Does Ghana really have a fluorishing tourism industry? I dont think they do.
Gambia and Cape verde have the best tourism in West Africa.
of course, ghana plays host to a lot of attractions and is considered the gate way to west africa.. from the slave forts to the beach resorts, the pan african relics and eco park etc .ghana definitely has a burgeoning tourism sector. last year ghana made over $2B alone from tourism and is ghanas 4th biggest foregin exchange earner.. and in a bid to futher diversy the ghana economy big plans are geared up this year for the tourism sector.. the likes of accra marine drive.. imagine the beautiful beachfront developments of miami , gold coast city austraiala, the proposed accra ecopark like the one you have in kenya and south africa. and many more.. ghana is ready to take tourism to another level in the region.
Politics / Re: STOP Comparing Nigeria To Smaller Countries. It Is DAFT. by iamord(m): 12:49am On May 08, 2017
Litmus:

From the devisionist strategic standpoint of view, it makes sense to compare Nigeria unfavourably with the smaller, really, pointless Nations that litter Africa. This is because the purpose is to sell the ideas of a smaller nation, with small manageable population to Nigerians since the ultimate goal is to divide Nigeria. They feel that one of the things that bind Nigerians is the glory of belonging to a powerful large Nation.

Nigerians need to wake up or at least continence the idea that Niraland can be used by unknown forces for a grander purpose. I know, I know, this “Outsiders” obsessions of mine may turn some of you off but just keep open minds. Hope at least it is not unreasonable to expect many of you to continence organised Forum Respondents. If you cannot, then see the influence on the US Elections by organise Eastern European bloggers. Anyway, I’ll keep this short.

Do some of you Nigerians realise that the Americans have increased their military bases and places of operations throughout Africa? Do some of you know that China is establishing bases in Africa also? Ask yourselves why and go figure.

Keeping this short:

In any case, all African Nations are more or less under the thumb of the Western powers. The smaller the African nation, the more hopeless it is as a bulwark against further exploitation of African resources and, more importantly, the gathering and increased future exploitation of her resources. America influenced the last Nigerian elections, many would argue. To varying degrees, America has played historic roles in the politics of Nigeria. However, the size of Nigeria, her economy and disparate political and cultural landscape, presents a problem, difficulty and unpredictability the Outside powers of America, Europe and Asia cannot entirely control. Your zabazaba oil fields is easier controlled by France under a small Biafra than under the unwieldy unpredictability of large powerful Nigeria.

Ultimately, a successful Nigeria serves as the blueprint for the survival of black Africans in Africa. Many of the smaller nations need to merge. A continental Africa peppered with your Ghana, Kenya, Rwanda’s is a weak Africa under threat of external powers that have them fully under control, waiting to pick whatever they want from Africa and at whatever timescale they choose.
all this your grammar with no sense that's pathetic

So a thread comparing kenya to nigeria has ended with ghana in it.. and it has gotten to page 580 shocked
Well shout out to you guys that keep defending Ghana on this forum back to back!.. i joined nairaland way back 2009 with intentions of being close to a community online i could identify my interest with (or so i thought), but what i saw was so lowly i had to disassociate myself, and up till today i still see the same ol thing.. that's 9 years!! even with the same old crop of users making the same statements over the years after being corrected time and time again.. Damn! there are surely better things to do with my time!! not in this 2017!!! ..you see at the end of the day, what ever anyone says or thinks about ghana or vice versa on this forum does not affect the countries ranks and statistics other than the figment of the mind of the individual or group. and the aspirations of their talk and belief cannot fly higher than the grimme reality on ground. You try to correct them about their misconceptions about ghana and other countries and they will still find something to bring you back to prove their point, that's because they are governed by their thoughts, influenced by an environment rich in Ethnocentrism and this has created their reality. Am not saying that we can not contrast and compare nations but this chauvinistic attitude is long becoming boring and unrealistic.
Ghana does not need the approval of no layman to know that it's moving forward. a lot is happening in the region.. a whole lot! and it gets me excited .smart developing nations know that the world is speaking globalisation and trade and are pursuing the cause aggressively and not archaic chest beating of being a giant! Na Who giant help ask goliath!! It has not even helped the lives of those who identify themselves as such. The mere fact that we have comparisons of the so called giant of africa with "SMALL" nations shows that there is something wrong , your giant is only as a potential because that ground is still very open to nations that are ready. and the so called small nations seem to be out performing you . it's not just about size.. its about strategic economic positioning. This is something being discussed by top economists . every african nation has potential. it's all about utilizing its scarce resource, capital and intellectual power for dominance in a region. instead of comparing your nations as to who is better why don't you guys channel your energy towards making your nations developed as both countries are yet to reflect true development their potential poses or better still, better your pockets. let's start from there.

Science/Technology / Re: 10 Mysteries That Science Can't Explain by iamord(m): 12:40pm On Apr 28, 2017
Philtrik:
Human civilization has been on the Earth for a long time (and the Earth was around for even longer than that).
So it would make sense that there are mysteries surrounding ancient civilizations… so much happened, yet we have documentation of what or why.

Here are 10 mysterious and strange discoveries made in archaeology. Science has yet to fully explain them (or if it has, there is plenty of room for doubt). It’s hard to speculate as to the truth of the situation, but it’s also impossible to dismiss them as hoaxes.
.
10. Interlocking Stones at Puma
In Bolivia, there is a large temple complex that includes perfectly interlocking stones from the Inca civilisation. In Inca traditions because it is believed to be the site where the world was created. This stonework is so precise, it’s unknown how it was possibly built so long ago.
.
9. Baghdad Battery
A few of these items have been found, also referred to as the Parthian Battery. These terra-cotta pots were created in Mesopotamia and seem to have copper and iron inside, creating a basic battery if there were electrolytes present.
.
8. Co-Existing Dinosaur & Human Prints
dinotopia-2-huge
Although many of these fossils were proven to be faked, there are some samples of human and dinosaur fossil footprints found together in the same ancient rock layer that are a mystery. If they were real, this would disrupt the theory of evolution.
.
7. Crystal Skulls
These are carvings made of clear or white quartz and they are allegedly pre-Columbian Mesoamerican artifacts (Aztec or Maya civilizations). There are no rudimentary carving markings though, making it difficult to determine if they really are ancient artifacts… possibly possessing powers.
.
6. The Magnetic Hill Of Ladakh
Have you ever heard of a place on earth that defies gravity? unbelievable, is it? Nestled in the lap of snow caped Himalayan ranges and silver valleys, Ladakh in India has a Magnetic hill where a vehicle moves up a steep hill even with their ignition off. The Magnetic hill or Gravity Hill is situated at a distance of 30 km from the capital city Leh and is located on the Leh-Kargil-Baltik national highway, at a height of 14,000 feet above sea level.
.
5. Ancient Flying Machines
ancient-flying
These small models depict small flying crafts or airplanes. However, lighter-than-air flight wasn’t accomplished until the 1780s. So how did ancient civilizations know enough about flying to make models and sketches of flying machines?

they are a strong proof that there have been visitors on this planet in respect to ufo.. some are still worshipped as Gods today

Art, Graphics & Video / Re: How Much Should A Professional Logo Design Cost? by iamord(m): 4:40am On Apr 28, 2017
erad:

Whether you own a startup or established business, having a professional logo is beneficial on many levels. It builds trust, increases awareness, creates an emotional attachment – and ultimately, can deliver new customers. But how much should it cost?

While the range of logo design prices covers a broad spectrum, if you’re not in the graphic design industry, it may be confusing to know what’s reasonable since the price varies by designer. No logo design guidebook exists, and logo designers are free to charge whatever they wish. Some may choose to charge extremely high prices while others may choose to charge rock-bottom prices just to get business. To avoid confusion, try to stay within your price range and pay a price that makes you comfortable. In the end, the price should be fair and equal to the time spent on the task.

A Reasonable Logo Design Starts at $200(N61,110 by current exchange rate)
One should expect a simple logo design to cost approximately $200. A simple design is typically a logo with a well-defined company name and mark. Intricate patterns and complex lettering may increase the price of the logo. The finished design should be clear, unique and professional. The definition of simple will vary from person to person, which is why it is important to find a designer who works with their customers throughout the design process. An experienced designer will be able to produce good work if they have clear instructions. The designer should provide at least four concepts for this price and two rounds of changes if the customer should need them.

A More Complex Design Warrants a $400-$500(N122,220-N152,775) Price Tag
A logo design with intricate patterns and fonts typically costs twice as much as a simple design. Expect to pay around $400 for a design of this type. The increase in price will also include extra services, including up to 10 original logo designs to choose from and unlimited changes until you are pleased with the results. A reputable company will provide concepts for business cards, envelopes and letterheads as well. You should also expect to receive a minimum of three concepts for each type of stationery.

An experienced business logo design company will have more than one designer working on a project. Simple jobs require two to four designers, and complex jobs require a larger team of designers. A team is necessary because each custom-made logo needs fresh ideas. If one designer were working on a large number of logos daily, he or she would eventually run out of ideas. With multiple designers, a company can produce quality logos and concepts continuously — a great perk to keep in mind when choosing a logo company. In the end, a high-priced company with one designer is no match for a reasonably priced company with multiple designers.

And finally, consider the reputation of the designer or logo design company. Look for guarantees, samples of previous work and positive reviews. Also, find someone who is willing to hear about your unique business — whether it’s via an initial phone conversation or by completing a helpful creative brief, you want to be sure you designer cares about what sets your business apart.

the irony is that the so called ghana must go bag nigerians tagged it as is imported and not even a nigerian invention!while it was used as an object of ridicule and disdain. It was invented by japan, moved to Hong Kong in the 1960s and has become a representative of Hong Kong culture representing the industrious life of Hong Kong people, the bag of ridicule was also adopted by louis vuitton and sold for a whooping sum.

You may also need to check up on the meaning of rhetorics and exaggerations.

Nobody takes that bigger than Lagos statement as an empirical fact except dumb assholes like you undecided

I did say bigger than Lagos didn't I? A little bigger can mean anything.

The crux of the gist is that Nigeria is bigger than Ghana.

"ghana can't be as popular. ghana is just a little bigger than Lagos. "

It beats me how someone that has an education will make this blunder.. i suppose you never had access to an atlas or have poor cognitive skills so let me bring a pic for illustration.

look at the two countries, you can guess where lagos is

isn't it shameful that people that claim to have past out of the four walls of formal education, cannot still differentiate the obvious? its pathetic really. so ignorant! locked up in a world of your own.
