Are you sure that Obi himself is not a homosexual with his queer voice and womanly character? It is said that such thing run in the genes, if his son is gay, there is every likelihood that Obi is one too.

ALTERNATEID:
Thank you Mr. President. You do this one for Nigerians. One more thing to complete what you’ve started. Amend the constitution to scrap SIEC and allow INEC to conduct LGA elections going forward. It is now left for Nigerians to monitor those elected into local government councils.

The chairman of my local government lives two street away from me. Once he start misbehaving or showing signs of extravagant living, na to mobilize boys go beat am for him house. No more nonsense at local government level. Ntoor to rogue governors.
Scrapping of SIECs is unlikely because such a constitutional amendment still needs at least 24 states to ratify it and your guess is as good as mine as to whether most governors want INEC to be given the legal responsibility of conducting local government elections in their states.

Just like Anioma state, this state won't be created
You are right. Creation of new states are totally unnecessary. It is the oil producing states that will bear the brunt as their wealth will be channelled to sustaining these unproductive states.

Politics / Re: National Assembly Grants Full Autonomy To The 774 Local Governments Of Nigeria . by IkeOnyia: 12:40pm On Jul 03
One of the clauses that will surely be rejected by the states houses of assembly is transferring the responsibility of conducting local government elections from SIECs to INEC. Those SIECs were created by the houses of assembly in the first place and it will seem like oppression on them for the National Assembly to strip them of that power of oversight.

Politics / Re: Bill To Create Etiti State In South-east Scales First Reading by IkeOnyia: 7:17pm On Jul 02
Ndi Igbo should be coming together rather than breaking themselves up into tiny bits. State creation has created so much division among Igbos to the extent that someone from Ebonyi cannot be appointed or elected into any position in Imo and so on. Igbos now bash and judge each other on the basis of statehood. Ebonyi people are seen as primitive, Imo girls are labelled prostitutes, Anambra men are tagged arrogant, Enugu people are called derogatory names like wawa and Abians are seen as human flesh eaters. Discrimination is the only thing that state creation has brought to Igbos, there are no benefits whatsoever.

Politics / Re: Obi Decries Insecurity In Nigeria, Calls For Release Of Kanu, Other Detainee by IkeOnyia: 7:59am On Jun 30
Calling for the release of a hardened terrorist like Nnamdi Kanu whose footsoldiers have been responsible the killings in the region without first seeking his deradicalization, is irresponsible of Obi. It is another proof of his lack of fitness for any public office as it indicates that he is in bed with secessionists who mean Nigeria no good. Even Boko Haram terrorists undergo rehabilitation from the Army after renouncing their terrorist ideologies. Peter Obi should call for Kanu to renounce secession and seek forgiveness from families of slain police and military officers that his Biafra units have murdered before asking that the criminal be released. Releasing Kanu without him doing necessary penance would be spitting on the graves of the fallen heroes.

The money that Ebonyi state government wasted on that white elephant airport would have revived NigerCem at Nkalagu and kickstarted an industrial revolution in Ebonyi state that its deprived citizens earnestly yearn for.

Politics / Re: What The Constitution Says Must Be Done Before A New State Can Be Created by IkeOnyia: 10:36pm On Jun 15
EmeeNaka:
What is needed is simply a political will. To circumvent the arduous process, the president can, through the National Assembly, change that constitutional section and simplify the whole process.

To amend any constitutional provision including that for state creation, still requires two-thirds majority of the state houses of assembly, ie, at least 24 states.
That is an uphill battle because many state governors prefer the law to stay as it is because they don't want their states broken up, especially while they are in office. A good example is the constitutional amendment during immediate past admin when local government autonomy was passed in the National Assembly but failed to get up to 24 states approval and so couldn't be passed into law, but other provisions like authorizing states to administer electricity, build and administer prisons and railways were able to get up to 24 states approval and so became constitutional.

Which means that there was no survey or EIA done before the road was awarded. Very awkward administration. Just like the appointments that are made and few days later withdrawn. TVC just reported that Tinubu has ordered a review of the governing boards of tertiary institutions announced some days back!

The same Atiku who vowed to contest every election as long as he is alive until he wins. This is definitely a trap to lure Obi into coming back to PDP as his withdrawal proved fatal for Atiku in 2023. Obi is very desperate so he will likely be used again like Tinubu used him last year.

What is to stop terrorists in northern Nigeria, Mali, B/faso, Niger, Mauritania from blowing up the gas pipeline? Already they are blowing up TCN transmission towers in the north.

Politics / Re: Enugu State To Demolish GTBank: Investments And Jobs At Stake. by IkeOnyia: 5:44pm On May 14
Mbah is so clueless. He is on a demolition spree targeting big businesses like banks, hotels, and restaurants that offer well-paying jobs just to build a glorified bus park that he will staff with stick wielding agberos. Enugu state has never had it this bad. From approving free lands for fulani cattle herders to over-taxing water tankers that supply drinking water to residents of Enugu town. Terrible governor.

onuman:

Igbo state governors of these days no longer understand that public water supply system is govt responsibility. Because they see that people resorted to digging private water boreholes.
These Igbo govs vacation abroad and see that private water boreholes system is not used for public water supply. These Igbo governors watch their subjects consume untreated water from private boreholes, while the govs waste public funds on vainglory projects, including flyovers.
Treated water is even more dangerous with all the cancer causing chemicals they add to ensure so-called purity. That is not even the issue because even in the US, you see boreholes with overhead tanks in big cities like New York and other northeast cities were the pipes are old, lead covered and rusted. The issue is that Peter Mbah is overtaxing these water transport companies in Enugu that offer life saving services to a town that would have been deserted without them. Ever wondered why most industries are going to ninth mile instead of Enugu main town. Cost of buying water in Enugu is already through the roof but the stupid governor who can't give his people water is adding to the water problem.

Water is in the water table.
Some areas are higher than others. So their boreholes will be deeper than other areas.
Dig boreholes to the water table, put pipes and water works and supply your town.
This is the work of government.
How far with the water pipes in Enugu, as 95% of houses in the town still have Gp tanks in their front yards waiting for water tankersto fill them up.

Peter Mbah has been a colossal failure. He can't provide water for Enugu residents, he is now forcing tankers to paint their trucks while he extorts them for rendering services that his govt has failed to render. He can't provide security for Enugu despite huge security votes he collects monthly. All he does is wear that ugly looking suit. Dude can't even speak Igbo. What a shameful governor.

All the good and nice looking roads in Benin city were done by a non-bini man Oshiomhole, that's why many Binis see Obaseki as a disgrace to Bini kingdom.

Peter Obi should go and donate money to the survivors. Not just opening his mouth waaa and playing politics with everything. If it were in plateau or some other states he sees as competitive, he would have rushed there quick quick with his black on black to pretend he cares.

Ebeano49:
This may be a strategic move by Ihedioha. First of all he should start by apologizing to Ndi Imo for working against Obi in 2023.
As things stand, if Obi remains in LP, LP will beat both PDP and APC in any free and fair election in Imo State and throughout the SE.
What of Apga in his own state? They have been too tough for Obi to defeat.

It is no surprise if Makinde has fallen out with Wike. Their relationship was all pretense. Makinde was wary of Wike demolishing his company assets in Port Harcourt and had to romance the dictator for survival. There is even credible indication that Atiku has pencilled down Makinde to be his running mate in 2027.

Peter Obi has long been known for his substandard and below-par projects right from when he was governor of Anambra. The people of the state can tell you more about his substandard roads that were washed away after six months. The problem has to do with his level of education. A third class graduate will always behave like one.
