A 28-year-old man with mental problem has died while receiving spinal injury treatment after he was assaulted by his inlaws.

It is alleged that the relatives were taking a revenge attack on the man for wounding his wife.

Sub Inspector Gladson M’bumpha Dowa Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), said the deceased was Zinduma Dzuwa from Chikhungwa Village in the area of Traditional Authority Kalumo in Ntchisi but was staying at Chigudu Village in Traditional Authority Msakambewa in Dowa District.

“The incident happened between March 4 to March 11 2020 at Chigudu Village. It is said that the deceased was mentally ill since October 2019 and on March 4 2020 he attacked his wife, Dorothy Kajawa of Chigudu Village, with an axe on the neck and head where she sustained cuts.” Explained M’bumpha

“In revenge attack, the victim’s relatives assaulted Dzuwa after tying up both arms at the back and he sustained a spinal cord injury in the process.

Later on, one of his relatives from Chaguza Village in Traditional Authority Msakambewa in Dowa District was called to take his relative (now deceased) to the hospital of which he took him to Dzaleka Health Centre where he was referred to Dowa District Hospital.

Dzuwa died on March 11 2020 while receiving treatment at Dowa District Hospital” said M’bumpha

He said postmortem conducted at Dowa District Hospital established that death was caused due to spinal cord injury, distil arms and bed sores.

“Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt for the suspects who are believed to be the relatives of the bereaved wife.” Disclosed M’bumpha.

An unnamed student of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State has delivered a baby girl in her boyfriend’s room, and also discarded it into an empty plot of land close to the compound.

A source who is a student of the institution told DAILY POST that the lady chose to deliver in her boyfriend’s room because he lived in a hostel close to an empty plot of land, overgrown by bushes, where they planned to dispose the baby.

“She tried to throw the baby into the empty plot through the window, after delivering it, but the baby got stuck in a barbed wire, and continued to hang there until residents of the area came to rescue it.

Meanwhile, DAILY POST gathered from a medical officer at Chukwunoso Specialist Hospital, Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area, that a newborn baby girl was alive.

Other students of the institution had rushed the baby to the hospital, after it was found hanging on the barbed wire by its leg.

Dr Nwosu said though the baby has a wound on the leg where it was trapped by the barbed wire, its condition is stable, as it is receiving necessary treatment to ensure it doesn’t suffer temperature abnormality.


Meanwhile, the doctor also confirmed that the student has been arrested and brought to the hospital, where she is currently breastfeeding the newborn baby.

Reacting to the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Polytechnic, Mr. Obini Onuchukwu said the School authority got to hear about the incident like every other person, adding that security department of the institution has been directed to get full details, noting that the incident happened in a private hostel, outside the Polytechnic’s environment where the School authority is not in control of students’ actions.

A randy Economics teacher at Alarelu Comprehensive High School, Igbara Odo-Ekiti in Ekiti South Local Government Area of Ekiti state, has been sacked by the State’s government for impregnating a 17-year-old student of the school.

The Grade level 10 officer identified as Mr. Owoosi Gbenga, reportedly impregnated the SS3 student who was preparing for Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.


Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Abegunde confirmed the teacher’s sack and also revealed that the decision was taken after a six-member disciplinary committee carried out a thorough investigation.

Abegunde who also commended the government for promptly arresting the culprit, stated that dismissal of Owoosi will serve as a deterrent to others who might want to indulge in such heinous act.

A 20-year-old man suspected to be suffering from an undisclosed mental condition went on a killing spree and murdered five members of a Binga family on Friday night.

The assailant, Christopher Gotore, ran-amok and slaughtered five members of his in-laws’ family at their homestead in Marangana village where he had visited.

On the day in question, Gotore went to Admire Nyangarayi’s homestead where he set one the huts on fire. Alarmed, Nyangarayi rushed to the scene to investigate.

Unfortunately-Gotore who had armed himself with an axe-pounced on him and struck him twice on the shoulder.He died on the spot.

After the incident, a bloodthirsty Gotora axed his brother-in-law’s children, Shan and Tawanda Sibanda, who were sleeping in a bedroom hut which he shared with them.

After that, he then went to a shed where his sister Patience Gotore was sitting with her husband, Bruce Sibanda and another relative of his brother-in-law, Chiravingwa Shumba.

Catching them off-guard, he struck Shumba on the neck, killing her instantly. Sibanda and his wife then fled the scene after the former’s attempts to disarm Gotore failed.

The assailant then proceeded to the cattle pen where he is said to have tied a cow before fatally axing it.

Sadly, another family member, Bibeat Munsaka who had sought shelter at the same cattle pen after having heard the commotion, was also fatally axed by the Gotora.

Munsaka’s one-year-old baby, Loice Compassion Sibanda, who was strapped to her back also died after being struck.

The bodies were taken to Bulawayo for post-mortem while Gotore was subsequently arrested and is in police custody.

Matabeleland North provincial police spokesperson, Chief Inspector Siphiwe Makonese confirmed the incident but did not furnish the publication with finer details of the tragic incident.

He referred further questions to national police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi who could not be reached at the time of publishing the article as his phone went unanswered.

A Zimbabwe man has allegedly been stabbed by his wife for interrupting her sex session with her lovers after he caught the trio red-handed in the act.

Tinei Muchena was said to have gotten the shock of his life when he caught his wife pants down with two men in their matrimonial bed.

To his surprise, his unapologetic wife allegedly left him nursing wounds after she stabbed him for interrupting.

Iharare quoted B-Metro as saying that the matter came to light after Nelia Ndlovu was hauled to court by her husband for allegedly assaulting him.

The court heard that on 29 April 2019, Muchena knocked off from work around 8.00pm and headed straight home.

Upon arrival at his residence in Mbuzo, he was shocked when he found two male seated on his bed.

He then quizzed the duo what they were doing in his bedroom let alone Unclad on his bed.

This, however, infuriated Ndlovu who started accusing Muchena of entering without knocking.

An altercation was reported to have broken out leading to Ndlovu drawing a knife and stabbing Muchena on the right hand and he sustained cuts on the fingers.

He was then rushed to the hospital where he received stitches on the fingers that were left dangling by the wife.

Presiding magistrate Story Rushambwa sentenced Ndlovu to three months imprisonment.

A married nursery worker had sex with a 13-year-old boy and had his baby.

Leah-Cordice-pregnant-for-a-13-year-old-boy who was 17 at the time, from Windsor, when she drunkenly walked into the boy’s bedroom where he was playing computer games and pulled down his trousers before having sex with him, the court heard.

She continued having unprotected intercourse with the child on average twice a month for a year, right through her pregnancy and after she gave birth to a girl, it is claimed.

Ms Ong, speaking of the police interview, told the jury: ‘The boy said that he and Ms Cordice started having sexual intercourse when he was 13 years old.

‘The defendant, Ms Cordice, was drunk, she went around to his address, she went into his bedroom and at first, they talked normally and he continued playing on his Xbox and watching YouTube.

‘Ms Cordice then sat on his bed and started to hug him and kiss him and it carried on.

‘He said, “I could not really say no. She would have kept asking and asking me to have sex”. Afterwards, he felt that it was a bit weird and that she did not say anything to him afterwards.’

The boy had been the first person who Cordice told that she was pregnant, the jury of seven men and five women heard, and she had shown him an app on her phone which suggested the date she had conceived was the first time they had had sex.

While they carried on having sex, Cordice had married her long-term partner and had given birth to her daughter.

In a police interview video shown to the jury, the boy told how Cordice’s husband had found out about her relationship with him.

The boy told investigators: ‘Her boyfriend found out. He did not really say anything. He got angry at first. He started shouting at me. Then he did not really say anything to me.

‘She spoke about him to me sometimes, just how he had been annoying her, accusing her of stuff.’

The prosecutor told how Cordice, who had begun studying at a child care course and had been working in a children’s nursery, had been forced into taking a DNA test after social services became involved once the boy’s mother phoned police.

This showed the 13-year-old boy was the baby’s father.

Police arrested Cordice at her home in Windsor, Berkshire, on July 9, 2018 and she was later interviewed under caution.

The jury heard she had provided a prepared statement, saying: ‘I deny any sexual contact with the complainant.

‘He has always had a crush on me and would always make inappropriate remarks and do inappropriate things such as grab me and annoy me. We did not have sexual contact.’

Despite DNA evidence to the contrary, she insisted: ‘The complainant is not the father of my child.’

Since her first police interview, the DNA test was carried out which the prosecution said meant it was 14 million times more likely than not that the 13-year-old boy was the father of Cordice’s child.

Cordice, appearing in the dock wearing a grey jacket with a furry lapel, was expected to claim that the young boy had raped her, the jury was told.

However, Ms Ong said: ‘It may come as a surprise to you that she, Ms Cordice, now accepts that there was sexual activity between her and the boy.

‘What she may say is that she was raped by the boy. The prosecution’s case is that there was no such thing but these individuals agreed to have sexual intercourse with one another.

‘The prosecution’s case is that this claim of rape is a lie, it is an attempt to make the complainant go down in your estimation of him.

‘Her assertion that she still believes that the boy is not her child’s father, the prosecution will say, is patently untrue.’

The defendant still denied that the boy was the father of her child, the jury heard.

Cordice denies five counts of sexual activity with a child, three which were said to have taken place while she was aged 17 years and two while she was 18 years old.

The trial continues.

An Albuquerque woman is suing Samsung for over $1.5 million after she necessitated medical attention after inserting her cell phone inside her vagina and was unable to retrieve it for 96 hours.

Salma Briant, 39, claims her medical bills at the University of New Mexico Hospital amount to $1,168,000 and that she has suffered from severe psychological distress because of the whole ordeal.

Briant said she first inserted the cell phone inside her vagina as a dare from one of her friends but quickly realized that the phone would not come out.

“I wanted to see how it would feel to put my cell phone on vibration mode inside of me, just for fun, but it soon turned out to be a nightmare,” she told judge Andrew Peterson in tears.

Attorney Jim McAfee’s claims his client was forced to undergo a cesarean section to remove the cell phone because of the atypical shape of her pelvis and had no insurance at the time.

“Samsung is definitely at fault here as they offer no warning about the dangers and potential risks during the insertion of their products inside their clients male or female body cavities or genitals” Salma Briant’s lawyer, Jim McAfee said in court.

A Samsung spokesman said they would not comment on this case at this moment but explained that an out-of-court settlement was still an option on the table.

Apple faced a similar lawsuit in 2014 after a man had attempted to swallow fourteen iPhones and ended up in the emergency room for mercury poisoning.

Apple was eventually forced to legally specify that their products were not fit for human consumption and the man was conceded an undisclosed amount of money.

A 42-year-old Ghanaian man has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment, for impregnating his 14-year-old daughter.

The man identified as, Daniel Kwame Baah, was jailed by an Accra Circuit Court, after engaging in incest with his daughter.

The convict, a trader, was dragged before the court last Friday and charged with the offense of defilement and incest.

He pleaded guilty to the charges and the court presided over by Christiana Cann convicted him on his own plea but deferred his sentencing to today, Monday February 24.

The convict is said to have forcibly had sex with his own daughter and continued to sexually abuse her on multiple occasions.

His first encounter with the victim, who is 14, and the oldest of his five children is said to have occurred in June last year when he forcibly inserted his finger into her private part while she slept.

He then had canal knowledge of her after the incident and continued to sexually abuse her until she became pregnant.

The vile act was uncovered by the Girl Child Advocate attached to the Anyaa L/A Primary School when they saw the pregnant victim in school uniform and questioned her.

She narrated her ordeal and the matter was reported to the police and the convict was arrested.

Daniel Kwame Baah faced two counts of defilement of a child under the age of 16 and incest.

The court in passing judgment took into consideration the graveness of the offense and the need to serve as deterrent to others who may attempt to do similar thing.

The judge sentenced Daniel Kwame Baah to 20 years’ imprisonment in hard labour for each count. But the sentences will run concurrently so he will serve 20 years instead of 40.

The mother of a 14-year-old schoolgirl who was allegedly abducted by a three-man kidnap syndicate recently, Mrs Ukamaka Onyechi, was terribly alarmed when she got a call from her daughter’s guardian in school decrying her absence several days after school had resumed.

At first, the rattled mother found the message strange as her daughter, who is in boarding school, according to her, had left home for school days before the call came in; exactly on January 12, this year. That could be her return to school after the last Christmas break.

But the stark reality, according to her, stared her in the face when she got a text message from a phone number, demanding a ransom of N10 million. The sender made it clear to her that the ransom must be paid to them if she would see her daughter again.

The girl, who was a student of a secondary school in Onitsha, was taken away to an unknown destination from Onitsha to Ogidi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State while she was returning to her school.

And for 27 days after she was picked up, her abductors turned her to a sex slave while waiting for their ransom of N10 million. Luck, however, ran out on them when the men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Anambra State Police Command (SARS) trailed them to their hide out in Ogidi.


Narrating what happened at the police headquarters in Awka, the state capital, the victim said that she was making arrangements to return to school when her abductors struck.

Her words: “On 13th of January, 2020, I was on my way back to my school. When I wanted to enter a Keke, a man stopped me. He told me to come and I went to answer his call thinking maybe he was a father to one of the students returning to school.

“He said that my face looks familiar and asked where we have met before. I told him that I am from Ogidi. He too said he was from Ogidi. He asked me my name, which I told him. He asked for my surname, which I told him too.

“From there, that’s how I got to his house. He locked me up, refusing me to go. When he locked me up in his house, he had sex with me. He also beat me up. I spent up to one month there. I was rescued by the policemen.”

Giving further insight into the incident, the mother of the victim, Ukamaka, said that she got a call from the school indicating that her daughter was not in school several days after she had left for school.

“I sent my daughter to school on January 12. She lives in the school. It was on 13th that her guardian called me and told me that she was not in school. So, since then, I kept looking for her.

“It was on February 8 that she was brought to me by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

“Before then, one week after I was told that she was not in school, I got a text message in my phone and in the message, the sender was telling me to bring the sum of N10 million if I want to see my daughter again.

“Secondly, they asked me if I wanted to hear her last voice if I won’t pay the money. Later, they reduced the ransom to N60,000 and asked me to go and pay immediately; that I should not involve the police”, she narrated.

The woman who was thankful to the police in Anambra said that she never knew that the police still work as it did in her daughter’s case. “I am very grateful to the police. I don’t know that they still work like this.”

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Haruna Mohammed, a Superintendent of Police, in a statement said that SARS operatives trailed the suspects to their hideout in Ogidi community.

He narrated that the suspects, two men and a lady, who warned their victim’s mother not to involve the police, provided her with a bank account number where she was to deposit the ransom.

“On the 8/2/2020 at about 5:30p.m, the command Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) trailed and arrested at their hideout in Ogidi the following syndicate: Onyemechi Aniobi ‘m’ aged 23 years, Elochukwu Okudo ‘m’ aged 25 years and Pauline Elechi ‘f’ aged 24 years.

“Suspects had on the 12/1/2020 allegedly kidnapped a 14-year-old girl in Onitsha and took her to an undisclosed location. Consequently, on the 30/1/2020 the syndicate contacted the victim’s mother through SMS and demanded for ransom of N10 million which was later reduced downward after much pleading by the mother.

“Suspects equally sent a First Bank account number 3120904371 bearing one John Blessing to the victim’s parent to deposit the ransom.

“Meanwhile, the victim who was held hostage for 27 days and allegedly raped severally by the suspects was rescued by the police and taken to the hospital for medical examination. The case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to court for prosecution”, the police said.

In a mind-boggling incident, a disgruntled and elderly man from Limpopo, South Africa ended the lives of his four biological children in a desperate bid to get back at his bed-hopping wife whom he accused of infecting him with the human immune deficiency virus (HIV).

Surprisingly, the killings occurred not long after the distressed man had taken to social media to vent out his frustrations.

The murderer, Senyatse Lucas Pasha in a series of Facebook posts poured his heart out citing unfair treatment from his youthful wife whom he sensationally claimed was spending time with her much younger boyfriends whilst denying his attention.

In a post dated 17 February 2020, that left many of his followers shell-shocked, Lucas Pasha disclosed all the names of the men he suspected were having illicit sexual affairs with his wife Sylvia.

He also added that, because his wife had many sexual partners, she had contracted HIV which she transferred to him.

The heartbroken man also indicated that his wife Sylvia had neglected his children in.

In another post, the seemingly suicidal man claimed that his wife could not do simple tasks such as bathing his children and cooking for them.

He also added that whenever he bought foodstuffs they usually ended up rotten as his wife was absent from their matrimonial home much of the time.

Despite several warnings by his Facebook friends, Lucas instead turned a deaf ear and went on to kill their four children and has since gone on the run.

A wife has taken an unconventional method to shame her husband after finding out that he has been cheating on her.

The aggrieved woman publicly shamed the cheating husband and later went on Reddit to explain what she actually did.

The woman got revenge on her cheating husband by spray painting a message on their mattress and leaving it outside the house for her cheating husband, and the neighbours, to find.

In the message written on the mattress, she explained that she has told the children what he did and that she’s divorcing him.

The message, written in red paint, reads: “I changed the locks [his name]. Take the bed to [her name]’s house. Slut. I’m divorcing you. I told the kids what you did in our bed and they don’t love daddy anymore.”

She placed the mattress outside the house for her estranged husband to pick up when he returns. This also meant that neighbours got to see the mattress.

Some took sides with the woman while some said she went too far.

A pastor has been accused of impregnating his member’s wife who has been married for 7 years.

According to social media user, Tolani Baj, the member’s wife was impregnated by the pastor during a special prayer to break their family curse.

She is said to have moved into the Pastor’s house and cut off communication with her husband.

Rumours were heard on social media last week that there’s a South African pastor who is capable of healing people just by sitting on them and fart.

Meanwhile, the man of God has come to defend himself that what he does is actually healing and not farting on people.

Pastor Christ Penelope of the SevenFold Holy Spirit Ministries in Siyandani Village in Giyani, Limpopo, said people who tell the stories are wrong.

“The people saying all those things weren’t there. They hear of things and believe them,” he said.
Photos of the pastor sitting or standing on top of congregants are making the rounds on social media, with people claiming the air from his backside wasn’t stinking but holy.

There were claims people were flooding to the church.

“What I do is not by flesh but by faith,” he said.
He said when he sits or stands on them, they don’t feel the pain because the Holy Spirit is in charge.

He referred the SunTeam to his Facebook page and said all the answers were there.
One of his statements on Facebook reads, in part: “This is to tell the doubters that we did not do it by mistake, and we’re not repenting.

“We’re not going to be intimidated. The body is the church and the head is Christ.

“You expect me to go and sit on the church?
“I must come directly to the head and sit on it.”

He said they couldn’t be ashamed to testify about what God gave them.

“We met Him personally and He gave us this to display.”
He said stepping on people didn’t start with their father, Professor Lesego Daniel of the Rabonni Centre Ministries.

“It started with the master Jesus Christ when He stepped on top of Peter,” he wrote.

“If there’s no harm you don’t have to speak about it because it means God was there.

South Africa police have opened a murder docket after a student at University of Fort Hare was stabbed to death by a woman believed to be his girlfriend at the weekend.

The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Iona Residence at the university’s Alice Campus.

The deceased, 24-year-old Yonela Boli, was a geology master’s student at the university at the time of his death. He was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend after a dispute between the two.

The suspect, who was arrested by the police over the weekend, is also a masters in geology student. She is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.

Eastern Cape police spokesperson Brigadier Thembinkosi Kinana told SABC News the police were still investigating the circumstances around Boli’s death.

He confirmed police had arrested a woman suspect.
