Rossikk: On the contrary, unlike South Sudan, Ndiigbo had once ran a nation successfully until some Blood suckers came knocking on our borders forcing unity. Unlike South Sudan we have a vast pool of quality human resources unrivalled by any other indigenous African group. Unlike the South Sudanese, we have never had full blown war amongst ourselves, even though the Western region was homogeneous, they burnt themselves first in Kiriji war of 1877-1893 and then later in operation Wetie, the North burnt with Tiv and Jos riots, whereas in the East, we had learnt the art of negotiation and living in relative Peace amongst ourselves, the East was the most peaceful region in pre colonial Nigeria and still the most peaceful in the Post colonial Nigeria. We are by far highly advanced people. Comparing Igboland with South Sudan is the highest level of ignorance and naivety on your part. 1 Like |

Rossikk: Political systems? Igbos practised the purest form of democracy before the Greeks knew the meaning of that word. We need not discuss about the system of government we would use, that already is engrained in our genetic make up, it's in our DNA. 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: FG Set To Generate Electricity From Uranium by Igboic: 3:20pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Good idea. They should site it in Yoruba and Northern states. I estimate that two of such nuclear plants in SW, preferably Osun and Oyo, and three in the North, preferably Katsina,Sokoto and Jigawa, will generate enough electricity to power Nigeria for 24 hrs in the next 5 decades or more. They can as well employ all the staff to work on the nuclear plants from SW and Northern states. This is one good development. Kudos to Buhari. 1 Like |

Rossikk: "Proud Igbo nation", you seem to have missed this part of my post. Where will the money come from? The same place the money used to build up Igboland after the ruins of the civil war came from, with the FG neglect. That's exactly where the money will be coming from. And secondly, I wonder how where the money will be coming from is any of your business. You are not Igbo the last time I checked. Quick question for you, where did the money this Igboman is using to build this structure in his rural community coming from? https://www.nairaland.com/3215044/see-what-coming-up-rural |

Politics / Re: The Fall Of Middle Belt Nigeria by Igboic: 2:34pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
There is nothing like middle belt. Only naive Igbos are deceived by such silly terminology, there is but one North, controlled by the Fulani- Hausa Islamic core. Danjuma, Gowon, IBB, are all supposed to be middle belters, but we know better. You lots are one with the Hausa-Fulanis, and would end up in same nation with them, in the end. |

In addition to the capital of the New Western African country being in Igboland or in Ibibio-Annang-Efik region. Any other arrangement other than this will not be accepted by Ndiigbo. So, what do you think now? |
Politics / Re: Biafra Revisited: A Journey To The East. by Igboic: 2:12pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
YET AT HOME THEY ARE MUCH LESS IMPRESSIVE THAN THE IBO BUSINESSMAN AND BUREAUCRATS ONE MEETS IN OTHER PARTS OF NIGERIA. PERHAPS, LIKE THE OVERSEAS CHINESE, MUCH OF THE CREAM OF THE SOCIETY IS DRAINED OFF SEEKING CAREERS IN OTHER AREAS. IF SO, AGAIN PERHAPS LIKE THE CHINESE, MUCH OF THE HOPE FOR PRIVATE INVESTMENT AND PROGRESS WILL BE THE GRADUAL RETURN OF MONEY AND INDIVIDUALS TO THE HOMELAND TO PUSH DEVELOPMENT. Very apt observation. This is the way forward for Ndiigbo. The FG starved our region of needed funds for development, instead they concentrated the funds and development in Lagos and North, forcing our people to migrate in mass to those places, if we must access those funds. Those who were able to migrate and access those funds became the cream of the Igbo society today, and they owe it to Igboland, the obligation of re investing those accumulated wealth back to Igboland, to uplift the living standards and general well being of those who stayed back home to rebuild our homeland that was bombed to ruins by the Egyptian fighter jet the Nigerian military. OP. Nice thread, I am saving this in my collections. Thanks. 1 Like 1 Share |

Ethnic nationalism is still a potent force. The period or era if government by intimidation, coercive integration is over. No one group again can own the nation. Those denied justice may have no interest in peace . This is Obiozor justifying the movements of MASSOB and IPOB. Is there no way we can get men like Obiozor in places of more influence. Or is he just saying these things for saying sake. He looks like a determined man. I like what I'm seeing. This Rochas Ohanaeze meeting might have just been saved by Obiozor intelligent speech. 1 Like |

What do Nigeria elites do? None of the Nigeria political groups was able to involve a unified national ideology that other people accepted. This is true. What we see is ethnic nationalism which is not about to disappear certainly not in Nigeria no matter how we may want to wish it away. So apt. Ambassador Obiozor was indirectly telling the Igbo people, to embrace ethnic nationalism and not be naive to think we could succeed any other way. He is also wise enough to know that Nigeria will never ever be a nation, but would rather remain a battle centre for battling ethnic groups and their elites for supremacy. So much wisdom in this Obiozor man. Can anyone here tell me more about him( Obiozor)? 2 Likes 1 Share |

logicab: Awo was already in a secured place, in the East. You are the one not getting it. Awo's insubordination inspired the military coup. All insubordination to authority in Nigeria can be traced back to Awolowo and not Nzeogwu. That remains a fact. I know you didn't see that angle, when you opened this thread with intent to dump Nigerian problems on the Igbo? Well, like they say, look before you reap. Awo and by extension Yorubas remain the genesis of political unrest and insubordination in Nigeria. They destroyed our democracy and replaced it with disarray, truly the problem of Nigeria, like Sanusi surmised. Every Yoruba man dead or alive most make Peace with the above reality and stop dragging Ndiigbo into their mess to cover their sins. 1 Like |

logicab: Lol! Never knew they needed to scheme on how to release Awo, after the coup, when they would have become the only powers that mattered then. Either way, Awo greed for power disrupted West and gave us operation Wetie. Awo introduced the first known case of insubordination to constituted authority in Nigeria, he planned the first coup( hostile take over) in the history of Nigeria. His preceded those of Nzeogwu and co. |

Hagm0nd: Another trash from Yoruba propaganda archives. Not only was Fajuiyi in full support of Nzeogwu actions and the coup, he persistently shielded them from being punished by Ironsi by pleading on their behalf, when the coup failed . He was top of the death list of the Northern military junta who he obstructed from getting justice they demanded by shielding "the boys". He didn't die protecting anybody, he died for his role in the coup. The story of Fajuyi dying to protect Ironsi was made up by the Yoruba propaganda media, who needed to paint the picture of the coup as an "Igbo coup", but couldn't sell such, if they remained true to Fajuyi's role in the whole debacle. 1 Like |

logica: No! The very first coup was the civilian coup hatched by Awo led AG to topple Tafawa Balewa's government, that very act of treason and insubordination driven by Awo's lust for power, set the precedence for future coup planners in Nigeria, it also inspired Nzeogwu and co. Remember that the plan of Nzeogwu and co was to install Awo as the numero uno. I'd say that Awo greed for power and lust for lucre, first of all set the Western region on fire, and inspired the first military coup in Nigeria. Awo is to be blamed. He( Awo) and by extension Yorubas are the genesis of everything wrong with Nigeria, Sanusi was right. |
Politics / Re: iGbo Grudge Against The Present Gov't Is All About Hatin Yoruba And Not Buhari by Igboic: 9:36am On Jul 17, 2016 |
See afonjas taking igbo fired missiles for their master. We fire at bubu, you slavishly take the bullet and complain that we hate. This is the big issue. Yoruba see any insult or criticism on Buhari as insult/ Criticism on them, since they are mainly the brain driving this Buhari government. In this scenario, it becomes impossible for an Igbo to objectively or sentimentally criticize Buhari's government, without a Yoruba jumping in to defend Buhari and in the process receiving the shots meant for Buhari. Then he turns around and say: " Igbos hate Yorubas and not Buhari". 4 Likes |

AgentOfAllah: But the crime of an individual can be used to characterize all members of his ethnic group, the actions of few individuals can also be seen to reflect the will and stance of their people, that will explain why crimes with Igbo names as perpetrators are seen as an Igbo bashing fest in NL with hypocrites like you nowhere to be found in such threads, and a coup by few Igbo elements was seen as an Igbo coup and used as a justification to unleash near genocide on the Igbo people. The funny thing is that people like you think themselves intelligent, where as their folly is bare for all to see. |
