Klinee: Ini edo u are just propagatin.say the truth, head bridge is federal government road not state ok.obi never do to the expectation at all.no good road network(poorly constructed,no hospital,no airport, delapidated school builds, everywhere dirt.no good sporting ground(holy trinity stadium is far better than that ikpazu).haba many to list.most nigeria movie is been shoot in asaba y? Becus there no good enviroment in onitsha,so they go to asaba.pls let us talk truth, only truth will save us

Nigerian movies are shot everywhere even here in Awka but produced and marketed nationwide and worldwide in the city of Onitsha. As for Asaba its a suburb of Onitsha- that is a fact. The GRA, Omagba, Housing estate areas of Onitsha are more decent and clean than Asaba. If you are coming from Lagos to Onitsha, one would hardly know that he has passed asaba, because it is almost insignificant to notice. The picture below is a sample of how decent and serene Onitsha GRA and its environs can be. As for Anambra Int'l Cargo Airport, it has been approved by FG, I know for sure that Orient Petroleum and Anambra state govt are already working on it because of oil/gas and huge economic activities in Anambra which can only be 2nd or 3rd to lagos and Rivers states.

This is yet another picture of Anambra I picked from the internet. The picture shows Obosi By-Pass flyover. But people will rather turn blind eyes to all these, they kept their mind on the pictures of Anambra from 10-15yrs ago. Its time for Anambra people to tell their story. Outside world need to know that its no longer as before.

I just went out now to take a picture of my street off Ifite Road here in Awka. This is not even GRA, but it looks decent and clean. The bungalow in the picture is where I stay. People are still looking at Anambra with the mind-picture of 10-15yrs ago. A lot has changed with the last few years. Infact most inner streets in Awka is gradually becoming like this.

@valjes

This is the new headbridge, does this look like a dirty city? Am sure this picture is over two months now and they are still beautifying the area and putting street lights as at last week I passed on my way from Lagos to Awka. The picture is been flying all over the internet but you people will turn blind eyes to it, instead you will be looking at the city with the perception of 10-15yrs ago.

valjes: and Amadioha will strike you for turning a blind eye.believe it or not Anambra is one of the dirtiest state we have.do u want to compare it with Enugu, Owerri or Asaba?atleast let's feel the capital naaa.maybe if u have friends from other states you will understand.

At least I live within Anambra state. Qoute me anywhere Onitsha is very clean now. I know how headbridge use to be before now. Infact let post one pix new headbridge.the new ANSEPA in Anambra called LAGA, they clean and sweep major roads in Awka and Onitsha, even my street here in Awka(Ifite street) is swept every day.
Strike imo state out of your analysis, cos its still a rural state when compare to Anambra.

valjes: I left home 4yrs ago and returned to meet Anambra exactly or even worse.from Asaba to bridge head or is it from Owerri to Onisha the first thing that will welcome you is piles of refuse,I went to Ochanja Awada and Nkpor some of their roads were divided by dirts and erosions, they told me the road they were building over one year in my street is still like that(back of new stadium fegge)people still preferred the one there since like 30yrs ago than this present one. U won't even know the capital of Anambra.was looking for where to take my friends to,no good hotels no fast food.if u re on top bike u will keep praying until you get home.the kind sand wey full upper iweka bridge nko?there is no road to their major market which is main market.God peter Obi no try...na only to renovate school toilets and will be advertising on television.have u been to Nnewi.shaiiii Anambra is looking good like this becos people in it are hardworking and trying on their own imagine what will happen if?

May you see in your family what u wish others. Am from Cross River but am a ZIKITE. I must say you are an unrepentant liar. I live in Awka but I go to Onitsha at least once a month to shop at main market. I must confess that Onitsha is neat now, with good roads.from the entrance, last month I was coming back from lagos the Headbridge has been widened so much so that its now like the ikorodu road in lagos. I still saw them putting street lite from headbridge down as at last week. As for Awka, its one place I enjoy due to its hospitality, because it has good number of nice hotels (I club a lot) and clubs, its a bubbling place in terms of jolly. All those Onitsha boys always storm Awka every weekened to spend cash..they are really money spinners. All in all Awka and Onitsha are nice at least in nigerian standard. I have not been to Nnewi can't say much. But the only bad side of Obi is that I heard he is tight fisted

Modern architecture and fascinating buildings?? Tell one Ѻϝ such that can be found along Ziks Avenue, compared with those found in other major cities. Can you even compare Awka with the neighbouring state Enugu in terms of beauty and "fascinating buildings" ? And for your info i school in UNIZIK.

Am not here to do unnecessary comparison. Since you claim to be a ZIKITE go round Udoka est, Abuja est, even Ngozika est and tell me that u cannot see beaufifully crafted architectures built by govt as well as individuals. I agree that Oshio has made some mark when u compare him with former govs of the state but it does not remove the fact that entire Benin town is still packed with ancient houses most which moulded with mud block. The govt can encourage individuals to remodel or outright reconstruction to boost the general asthetics of the town.

Peter Obi ¡ѕ what Mr man, if you are honest with yourself, you won't give Peter Obi even C when rating him, he ¡ѕ busy harnessing money without spending it on any visible developmental projects. The state capital Awka ¡ѕ nothing to write home about.

At least it is far far better and advanced with modern architecture and fascinating buildings than where they build mud houses in the state capital. I school in Paul University in Awka so I know what talking abt except ofcos u are talking of Awka of 10yrs ago.

Politics / Plans To Sack Okorosha Soon Under Way by INIEDO2: 8:43am On Mar 09, 2013
All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Imo State has alleged a plot by the Presidency and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to sack Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha and to distort the activities of the Imo State House of Assembly.

The party also alleged plans to promote disaffection in the ranks of the state government and if possible execute the long conceived agenda of impeaching the Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Mr Benjamin Uwajimogu .

In a statement signed by Prince Marshal Okafor Anyanwu, state chairman, the party said: “This ill-conceived move is not unconnected with the ongoing investigation by the state legislature over allegation of financial gratification leveled against the Deputy Governor, Sir Jude Agbaso by one of the major contractors handling the state government road projects. “Governor Rochas Okorocha, a few days suspended his oversee trip to intervene, when events as regards to this subject matter almost assumed a negative direction.

“We are, therefore, surprise with the way and manner the Presidency and national leadership of the PDP unexpectedly showed interest on the matter and subsequently declared support for the Deputy Governor, Sir Jude Agbaso, who is not a member of the PDP.

“However, we gathered that the 12 PDP lawmakers in the state legislature summoned to Abuja a few days ago, met with the National Chairman of the party and its Board of Trustee Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and Chief Tony Anenih at Nicon Hilton, where the lawmakers were told in clear terms not to participate in the ongoing investigation on corrupt allegation against the deputy governor. “According to our source, this position was an aftermath of Chief Martin Agbaso’s recent deal with the PDP.

The senior Agbaso had as part of the clandestine moves to save his younger brother, struck a deal with the PDP promising to remain in APGA as against his earlier intention to join the All Progressive Congress (APC). He also pledged to work for the PDP presidential candidate in 2015, which President Goodluck is favored to pick.

“The lawmakers, our source further hinted, also met with the Political Adviser to the President, Alhaji Ali Gulak and National Vice Chairman of PDP, South-East, Col Akobundu (retd) in another location also in Abuja and were mandated to support the deputy governor even if he was found guilty of the allegation.

They were also ordered to strategise and actualise the impeachment of the Speaker, Benjamin Uwajimogu and Governor Rochas Okorocha as both were perceived to be their problem and not the deputy governor.”
