Fine, but between SR and this government, who lies the most?

olaayodele: The theives nickname the metallic converter buscuit

It's also called Indomie or Chin-Chin. I bought a Honda Car from Cotonou in 2011, from the first day i drove the car, i noticed that the fuel consumption was very high, and that the sound of the car is somehow noisy. My mechanic would always assure me that the 'Chin-Chin' is intact, cos the pot didn't carry any welding mark on it. It was January this year, when i didn't know what he was looking for, when he noticed that the stuff was cleanly removed, and was replaced with well packed net-like material and wire gauze, without breaking any part of the exhaust. I've since replaced it at the cost of 15k.

nuhu: We the people of Nigeria have found ourselves in a complete messed up system where the situation is getting worse and worse day in day out as a result of bad leadership over the years by the PDP right from the military to the civilian rule. Enough is enough I use this opportunity to call on all affected good samaritans of this country to join hand in ensuring that come 2015 we vote wisely for the man of the people tested and trusted Owelle Rochas Okorocha under the flagship of APC. We need a change, yes we can! So help us God.

What has he changed in Imo in this 2 years, that had made him the change we need at the Federal level?

The poster didnt ask for bread. He only said that he didnt eat chin chin which could be true. Some people dont like sweet things.

She offered to go and get him bread. I dont like the way that the poster left the house to go and settle him/herself later though.

If indeed he was aware that there was a financial issue in that family, then he should have provided something for the family even if it were a loaf of bread and a tin of sardines rather than selfishly sort him/herself out. That is wrong and I dont subscribe to that and it makes him seen as a fairweather friend.

Madam CC, thanks for coming to my defence. I never asked for bread, and like i said earlier on, i had gone out to eat even before me she came with the offer. I never begrudged her, because i knew she wasn't owing me, even when the hubby came in the night, and asked me what i ate today, being a childhood friend, i told him i don't do breakfast, and that i ate on my way from the interview. This happened years ago, and each time i want to have a good laugh, i just remember the incident.

Please original OP, i never intended to hijack your post. But be that as it may, it's very unfortunate how some people have reasoned here. Like i said in one of my earlier posts, i had gone out to eat before she came offering me the stuff. Just because i was a guest wouldn't make me take whatever i was offered.

That woman want make you fail the interview.Which kain wicked combo be dat one? cheesy
Some women are mean. Agege bread N70,milo and milk sachets N100 and breakfast is done.

An invited guest deserve to be well taken care of.Basic food at least. If its not convenient or the family is passing through financial crises then come clean with the guest before his or her arrival - that is what friends are for.

Seriously, wicked combo no be small. She said that she had enough in the fridge, that was why she asked.
Family / Re: Can You Entertain A Guest With Its Food? by HotPotato(m): 5:55pm On Oct 09, 2013
@ Yield and Ujujoan, i wasn't expecting anything, because even before that 10am, i had already gone out to a nearby restaurant to arrange my affairs, and i equally went back to that restaurant on my way from the interview. I still think that food is not so much a big deal to give to someone.

My thoughts were that the woman wanted me to feel so uncomfortable that i shouldn't even contemplate coming to stay in their house till i'm able to rent my own apartment, if i eventually i got the job.
Family / Re: Can You Entertain A Guest With Its Food? by HotPotato(m): 9:06am On Oct 09, 2013
I once went for an interview in Lagos then, and had to stay in my friend's house for 2 nights. The morning of the interview, he left for work very early as usual, only for the wife to come around 10am to ask me if i would take tea with Chin-Chin as breakfast, because she had enough in the fridge. I told her that i don't eat Chin-Chin, and she said ok, that she's going to buy bread for me. I ended up not seeing either the woman or the bread again until i went to tell her by 2pm that i was leaving for the job interview.

Pls read my post very well.
U wrote dat d customer shld contact his reference, which is wrong.
Some acct officers do help to speed up d process by going to d reference banks by diaselves.
Why wld an acct officer open a dom acct witout exercising due diligence? He doesn't even knw d customer.
An acct ran on zero balance and d BOM says dat cheque can't be paid in? Knowledge gap.

Knowledge gap is the major issue we have in that bank, as our people mostly the Operations staff have refused to learn new things, even as it relates to their desks. If not knowledge gap, what would make a Customer Relationship Officer tell a customer that they are no longer opening accounts because auditors' are in their Business Office? It's Knowledge gap that will make you attend to an issue you don't know much about, instead of referring such enquiries to the appropriate unit, or even a superior officer. It's knowledge gap that will make a BOM tell a customer that an account can't be opened because of incomplete references, whatever happened to PND/freeze status? That said, i'm happy this issue had been resolved, though wasn't so proper it was done through this forum.

Family / Not Picking Calls From Unknown Numbers by HotPotato(m): 8:59am On Aug 31, 2013
You'd all agree with me that the introduction of GSM in Nigeria, brought a huge relief to us as regards communication. These days, you find a lot of people telling you that they don't pick calls from numbers they don't know or saved on their phones. I'm now asking, how many of us here do this and your reasons for such?

And i hope that one day, you won't have cause to remind him that those kids he's playing with, are actually not his.

Family / How Do I Stop My Daughter From Stammering. by HotPotato(m): 1:56pm On Jun 28, 2013
Hi folks,

I came home from a 10 day trip 2 days ago, only to observe that my 3 year old daughter is seriously trying to stammer. She drags on every word she wants to utter. I'm not comfortable with this, as nobody in the house stutters. Is there anything we could do to nip this in the bud at this early stage, thank you.

To the mothers in the house, does your husband assist with attending to the baby at night, especially at those ungodly hours, or does he sleep off / goes off to the parlour clucthing his pillow?

Thanks.
