Nairaland / General / Re: Are There Nigerians In Xi'an, China by ineh: 1:50pm On Dec 17, 2007
Xi'an is in Shaanxi Province, not Shanxi. They're 2 different provinces. I'm in Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province. We're far apart.

very typical of a niger who wants to let everyone know her situation. Ok i mispelt Shaanxi (those that live in Xi'an & want to respond will understand that it was an omission).

anyway it will still be nice to speak with you.

Religion / Please, Let Us Pray For Our Beloved Country- Nigeria by ineh: 5:27am On Dec 16, 2007
I believe in this country so much. I believe the Lord is leading us to pray at this time. Below are point from Pastor Bakare's message which i found on the church website.

Jesus is not for particular church or pastor or denomination, therefore, wherever you worship as long as you call on the name of Almighty God, in his son Jesus name, pray for this nation.

Prayer Point:

Lord, every evil scheme of man around the President and his presidency, those who are laying wait to shoot at him, redirect the arrow to hit them. Lord, cause this nation to know peace and progress. Heal the President, help him, and direct his heart to do what is right in Jesus Mighty name. Amen.

The state of affairs has encouraged a lot of horse trading behind the scene, as powerbrokers, schemers, evil geniuses, and seemingly genuine stakeholders are meeting day and night to ensure that their grip on Nigeria continues. But I have bad news for all these enemies of righteousness.

Bad News for Evil Geniuses:

1. As at the time I am preaching this message, the king is not yet dead! I know that many a living dog is better than a dead lion. But watch it when the lion is only old but not yet dead. The dog that is strong and buoyant that walks in the part of a lion has already signed his death sentence.

2. All your scheming and horse trading behind the scene might be tantamount to your digging your own grave.

3. Either the king himself will scheme your death or his successor will decree your waterloo.

Prayer Point:

In conclusion, I pray that no matter the name of the ailment, sickness or disease in the life of President Umar Musa Yar’Adua that the word of the Lord will heal him and give life to his mortal body in the name of Jesus. May the Lord perform His word according to what He has spoken. May He do a great thing in this nation. May He silence the adversary and shutdown every evil genius. May He turn things around to favour the gospel and the advancement of His Kingdom in our nation. May Nigeria flourish again. May God heal our land and restore us again. Thank God for Nigeria—A Land of Peace, Plenty, and Possibility. The king is not yet dead. [/font]

So, If Nigeria means alot to you, if you are tired of the lack of development in our nation, then pray for Nigeria. Our prayers coupled with our excellent manners of doing things and boldly requesting that our leaders serve the citizens not their pockets will change this nation.
Travel / Re: Life In France: Visa To France, Pls Help by ineh: 4:10am On Dec 16, 2007
I hope my response is not too late. i just came across your message.

Life in France (Paris for example) is quite expensive which is logical if you compare the Naria -Eur exchange rates).

The rates for studio 'a room which serves as a living & bedroom is from 400 Eur.
school fees for private universities (most are from the UK or USA so you have the option of learning in English) ranges from 6000 Eur a year
Your must speak french if you want to go to any of the public universities. if not, you have 1 or 2 years for learning french before you are finally taken for degree course. the french courses are not free.

The french embassy is not different from the rest in Nigeria so expect to wait outside for your turn. Then Speaking french is very important if travelling as a student. They expect you to have passed some test (at the Alliance Francaise) for proficiency in french language.

I know my response is not very detailed. If you still intrested in getting more info you can send me an email on mine personal email.

Travel / Re: Life In Various Foreign Countries: From My Experience by ineh: 4:49pm On Nov 24, 2007
Hello there,

this article may not be complete but its not far from the truth.

What fascinates me about Nigerians is when important issues are raised, some people do not even raise important questions or make an enquiry on the topic. Other prefer to deceive those that aspire to travel by telling them that all is green in other contries even in Russia.

I have lived in France now since 2004 & i have seen Nigerian & other African who barely make ends meet. With the Sarkozy (President of France) program immigrants have worse days ahead. You need to go to some quarters where Nigerians live, its a life of misery. My point here is even in countries like France immigrants are living poorly.

There was a documentary by France 2 ( French national TV stations) and blacks living in Russian are having a hell of a time. Foreign student are being killed and harassed on a daily basis & the Putin (president of Russian) govt does not care as this Skin heads protects him. they said they want a pure Russian where everyone is blond and blued eyes. even immigrants from other Asian countries are having it bad.

As for Malta, illegal immigrants have a camp where they leave. As their boats land, they are taken to this camp. They cannot leave the camp and cannot integrate into the society. Ask the Somalians they have stories to tell as they are many there. These immigrants when interviewed preferred to return to Africa.

So i suggest that when someone writes an intelligent artice instead criticizing, we should instead make research to see if the person is telling the truth.

Having leave abroad for awhile now ( France now China), the best place to be would be Nigeria. If only our Leaders would understand that. Don't get me wrong, I M not suffering in anyway. I get relatively better treatment because of my husband. But the reality is too Obvious
Well done Vicjustice
Religion / Re: - Winner's Chapel Members Meet Here- by ineh: 12:20pm On Nov 24, 2007
Before i start i would quickly like to say I am a christian before am termed 'from the devil' That said,

would like to know what pastors Oyedepo, Chris and others are doing to make our country better.

In other words, as they are respected by all their members & non members alike, it will be great if they can speak up and encourage God's followers (their members) to to do the same about the ills in Nigeria. As a influential persons, why can't they draw our leaders attention to the ills. We all know that our leaders are afraid of churches and mosques as ther know that it is easy to convince their large crowds. As a christian, I believe that Christ came for the poor and down trodden. it is not enough to have church branches but the church must engage in the building of the society. I believe also that the church must show example by buiding clinics, water provision etc in place where these does not exist as they plant churches. I Believe strongly, that if pastors like Oyedepo etc can speak up like few of them are already doing that our leaders will sit up.
Church is not the venue where we worship but we are the Churches & we are the ones to show examples to others including our leaders. If churches continue to exclude the poor by high school fees in their schools, stopping sick people from being admitted in these schools then i can say that that is not what Christ stands for as he came for these very people that are subtly being excluded. I would like to suggest that we as members of our local churches begin to ask our pastors questions and encourage them to invest in people & communities as then can we really say we are christians and not the acres out church building occupies. I believe christians should stop hiding in the name of christianity not to perform our civil and spiritual rights. we should do as Jesus did, speak the truth. Am not a member of Winners but my mum is
Good day.
