donwilz: Take a chill pill and stop this old and nonsense cliche of PDP and Ohakim trying to destabilize Rochas. It's getting boring already. If he has not paid them, they have the right to present their grudges in the strongest and lawful way they deem fit. One who lays all his problems on others is a failure or bound to fail in the future.

Its as simple as that. Its funny reading the verbal pyrotechnics being spun allover nl by subversive elements like the OP and her ilk. Its been two years already and the promised "utopia" is nowhere in sight. Its becoming increasingly clear to Imolites that they actually jumped from frying pan into a fiery furnace. By the time the fraud of a governor is through, Ohakim will look like a saint....

For your information, Imo people are wiser now. The keke drivers that he used to sweet-tongue into singing his praise in mass are up in arms against his draconian policies. The workers are on strike. ITC, ADAPALM, PENSIONERS, CONTRACTORS, MARKET WOMEN and countless other groups have shown their dissatisfaction publicly. So you see, my friend, whatever he used to blindfold our people is gradually losing its potency. Tell your boss that Imo people cannot keep quiet for much longer. We have been saying the truth on the streets of Owerri and all those who have eyes agree with the truth.

I hope Berem, Abagworo and other Okorocha apologists are reading this. Its only but a matter of time.

So this stewpid thread is still trending? I thought Ndi Igbo has an Eze on nairaland? You will not see him when you need him only to incite ethnic war on nairaland. smh

Please address the issue at hand and quit with the diversionary tactics. I used to think you were a genuine progressive with yout constructive criticism of the Federal Govt but your stance on issues concerning Imo State leave a sour taste in the mouth. How is Rochas different from GEJ? Nigeria is semi comatose and same can be rightly said of Imo State. Rochas happens to be the most lawless chief executive in the SE. Just visit the National Industrial Court in Enugu and you will be amazed at the number of cases pending against the Imo State govt. You might crucify Ohakim but at least Imo youths got gainful employment under him (no matter how you try to paint his job scheme) All we have now is one loquacious governor whose penchant is making ridiculous claims of achievements. The local govt system has been comatose along with the civil service and this is a man who is supposed to be on a "rescue mission". Rescue mission my foot. We will endure till 2015 when we will show him the door but till then, peeps like you and Abagworo should know that you can't deceive all the people all the time. You have no moral standing to criticize GEJ if as an acclaimed Imolite, you think Rochas is the next best thing after sliced bread.

Let us call a spade what it is. With what I've seen so far in Imo State, if Rochas is asked to halt completely and infrastructural developments measured, he has already surpassed the PDP 12 years before him.

berem: LMAO! Peter Obi has now become the Godfather of Rochas? Rubbish! Hey buddy, as long as you have decided to attack Rochas, i won't fail to do that to Peter Obi! Focus on your state and leave Imo alone!

You smack of double standards. You criticize GEJ yet you praise Rochas even when it is obvious that he is running Imo State into the ground. People like you should never be taken seriously. You rightly criminalise the PDP but can't see that Rochas (who is a PDP man to the core) isn't better. Show me one institution that is working in Imo State. I bet my bottom dollar that you are only gonna mention projects that exist on paper only. I'm from Imo State and I daresay we deserve the kind of leaders we get. With all his "progressiveness" we'l see what becomes of Rochas in 2015. In the meantime, keep your bootlicking to yourself. We know what the deal is.

get ride of the great grand father u have as a coach and a genuine mentality will come into the team only then will u know the strength of your team otherwise, u will remain the crying champions that will never win a single match without controversy. when u have a team that is built around the refs, no player will be committed to anything because they are sure of winning at the end of the day.
the real tests come to manu any time they are in europe.

1025: pls man u fans, address the object and leave the shadow. fergie is too old to be in active football. the team is built around the fa and refs, no wonder even when you are not playing well, u are still the champion.
a man u fan beside me was so shocked and embarrassed with webb's decision to award a throw in for the giggs foul on luiz at the edge of the penalty.
until man u decide to play the game and stay independent of the fa and the refs, nothing will work well even with 100 epl tittles.
gone are the days other teams faint knowing that they were meeting man u. these days, the first question whenever any teams is playing man u will be, WHO IS THE REF?
these days, teams are afraid of the refs and not the team.
5 meetings between the two sides this season and chelsea without controversy won 3, drew 1 and lost one to mark clattenberg who gave chelsea two controversial red cards and awarded an offside goal.
in conclusion, i think your team should be addressing giggs, schools, fergie, fa and refs relationship with man u and only then will ur team come back to a normal team.
if not for the refs this season, man u will be exact where liverpool is on the log.
man city and chelsea are supposed to be fighting for the trophies this season but the refs decided otherwise and it is a very big shame.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Real Madrid Want Chicharito In Cash Plus Player Deal For Cristiano Ronaldo by Hugoboi(m): 9:45am On May 03, 2013
REAL MADRID will demand Javier Hernandez in any cash-plus-player deal for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Manchester United had hoped to tempt the Spanish giants with an offer of £65million plus Nani.

But Real want Hernandez and are set to bid £25m even if a deal for Ronaldo falls through.

Qatari-backed Paris Saint-Germain have already bid £80m for Ronaldo — the fee United sold him for in 2009.

And Premier League champs United are one of the few clubs that could afford the 28-year-old megastar.

Yesterday they reported record income of more than £92m for the first three months of 2013.

And while vice-chairman Ed Woodward insists there will be no overhaul of the squad, United are encouraged by Ronaldo’s preference for a return to Old Trafford if he does leave Real.

Hernandez could clinch the deal but United boss Alex Ferguson wants to hold on to the Mexican.

Fergie understands his striker’s frustration after only seven league starts this season.

But he said: “There is no reason to think this is not the place for him.

“We hope he feels he has made a contribution.

“He has scored 16 goals and his enthusiasm to play is always there.”

Fergie is also linked with swoops for Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski and Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao.

Who will bell the cat? The army of bootlickers and shoe shiners that he has surrounded himself with? Hell NO. The logical alternative will be for the entire nation to endure this apology of a president, wait till 2015 and kick him out at the polls.

Billyonaire: A single 6-Years Term for Presidents, Vice Presidents and all Governors will be the solution to the intermittent chaos that opposition pours into the Polity with a view of 'taking-over', thereby allowing the Governors and Presidency to focus on developmental ideals instead of defending their actions and inaction through out their tenure. If Nigeria is to speedily gravitate from being 3rd world to the next phase, then I admonish the house to selflessly pass this 6yr single term bill to enable the people stay focused on good governance. With regards to GEJ, He is too sincere, that's the issue here, I personally would have loved him to continue this abled-leadership to the second term (which am sure he will win) but if he chooses to give up the Second term in the event that Single term is passed by law, I can only instruct the Legislatures to exempt Jonathan, He MUST serve 8yrs. SO SHALL IT BE!

Gbawe:

Precisely. The sycophants of the Presidency, as usual, will make noise but only fools will believe any pledge GEJ makes. Serious resistance from every quarter means that GEJ will 100% be defeated if he ever attempts to test his popularity democratically and through an electoral process. The scams to buy everything and everyone on board, like the fuel subsidy theft, has begun.

Allison-Madueke is busy, as GEJ's 'paymaster general', ably assisted by "Mr.Fixit" Anenih, organizing the 'war chest'. This is simply a plot of some in the legislature, after massive inducement, to smuggle GEJ in via the back door. There is no sense in believing the utterances of a Presidency whose desperate and very overt antics to retain power at all cost has currently grounded governance. Team GEJ, consisting of desperados like Mr.President himself assisted by the likes of Anenih, will think nothing of bankrupting Nigeria just to ensure this unfit man remains in charge beyond 2015. They are wasting their time and Nigeria's money. Simple as that.

Well said. Nothing to add

Politics / Re: Rivers PDP Suspends 27 Pro-Amaechi Lawmakers, Gives Amaechi 48 Hrs Ultimatum by Hugoboi(m): 10:43am On Apr 30, 2013
Then they opined that loosing party membership is tantamount to loosing the position of the chairman of the Governor's forum. what slow logic. It is called the Governor' Forum and not PDP Governor's Forum, so membership is no based on being a member of PDP. Amechi can only lose his position of the chairman of the governor's forum after the next election.

Well said. It's so sad that the likes of billyonaire and Taharqa cant seem to come to grips with this apparent reality. Billyonaire's analysis of the above issue is so idiotic that one wonders the political rock he crawled out from under. These goons never cease to amaze me with their dysfunctional intellectual outlook

Let me state categorically that GEJ cannot win tge battle against Amechi. Amechi does not have much to lose as he cannot seek reelection, it is GEJ that has all to lose as he is desperate to come back, so the war is what is termed an asymmetric war. All amechi has to do is to absorb the attacks and let his term run out. Only the State assembly has the power to remove amechi and with 27 members on his side, it would be impossible to impeach him.

Anybody can see that. Talk of Amaechi's impeachment at this point is akin to wishing water from stone. Never gonna happen

The Greatest mistake GEJ is doing is fighting his opposition when he is yet to consolidate power. Even General Obasanjo was very genle in his first term doing mumu for everybody, including Atiku, Danjuma, IBB, etc. Imagine OBJ fighting Atiku in his first term, he would have been history by 2003. But he consolidated power in tge first term only to unleash it in the second term.

Little wonder he is called clueless.

nuclearboy:

1. If OBJ slept with his daughter in law, does that mean its right or sensible for GEJ to do same?
2. OBJ with all his autocracy is reputed to have prostrated for Atiku to get a second term. GEJ is slapping Amaechi - is that sensible?
3. OBJ did all his crap in his 2nd term - he had earlier "stooped" to conquer! Whats happening now is a knee-jerk and thoughtless reaction.
4. Sylva! Now Amaechi! Who next? What happens when he becomes like OBJ i.e. the PAST? OBJ was stones with pure water satchets, yet still remains a bit respected even though considered worthless in his own domain. With what GEJ is doing, ,is he truly helping his own future? Is it the militant thugs he has made Billionaires for whom a laundry list of problems await oncfe he's no longer president, that will support him

People should look to history and realise power is transient! If Abati could become turncoat on the people, he will become turncoat on Jonathan. I wish the President would realise these things and stop losing respect with the childish vacuousness he is exhibiting. I remember the way I cheered for him at eagle square and almost feel ashamed today - THIS IS NOT THE DREAM WE HAD OF GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN. We expected better.

You can win battles but lose the war! And that is what seems to be playing out before us! Win a bit here and a bit there, whist amassing enemies who wont forget andf you have a guarantee - the NIGHT OF THE LONG KNIFES WILL COME!

The bolded is classic. GEJ's men can rant all they want. He's fighting a lost battle cos Amaechi has nothing to lose and he knows it. I pity his proxies who are doing the dirty work more. The likes of Wike will get whats coming to them soon enought.

Is it the effeminate Peter Obi who looks for tribal sentiments when taken to the cleaners on a blog by a 3-foot aboki?
Or is it my bastaard governor Uduaghan who uses 7 billion naira to pick stones in an airport?

Tell me, exactly WHO have I praised blindly? Why are you shying away from the obvious truth that your governor is a petty criminal masquerading himself as a populist with cheap theatrics that portray an archaic communist mindset?

Hell, is my governor in Delta state not a criminal too? You see, the difference is, I'm not lying to myself.

Your governor was so dumb to dissolve the local government (which was NEVER under his control) and you see nothing wrong in this.
