the major importers.

Sadly, no single Port in the southeast stretch. They freight their goods from Lagos Ports and onward bound southeast. This is not fair.

Yet,another Port is to be added to existing Ports at Badagry, less than 60 kilometers from Lagos. Where is the fairness and justice.

This skewed development is what's giving rise to separatist agitations in the country. FG could do better by spreading development to all regions of the country Not only Lagos.

Restructuring of the country is key to development and national cohesion.

Eastern leaders should wake up to these injustices!

Business / Re: 6 Anambra Billionaires Who Started From Onitsha And Built National Brands by Horlah04(m): 11:23am On Jul 18, 2022
On no account has the FG directed importers and exporters to transact business through Lagos alone. The Ministry / NPA doesn't have the responsibility of determining where an importer or exporter will transact his/her business. The problem we have with people not using the seaports in Port Harcourt, warri or Calabar is mainly insecurity. Moreover, they cede easily.

ALSO,

On no account has the FG directed INNOSSON Motors to relocate to Lagos. Rather, INNOSSON enjoys huge patronage and support from the Buhari-led administration. They are been patronized by government agencies such as the Nigerian Military, Police, Federal Road Safety Commission, Fire Service and Immigration.

Please stop spreading fake news.

freshvine:

Government policy.
Allowing Nigerians to import only through lagos where the fulanis keep eagle eye with their custom uniforms while concession other ports in the eastern flanks to Dangote, Bua for their private businesses.

You wonder why they're stifling INNOSSON motors because he refuse to move.

I'm for PO but what you wrote up here caught my attention. South West never killed zoning of the presidency. APC as you would want to fault brought zoning to the South and of course who would you have wanted them to sell their ticket to? APC wants to retain power and it's obvious a candidate from the East can't guarantee that. APC east voting % is weak compared to their opposition. PDP should be the party you're to blame for not keeping to zoning promises.

The north and SW killed zoning of the presidency when it came to be the turn of the Igbo.

Education / Re: ASUU President, Emmanuel Osodeke, Rejects N50m Raised By Berekete Family by Horlah04(m): 8:05pm On Jun 11, 2022
This news is TOTALLY FAKE. I listened to the program(berekete family) this morning and ASUU never rejected the money contributed. As a matter of fact, the ASUU president was more concerned about this sort of news after the current governor of Akwa Ibom donated #50m cash. All ASUU was saying was that they are not associated to any money contributed at the moment so fake news broadcasters won't bring up fake news like we've seen here. Nigeria and fake news sha ďż˝

ASUU Chairman has rejected the money contributed by Berekete Family of Human Rights Radio. Consequently, a direction has been given for the account to be closed and the total money to be refunded to those who donated.

The crowd-funding was initiated by Ahmed Isah, CEO of Human Rights Radio Abuja, to support ASUU in convincing lecturers to suspend the strike.

Wow..God bless you for giving her the confidence she deserves. Stretch marks aren't subjected to the use of creams alone.

PrimadonnaO:
People talking about creams.

Stretch marks aren't only a function of creams used on the skin.

Kid sis started having stretch marks on her breasts and thighs from when she was 12, thereabout.

A child that was exclusively using pears baby oil and joy soap.

Stretch marks are hereditary from observation...

Sometimes, too, they're a function of growth spurts... or fluctuating weight.

Then there's also the cosmetic effect.

People should learn to read and move on when they don't have anything reasonable or knowledgeable to say.

Men also have stretchmarks.

On the bum, behind the knees, around the armpit.

Even really slim people.

Hello Nairalanders .. Good PM.

Well let me start by saying nairaland has been a blessing to me in a way I never thought, I acquired some knowledge here that I wasn't even taught in Higher Institution and today I earn from it no matter how little.

My concern now is we now have some irrelevant topics on this forum that adds zero Knowledge to us for instance;

1: The Tribal war: I don't understand how some of we youths(Leaders of today according to the Ordinary President) will come on any topic that states a particular tribe for something and begin to bash other tribe, I mean do you think we can survive without each other, even North Korea that claim to stand alone still depend on some Asian countries.
The east, south and west depends on the north for Agricultural produce, the east, south and north depends on the west for market size, the north and south depends on the east and west for arable lands, the north, east, west depends on the south for our major tapped mineral resource (crude).
I'm from the western part of the country but believe me I have been with other tribes that treats me well even than my fellow tribes men and likewise other tribes that are been treated well by people from the other region.
The little biz I'm into now was put so clear to me by an easterner .. I reciprocated tho.
Some people will just watch you suffer irrespective of tribe... Loyalty, love and respect has nothing to do with tribe.

2: The issue with our ladies: One of the sections I love is the Romance section, I read some topics and laugh out my sorrows grin. But there is this thing with our guys posting ladies are these and that. Let's ask our selves deeply. Were we 100% faithful, what was our impact on our partner (positive), were we greedy even to our selves at some point, how were we different from a random guy in the hood(intelligence), do we still make her feel loved and beautiful with words just like we did when we saw and woo them. These things matters, my heart has been chattered so many times but believe me they only made me a better person. Look outside your relationship I mean view your partner outside love, you will see what she expected and not getting or tired of waiting to get (aside money). You can be rich and your girl will still cheat on you.
I'm not saying our ladies are right for their attitudes but we need to stop crying everytime and face the truth some of this breakups we had are sometimes our fault. There's no way you will explain what happened to your friends and will want to blame yourself for the breakup. You will always blame her even for your own silly mistakes.

We go dey form Alpha boys for nairaland but there was a post asking if we males can date big girls and some of we guys who agreed are those whole claim to be Alpha and Red Pill guys. We want fine babes, good shape with beauty, already made ladies but we want make our gf's dey wait till e go better for us.

God no go shame us.

PS: Don't mind my GNS wink grin grin

Abuse me na ur warrant be that ooh. tongue wink

Nairaland / General / You/someone You Know Might Be Suffering From Depersonalization Not Depression. by Horlah04(m): 8:19pm On Jan 14, 2020
Like a number of mental health issues, depersonalization is a symptom that’s often shrouded in mystery. It is a symptom marked by feeling as if you are observing yourself from outside of your body, or feeling like things around you aren’t real.

While it’s not a term we hear all the time, it is a symptom that affects people who experience conditions ranging from depression to bipolar disorder to schizoid personality disorder — and is more common than we might realize.

Because there is so little information out there about depersonalization, it can be easy for people to fear what they do not know or understand. It’s important to remember people who experience this symptom are in need of understanding and support just like anyone else going through a health-related struggle.

It’s isolating too, because even if someone else does notice when you’re going through this, there’s no way in hell they could ever truly understand or relate because they haven’t ever been through this themselves.

Here are shared experiences of what depersonalization feels like.

1. “You feel out of your body, like your body isn’t your own body, you just feel numb, you feel like an observer… like you’re just watching a movie or a TV show about your life that you don’t have any control over. You look in the mirror and see yourself and you just can’t believe it’s you staring back."

2. "You move, but you don’t think you wanted to. Your body carries you through it’s normal motions, while you try to figure out how to come back and take control.” It’s like no longer being connected to your own body. Your mind is so overwhelmed that it just detaches from reality completely."

3. "You question whether or not you’re real. Everything about you is unfamiliar. You look at your hands and wonder whose they are. It’s almost like watching a complete stranger go about their business.”

The good part is that it heals.

Crime / Re: Corper Princess Motunrayo Bolufemi Commits Suicide In Kogi (Suicide Note) by Horlah04(m): 7:11pm On Jan 14, 2020
Sometimes, some problems are hard to explain most especially if the person you are explaining your problems to haven't been through it themselves.

Most suicides aren't as a result of depression... there are issues worse than that.

There are other mental issues people suffer from aside *depression*, getting out of these problems only takes God intervention not your power or might.

Which of these parts don't you Nairalanders understand Border Closure due to illegal smuggling of goods into the country and Ban on importation of Rice and Poultry products into the country. ?

For crying out loud he didn't close border on any body from entering the country...He simply said travel down to Nigeria the proper way / import goods into Nigeria the proper way (Aside rice and Poultry products).

Besides, this Ghana ban has been on before Buhari came in power. Please don't mislead people.

lonelydora:

Secondly, your Buhari closed borders to these guys for whatever reason best known to him preventing them from trading in your country.

You see, sometimes "an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth" make the world saner and peaceful.

I pity you traders in other countries. Nigeria has failed you people.
