Family / Re: Infant Formula. Sma Gold & Nan. Which Is Best? by imambre(f): 12:24am On Apr 18, 2016
Nan all the way. Am a medical doctor/móther of 4. Tried sma gold for my first 2 kids and it was constipation everyday with eczematous skin rashes usually from the soy content. Had to switch to nan. The latter 2 kids had nan. Didntt bother to go through same previous issues. Moreover in the course of my practice, research shows nan to be the closest to breast milk and mothers who cannot breastfeed for one reason or the other are advised to use nan. And it is pocket friendly too. What more could a mother ask for

Thanks. I had my baby 3months ago and the craving stopped immediately. The other day,my maid reminded me that I had not eaten it since I came back from the hospital,so I sent her to get me some,but I didn't enjoy it the way I did before.That was the last time I had it. I now believe that it must have been hormonal

I am pregnant and am a doctor.just became addicted to it in my 6th month and it's really embarrassing. Despite the fact that I know all the health implications I simply can't stop the habit. I checked my blood level and I ain't anaemic. Don't know what to do. I pray the craving stops as soon as I put to birth,in Jesus name

Career / Re: Back To Nigeria After Medical School? by imambre(f): 2:03pm On Jul 14, 2008
@poster,
the bottom line is:if you are just interested in attending to patients and telling them sorry for common ailments which you know that it could it could be handled easily out there,then you can come home.But if you want a medical practice that you will be fulfilled knowing that you are well equipped to see to your patients needs,then stay where u are.IT is not all about money but job satisfaction.I can assure u that u will never be satisfied especially after being exposed to technology.The other day i was suturing a young girl who was involved in a road traffic and the hospital generator went off.Did i tell u there has been no NEPA light for over 2 months in this part of the country?we lost the patient and i hav not been able to get over it.Things just dont work here.its depressing!!! shocked

doc,stay put where u are.there is no job satisfaction here.u will be gambling with diagnosis because there is nothing to work with.I am bored stiff because i keep on assuring patients when i know in my heart of hearts that there is nothing i can do to help them and that there would have gotten better treatment outside the country.Last year i had to travel to India for an open heart surgery because there is no such centre in Nigeria.On getting there,i realized that this is a routine procedure there as if one is treating malaria.work and learn where you are,you be a happier person outside Nigeria

u really dont have any problem.if u are really AA then all ur children wil be AS.if u are AS then u should be concerned as u have an increased risk of having AS children and even SS.To be on the safe side,just crosscheck ur genotype again and if it is confirmed AA then u can say yes!
wink
