I have realised no one can understand your plight when it comes to weight loss except they jump into the same wagon with you unfortunately many people wont. Sorry to say this but especially married folks. Soon they would start whining and cursing single for staying fit and attractive for their sweethearts. I dont preach infidelity but my father do tell me that its not the issue of voodoo a good and tasty soup will taste good. There is a mother of 3 pregnant with the fourth in my office now, the backside is so large i always wonder why she is dat careless to allow it to grow so big just like paloma's in BB4. Now she eats like worm, its all she does, its what she spends her monthly income on, despite all advices from me, she tells me its image problem ave got and even with a diabetic mum she is not bothered. I eventually stopped talking and looked on, ma here we go dey na. To finish the drama, i was told her babies are always no bigger than 150cl eva bottle at birth, meaning she is actually eating for herself not the babies. Just as i said weight loss program had tot me more than calorie counting and workouts, it tot me to be focused despite ALL.

But why the stare anyways? It makes me more focused though. In my own village their stare is outta surprise how a lady will be doing this! On the other hand the guys i meet in the morning tend to encourage me and spur me on by doubling me up most times, lol. 123, you no dey naija abi?

Thanks 123. Food: 7:30am - 2 bananas + 1 scoop of protein shake + 1/2 cup juice, 12pm - 2.5 cups rice, 1 wrap moimoi + 1 meat, 3pm - 1 handful of peanuts, dinner - rice and plantain + spinach.

I use mins too, and i also use google earth/maps to measure too. I realized when walking i do 1km in 10 mins, running in 8 mins/1km. @123 is it possible to do 5k for 23 mins while on land with impact and dodging vehicles etc

3pm - 1 large mango, 6pm - 1/2 wrap of moimoi + 2 tablespoons of garri and 1 banana, dinner - 1.5 cups rice, 4 dodo and 1 ponmon. I think the eba i took this morning is making me unnecessarily heavy, i tire o. @ babs, ndo it is well, we shall surely overcome o. Anyways am just surprised cos if all you added in 6 months if i get you right is 5kg then 3kg is wow! Is it that you now over indulge yourself or what. All your logs feels ok to me sha, another thing that could be happening is ur body try to adjust to the workouts and the healthy choices here and there. Dont be discouraged just give it sometimes. You should know better than myself sha. Take care. 123 how you dey? I should start running again, election is done now, though there are still post election violence here and there around me, but man must survive.

Food: fist size garri and vegetable soup + 1 fish, noon: 75cl zobo drink so far so good.

Hi all, no exercise yesterday, no activity and it made me very heavy and slow. Food yesterday was, morning: 2 cups beans, 6 dodo, 1 egg, 1 local cheese, snacks: 4 bananas, evening: 2 small dehydrated yams and egg sauce, less than a fist size garri and vegetable + 1 fish. This morning exercise, 5 mins warm up, 20 mins strength training using dumbbells, worked on my abs, lower body and upper body. 2 mins jumping jacks and 3 mins stretch. @ modath pls am really sorry for not getting back to you, my internet has been unstable, anyways you will simply download vuze online, its a kinda navigator. When you search for anything you need, it will bring out the downloadable options, also the size and the number of hours or days you will need to get it done. But get the application done first.

@ GenB, i can boldly say that 123 is ur cross to bear and trust me you've been doing so nice until now sha. You seem to have a high level of tolerance than any of us here. We do say something in my place, dont consider the noise in the market but ur customer. 123 is a bug in the system, you need him all the time, have you noticed no yabbing gets to the guy? phew!!!

Hi all, came in like an hour ago since morning for elections. Going to vote for the first time this season and i was almost mobbed along with my friend in a village. Is it wrong to do things right in this country? Well i have satisfied my conscience, i can sleep peacefully, my candidate lost in my booth though. Anyways its been a hectic day and of i woke up too early to prepare our meals so no exercise today. @ modath, its a little illegal secret i have with my downloads o, its called VUZE, search it first in google, I ll send you a mail to this effect later. @123 pls leave that man alone. Nonny, welcome after a long while, did you subscribe for JM shred? How has it been? The only bad choice is a bottle of fanta in the village, i actually needed a rush of sugar in my blood. Wow! So much to bear at this age, its rather fascinating to know you've been strong through it all, i love ur fighting spirit, and i bet its a reason you are not an invalid today. I also get ur point about working out despite all, its the obsession! i trust and its good. I realised something about those who are obsessed about exercising and all sorts, they seemed to be able choose what they want, work on their weaknesses and always keep a goal in mind around and about everything in their lives. They are also not easily discouraged even when its evident its lost, dont get me wrong there. All am just trying to say is this, i know these journey had taught you more than you bargained for which is weight loss initially, whatever you have picked along the way is able to keep you strong as you face life and its numerous challenges. I wish to be like that, taking bulls by the horn ALWAYS. @123, which post pls, before eagle eye start dealing with me again.

Mind you, i dare to speak or act like an expert, but am aware of some basics and work towards getting there. With all the above is why when am not brisk walking or running, walking is just another daily activity but because am certain ave burnt some '10' calories, i write it down. At least its better than just sitting down which i do more these days in the office

6:35am - 27 mins taebo cardio, 5 mins stretch. 8am - 1 banana, 4 dodo and 1 cup soaked garri. @123, why not? Washing plates for 10 mins is also an activity that burns calories but not enough for a weight loss stuff in my view. If not for elections period, am a field worker and my specifications keeps me on my feet and on the move for a minimum of 50 mins daily except fridays, so walking if not brisk is just like sweeping my sitting room in the morning, you can check the calorie count of all these activities and you will be suprised how low they are and except you are fasting you must have loaded the deficit back at breakfast alone.

@GenB, me i no gree o, that is a lazy man's statement in my opinion. The only advice i can give is that, your body more than any scale or tape rule knows when to stop. My body is my personal checker when its too weak to continue i stop, when its trying to be lazy i know, and when its injured i give it some lil rest as properly advised by who've been there and back. As the saying goes that weight loss is gradual, not seeing results can be frustrating too and for the latter, is it not better not to ever ventured in the first place? In my opinion there is on big deal about what modath is going through presently because it will pass as others had passed for her too. And so all of us, i have shin stress now, no one can tell me its intense exercise because in ur view, do my logs anything close to intense? How far with ur controversial man that wants to turn naija to ivory coast for us. God no go give am chance!!!

6am - 13 mins taebo, too breathless to go on. 8am - 2.5 cups rice and beans, fish and dodo, 4pm - 2 apples and 1 gala, dinner - pounded yam and ewedu soup. 123, my lips are sealed, just be careful with ur bucal. @ modath congratulations on the progress, but why did you call it a miracle?

26 mins taebo cardio. Still stagnated at 80kg as at this morning, almost 3 weeks now. I really noticed lots of inconsistency in both my food and workouts, devil is a liar. Good morning all
