Days later he signed a management deal with an international management team Temple Management.

Whilst we all were still waiting on him to float his own label and hopefully build his own music empire, the bigger shocker came in just this morning that is the singer’s birthday when super producer and Mavin Records (a.k.a Supreme Mavin Dynasty) Don Jazzy boss made the announcement on his instagram page that Iyanya has joined the likes of Korede Bello, Tiwa Savage, Dr. Sid, D’Prince, Reekado Banks, D’ija and others on the top class music label.

“The SUPREME MAVIN DYNASTY is pleased to welcome @Iyanya to the ever growing Mavin Family. Pls join us to welcome him and let the world know that we #Up2Sumting. #MavinActivated”

Following the announcement are mixed reactions from fans, as many thought Iyanya is too big to own his own label instead of signing under any already established local label, some also thought he owned artistes like Tekno, Selebobo under his former label Triple MG (now apparently owned and run by Ubi Franklin), and a few applauded his decision.

Unity Bank Plc allegedly sacked 215 of its employees yesterday due to their inability to cope with the new ideas and strategy of the company. According to a source close to the bank, about 200 new hires were said to have been recruited by the bank to promote the transformation initiative hat was initiated by the management within the past year.

The source also told Vanguard that about 100 other staff members were said to have been promoted recently.

“Some members of staff numbering about 215 have been allowed to go in an exercise that will enable the Bank realign its operation to pursue its long term growth strategy. However the affected staff were said to have exercised the option to resign while Management has approved severance package in line with the bank’s policy”.

Joachim Chinakwe, the man who named his dog Buhari, failed to meet bail conditions after he was arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Ogun state.

Joachim who is a trader from Delta State, was said to have behaved himself in a manner that could cause breach of peace by naming his dog after the Nigeria’s president Buhari and parading same at the Hausa section of Ketere market in Sango area.
