@FX user would u advice i buy now or wait after dividend ?
FBNH is a good buy even at the current price. The first quarter of this year will see virtually all stock blossoming and probably reaching unprecedented high.

My opinion please.

IF I HAVE MY WAY:
MINISTER OF POWER, WORKS IN NIGERIA WILL NOT USE GENERATOR IN HIS HOUSE AND OFFICE.
MINISTER OF TRANSPORT MUST TRAVEL BY ROAD FOR AT LEAST 60% OF HIS OFFICIAL JOURNEY.
MINISTER OF EDUCATION MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2/3 OF HIS CHILDREN SCHOOLING IN NIGERIA.

AND SO ON.......

HE WHO WEARS THE SHOE SHOULD AND MUST KNOW WHERE IT PINCHES. OUR LEADERS DOES NOT KNOW WHERE THE SHOE PINCHES, THAT IS WHY NIGERIA IS WHERE IT IS TODAY

PMB, ATIKU, JONATHAN etc. ALL OF THEM ARE THE SAME. NIGERIANS, WAKE UP AND COLLECT YOUR COUNTRY BACK FROM THESE SAME OLD POLITICIANS THAT HAVE MORTGAGED THE FUTURE OF THIS COUNTRY.

ALL THE MONEY ATIKU HAS SPENT AND IS STILL SPENDING NOW WILL BE LOOTED BACK 10 TIMES IF HE GETS INTO POWER, NOT ONLY THAT, THOSE THAT HELPED HIM TO ACCOMPLISH THAT TASK WILL BE GIVEN ONE SECTOR OF THE ECONOMY EACH TO LOOT AS COMPENSATION FOR THEIR ASSISTANCE,. NIGERIANS! WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLUMBER.

I have been monitoring the debate on caverton for some time now and personally I don't seem to be confortable with the business model/nature of business of the company (looks like a white elephant project/business model). Secondly, the stock is not liquid enough for ease of exit. Thirdly, buying the stock is more or less like buying into "hope". I will rather buy DF/Sugar or Mobil/Eterna, UBA/Zenith and Okomu/Presco even at their current price, because I know that even when the bear comes, I will still sleep with rest of mind as their prices will surely rebound and surpass where they where before. I Just don't know the reason why someone have to walk on the valley of the shadow of death when there are so many safe routes that one can pass; NSE has so many stocks that we can confortably buy and sleep well, so why will someone be hell bent on gambling?

This is just a personal opinion please.

With due regards, you are not fair to @samguru's remark on C&I leasing. We are all here to say our minds and reacts to every stock based on our perception/research/hearsay and thereafter do our DD.
My own opinion however on C&I is positive for now, based on their current Q2 EPS of 35k. The only problem I perceived is that the stock may not be liquid on the long term (probably in 2 months time). I entered at 63k though with tasere units and hope to bail out as soon as I make 100%.

I hope this C&I rumour is not a trap and a strategy by some individuals to sell their holdings. A company that is barely managing to pay FYE dividends that pple are spreading rumour of interim div. I dont believe it sha but I stand to be corrected and proved wrong.
Conclusion
We plan to
pay an interim dividend by mid-year.

These days, the media rarely report news about boko haram and It seems the government and nigerians are no more concentrating on boko haram news again, probably because they are yet to find their way to the major cities again or because of the sympathy people have for the present government.

However, innocent nigerians are dying daily due to the activities of these insurgents and life still go on as usual. Which way Nigeria?

Business / Why Is Price Of Commodities Lesser In Cotonou Than Nigeria by ijinleoro: 2:43pm On Jun 16, 2017
Fellow Nigerians,
Please let us reason together:

Why is the price of rice and other essential items cheaper in cotonou than in Nigeria? I understand that rice importers in Nigeria buy rice at the same place where cotonou importers buy theirs, but Nigeria importers simply re-bag it and sell almost double the price they bought, while cotonou importers sell theirs only with marginal profits. If this is true, then why can’t Nigerian government simply force these importers to reduce the amount they are presently selling rice to the level of that of Cotonou, if really the government cares for the welfare of her citizens.

Is it true that stallion, dangote and other rice importers have constituted themselves into cabal thereby imposing exorbitant price on imported rice, or is it that the Nigerian government has imposed higher tariff on imported rice and other essential items to the detriment of her citizens.

Food, clothing and shelter are the most important needs of every human being. I am very sure that if Nigerians can feed conveniently, cloth and get a good shelter over their heads, then, we would have lesser problems in our hands. I even learnt that the price of cement and other building materials is cheaper in cotonou than in Nigeria.

Therefore, there is the need to focus, discuss and find out: WHERE DID WE GET IT WRONG.
Analyst and expert in the house should please shed more light on these issues.
