Politics / Re: Let's Give GEJ A Chance by ijebu(m): 10:42am On Feb 05, 2011
Let's gve GEJ a chance. A chance to ground the nation. Can we all stop sentiment once and sincerely look at all the records of all the presidential aspirants. We need someone who have the boldness to face the Goliat (corruption) that has been roaring and destroying every fabric of our nation.

walata44:

Who to trust again in Nigeria? I always think this man is for the masses not knowing he's got different agenda.

What better aganda can he have for the masses other than when he actively participating the the process of improving the lives of the masses. It is not enough for him to preach about good governance, but to be a direct agent to bring about good governance, not to be a social critic, but to bring about social development. This is the best agenda for the masses.
Let us all lay aside all sentiments that have over the years stung the socio-economic development of Nigeria.
The opportunity for Nigeria to move forward has presented itself in the Buhari/Bakare ticket, a team that has a record that has not been stained by corruption.
Nigeria Support Buhari/Bakare Ticket for the progress of this Nation
Politics / Re: Acn: Inec Can’t Detect Multiple Registration by ijebu(m): 9:07am On Feb 02, 2011
I pray the ACN fears is not real. By now one would have expect Jega to react to this, I am sure they are double checking to make sure that this is not true before going public.
But from Jega statement that INCE has to reduce the sensitivity of the biometrics because the system was very slow. So the so call upgrade by Jega was a downgrade and increase the vulnerability for double registration.
Even if you run a query on a database, the database my not detect double registration if you dont use the same name and the biometrics information is not detailed enough as we have in ongoing registration exercise.
We be happy if Jega and his kenyan adviser can take up the challenge and demonstrate publicly that the ACN information is not real

Bilymuse everyone is entiltled to his opinion

bakare is a shameless clown
Only people who are benefiting from ongoing corruption in the Nation will be afraid of change.
Change is inevitable, it can come it different form.

Politics / Buhari Bakare Ticket A Bloodless Revolution by ijebu(m): 8:15am On Feb 01, 2011
BB Ticket is a Bloodless Revolution (the wave going on in Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen) that is about to happen in Nigeria that will be opposed by the reactionary forces who are benefiting from the present corrupt leadership in the country.
The argument of religious extremism against the ticket to me is a good selling point, as we are about to witness the return of Nigeria to her right moral and religious value. Buhari was a military head of state he did not introduce sharia law, he had problem with Idiagbon for sending his under age son to mecca after the regime has pegged age limit to the prig rimage, and also announced that government will not sponsor people to mecca (you can see that Buhari is an extremist- I laugh)
Thank God that despite the fact that Buhari was a minister of petroleum, a Head of State and PTF Chairman, no one can bring up any accusation bothering on corruption against him. But that he was an ex soldier, but a Nigerian.
Our political landscape will change and Nigeria is about to raise again, because the Bible says when the righteous are in power the people rejoice.
LET US SUPPORT EXTREME RIGHTEOUS LEADERSHIP, FOR THE SAKE OF OURSELVES, OUR CHILDREN AND OUR NATION.
SUPPORT BB TICKET FOR THE REAL CHANGE
Politics / Re: Buhari's Atrocities Seems To Have Been Forgotten? by ijebu(m): 8:10am On Feb 01, 2011
The so called atrocities aer Buhari selling points. We now have shil loads of drugs coming to Nigeria, I am sure that guy must be a drug peddler.
Nigerians are not dump so we did not forget Buhari's Atributes as fearless to kill drug peddlers who are not destroying the nation with drug money, incurruptible, as Commissioner (minister) of Petroleum, Head of State and PTF Chairman. Religous extremsit, who need to save Nigeria from the present state of moral decay, and to uphold our value system like WAI.

Afam:

If I decide not to continue with the webhosting will I be allowed to go with the domain name?
Afam unlike other provider, you have a direct access to your domain name management panel which is even separate from our web hosting c/panel. So you can move your domain to any other host if you are not satisfied with our services.

Niyyie, we are sure confidence with our services and the speed of our server that is why we included the testing code of hostingspeeds.com, let other web hosting firm in Nigeria that are sure of their server speed do the same. Hostingsppeds has a database of almost 2500 web host, and if we can be under 200 for over four months, then we deserve commendation grin

Webmasters / Re: Signonafrica.net? by ijebu(m): 3:14pm On Sep 21, 2006
There is no way a web hosting firm can know what the client intended doing with the services they are paying for. But the hosting company shuld regularly monitor the activities of their clients, though most will not because of the financial gain.
If a web hosting firm has too many scam issues to handle then the IPs of the firm will surely be blacklisted and this will have an effect on all the sites on the server.
I will recommend ABIMCO WEB HOST, http://abimco.com, they provide excellent and affordable services, their service delivery after confirmation of payment is within 2 hours. But dont go near them if you intendend using your site for any illegal activities online, because they have A ZERO TOLLERANCE, your site will be terminated without warning.

Politics / Re: EFCC And Governor Joshua Dariye of Plateau State by ijebu(m): 5:22pm On Jan 26, 2006
Which way Nigeria is heading to.
It is high time someone put an end to use of Federal might to intimidate other units of our Federation. It was Federal might that was used in the first place to get most of this people in government, even when they are not the choice of the people.
The Federal government use the Police, EFCC, Army to intimidate the States. EFCC has no right to Freeze the account of any State in Nigeria, Dariye that is the target cannot be arrested by EFCC by virtue of the immunity conferred on him under Section 308 of the constitution nor can he be equated to the Plateau State Government for the purposes of the ownership of the accounts in question.Judiciary that should be the hope of the common man is a tool use by the government in all cases of Presidential rascality in Anambra, Oyo and Plateau.

Which Way Nigeria. cool
Nairaland / General / Re: Moving Nairaland To The Next Level by ijebu(m): 12:03pm On Jan 26, 2006
Nairaland is no doubt the biggest online forum in Nigeria now, so there is need to move the forum forward. It is good that seun is involving the stakeholders in the forum to brainstorm of the appropriate plan and action for doing this.
The first plan is to get moderators for differenet sections in the forum, this can be volunteers, and the appointment should not be done based on the quantity but quality of the contributions of the applicant. I will send in more information and ideas later. cool
Webmasters / Re: Starting Your Web Hosting Company? by ijebu(m): 1:16am On Jan 24, 2006
It's no doubt a nice thread and quite informative, especially for young Nigerians who rather than continue searching for jobs that are not there can start up their own private label web hosting firm, with little capital.

With free templates, on-line website builder, young Nigerians who don't know how to design website can start, their hosting business without problem.

Crime / Re: Can a Woman Rape a Man? by ijebu(m): 8:37pm On Jan 21, 2006
'allonym', That your definition of rape is not what is in our (Nigeria) law book and to proof a case of rape beyond every reasonable doubt you must show evidence of the penetration of the 'penis' of the suspect even if it is the outer layer (labia majoria) of the victim.
Unless and until we  change or review our criminal law,  in Nigeria  a  man cannot be raped  cool
allonym:

Rape is the act of forced penetration of any bodily orifice (vaginally, anally, or orally) or forced cunillingous, involving violation of the survivor's body and psychological person. The assault is accomplished by the use of force, the threat of force, or without force when the survivor is unable to physically or mentally give her or his consent. It is the destruction of a feeling of control over one's body, life, and the course of events. Rape is an experience of violation, degradation, and humiliation. It often infuses the survivors with the shock of their own vulnerability

This means a man can rape a man, a man can rape a woman, a woman can rape a man and a woman can rape a woman. You don't need a penis to rape someone, any broom handle would do.
Nairaland / General / Re: The Nigeria Police by ijebu(m): 6:32pm On Jan 19, 2006
The federal Government of Nigeria has setup a reform committee for the Nigeria. I think this is the best time to make our contributions toward having a better and more focus police force in Nigeria. Though I doubt if the government will ever make public the report of the committee not to take of implementing recommendations of the committee. we can still express our opinions. I think the best place to do that is on the police forum on their website, www.nigeriapolice.org/forum  cool
