Education / Deeply Researched Undergraduate Projects Have These 15 Things by iniproject: 5:17pm On Feb 18, 2019
Undergraduate projects have certain unique properties that define them. In most cases, these properties are universal and very much acceptable except for few disparities in some fields of study. That notwithstanding, the ones we are going to talk about are indispensable as far as undergraduate project topics is concerned.

The following are 15 things you must find in an undergraduate project;
• Abstract
• Background to the study/ Introduction
• Statement of the problem
• Scope of the study
• Objective of the study
• Research question
• Limitation of the study
• Research methodology
• Research design
• Discussion of finding
• Summary
• Conclusion
• References
• Bibliography
• Appendix

Abstract: Here, the researcher gives a concise hint and summary about the entire research. This includes the research objective, the research method, the findings and the recommendation.

Background of the study/ Introduction: This part of the project details where a research idea is drawn from. There is always that ‘one thing’ that makes a researcher undertake a project topic. The background explains all these and gives a leeway to what the research is up to.

Statement of problem: Just as the name implies, it states categorically the issues that spiked the project topic in the first place.

Scope of the study/ Limitation of the study: Here the project researcher states the limit he/she can go as far as the research is concerned.

Research objectives: This section permits the researcher to state specifically and numerically what he intends to accomplish in the course of the research.

Research Questions: Same way it is called, the researcher raises questions from the research objectives as to issues that require answers to the research.

Review of literature: At this point in an undergraduate research, students are expected to do a sort of exposition on their research. In this case, they are expected to discuss the opinions of scholars and previous researches that has gone before on that topic and related topics.

Methodology: The research details the method he wishes to use to get results for his research. It includes the research technique used, the instrument for data gathering and the likes.

Discussion of findings: Finally, the researcher first presents a tabular explanation of the research findings and explains their significance alongside.

Summary: Like the name goes, this part rounds off the research and very few statements. This also applies to the conclusion.

References: This part of a research contains the list of every research work that has been cited in the course of the research. This process follows stipulated guidelines which vary most times with institutions.

Appendix: Every other attachment be it questionnaire, coding sheet, table or any other thing used in the course of the research is usually attached as an appendix in an undergraduate research.
Education / What Are Ideas For Choosing Research Project Topics In political Communication by iniproject: 2:20pm On Feb 05, 2019
Mass communication is really a broad field of study stretching its tentacles across some other fields of study and focusing majorly on the communication angle. Maybe they never told you, there are areas of communication called health communication, organizational communication, development communication, political communication, and lots more. For the sake of this article however, we will consider one of them which is political communication. You will also get to know some ideas for choosing an undergraduate project topic in this field of mass communication.

Political communication is a sub-area in mass communication. It is an interdisciplinary branch of communication and political science that majors on how policy makers, political marketers, elected officials, public relations officers, political consultants and speechwriters spread and influence peoples’ political behaviors.

Choosing a project topic in this area of mass communication is really no big deal but you have to be really knowledgeable about politics, communication and its dynamics before you would even develop interest in choosing a research project topic in that field.

Below are some common areas where political communication is very visible.

• Dressing as in T-shirts, cap, hats, wrappers,
• Makeup
• Colors
• Speech as sympathy speech, reassurance, promises
• Campaigns, manifestoes, political rally
• Music
• Gifts
• Sponsorships and special intervention programmes
• Accessory branding and lots more

The above listed sub-areas are very subtle ways political actors exercise some level of influence on the masses especially during the periods of election. Back to the main business;

Here are cool ideas for a research project topic in political communication

Branding: Every political party has a name and a symbol with which they are recognized. Like is obtainable here in Nigeria, The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has adopted green white and red as its political colors and an umbrella as its political symbol. That’s just a hint by the way.

A mass communication project student doesn’t need to hesitate to pick a project topic on branding as a form of political communication, well that’s if there is an interest anyway.

Advertising: Politics without the mass media is absolutely dead. Political parties or ruling government cannot possible spread their politics and activities without creating awareness. I mean no poster, they masses won’t get to know who is contesting; No promises, they wouldn’t know you can speak. Politicians use advertising avenues to sell out. So, just look into that too.

Aside the advertising and branding, all the other listed areas are practical concepts that can inspire mass communication project topics on political communication.
Education / The Impact Of Forensic Accounting In An Organization by iniproject: 4:52pm On Jan 23, 2019
The growing demand for forensic accounting is a known characteristic of most companies in the world. Forensic accounting arises from the effect and cause of fraud and technical error made by human. Forensic accounting is quite new in Nigeria as companies have realized that the service of a forensic accountant is needed as fraud cases have substantially increased in number. Forensic accounting is the application of financial skills and investigative mentality to unsettled issues, conducted within the context of the rules of evidence.

It is asserted that forensic accounting as a discipline encompasses fraud knowledge, financial expertise, and a sound knowledge and understanding of business reality and the working of the legal system. Forensic accounting may be one of the most effective and efficient way to decrease and check accounting fraud. Presently, forensic accounting is gaining popularity worldwide. It is been taught as a major course in many educational institutions in various countries. Read more
Education / Five Possible Factors That Can Slow Down Undergraduates’ Project Research by iniproject: 1:20pm On Jan 16, 2019
Interesting, adventurous and seeming stressful moments often awaits students particularly those who have attained their final levels in higher institutions. As a prerequisite, it is expected that each student and sometimes groups present a researched project, written, constructed or otherwise to show knowledge in their field of study. However, this does not come without seeking a ‘pound of flesh’.

Anyways, we are going to be analyzing some factors that constitute challenges that students face as some are likely to face same, anytime in the future. As we are going to discuss, these challenges not only inspire discouragement, it also slows down undergraduates project research in ways in you never know.

Undergraduates’ project research can suffer a slow down for any of these factors

Delayed project topic approval

From the initial stage, getting research project topics approved is a serious concern. Obviously, this factor is fueled by students’ negligence to research structure and poor attitude towards academic research. Moreso, project instructors ensure that the actual routine in presenting project topics is followed and that no two persons have the same project topic.

If you do not want to be caught in this same web, present more than one project topic at a time and follow stipulated guidelines for project topic presentation in your institution.

Lack of research materials/ poor research materials

Secondly, undergraduate project students suffer slow down during their project research when they can hardly source out research materials. Like mentioned earlier, project instructors many times pay attention to details and wouldn’t allow student to engage in a lazy research work.

I have seen a situation where a student had to summit chapter two for more than five times before getting it approved. Each time he turned in a new chapter two, he is instructed to do more research and add more relevant content.

If you wish to jump over this obstacle, press deep into research, study research works that have gone before, and present relevant information.

Financial constraints

We do not all have it at once. Money can be an issue even when you have all that it takes to complete your project. The need for money to type, print, photocopy, spiral bind etc. can become frustrating.

One way to remedy this if you do not have just enough money prior to your final year is, try saving on time for your project.

Poor project instructor

Pray you don’t meet a lazy project instructor. There are many good ones and there are very lazy ones too. Some take too much time to review your work therefore making students wait for a long time before they proceed to the next level in their research.

To remedy this pitfall, always check on them, do not relax at home. Be that reminder angel you need to speed up your project.

The process of data gathering, presentation and analysis

Among others, data gathering processes slows down research a lot. From sharing questionnaires to retrieving them and doing further analysis is time consuming enough for an undergraduate. Infact at this point, some are compelled to hire a writer for their project just because of the last three chapters.

At this point, I don’t even know what to recommend to remedy this case, lol. As a project student, you must enter this rain except you want to outsource.

Education / Techniques Of Pressure Groups In Nigeria by iniproject: 1:51pm On Oct 10, 2018
Interest groups seek to maximize access points or centers of power and authority. They employ various techniques to achieve their shared interest. The specific techniques they employ vary from system to system. Most political science student have established in their final year project certain tactics used by pressure groups in Nigeria, but it has not been exhaustive. Generally, pressure groups may make use of the following techniques in the pursuit of their interests.

Lobbying :Lobbying is the practice of soliciting the support of members of a legislature with the intention of influencing legislation. It simply means attempts to influence legislation by persuading legislators and executives. It may take the form of personal contact and advertisement in the mass media to create a favourable public opinion for certain issues.

Provision of campaign funds: Pressure groups can influence the election of candidates by providing campaign funds. The elected representatives will invariably reciprocate by favouring those groups while in office.

Demonstrations and Strikes: Pressure groups can avail themselves of the powerful weapon of strikes and demonstration. They can resort to strike action, so as to paralyze the machinery of government. The demonstration against the police by Nigeria students over the killing of some ABU students in May 1986 influenced the Federal Military Government to recommend that the Nigerian Police should only make use of rubber bullets to disperse students during demonstration.

Propaganda: Pressure groups can embark on publication in the press bulletins, radio, television as well as hold public meetings to persuade the government for recognition of their interests. They may embark on blackmail to create favourable climate for their claims. In Nigeria, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) used press release, advertisement and television discussions to strongly campaign against the Abortive Bill in the Second Republic.

Presentation of Gifts: In Nigeria, a common feature of pressure groups is to present gifts to policy makers to influence them.
Others include, boycott, refusal to co-operate with the government, revolution among other.
Technology Market / Low Cost Online Marketing Strategies For Your Business by iniproject: 12:03pm On Jul 26, 2018
Small and new business enterprises possibly may not have all the human and material resources they need to market their business to their prospective publics. A number of opportunities may avail themselves but considering the financial state of the new business and the size too, it may not be totally easy to deploy these strategies at the same time.

However, very affordable strategies are available for your business online, at least to establish your brand presence. Apply such moves as follows;

Use social media to do more than just sell your product or service
These days, most companies are engaging with customers on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social channels. But that doesn’t mean they’re doing it right. Just like a person who constantly talks about himself, a company that never stops selling on social media is a bore. Don’t use every post and tweet to tout your product or service. Instead, mix in some links to interesting stories that are relevant to your industry and community, as well as personal posts, such as a fun anecdote about your office culture.

See related topics about social media marketing

Avoid purchasing backlinks.
Link backs to your site from other sites are said to be the biggest rank-influencing factor in SEO. If search is a huge driver of traffic to your site, it may be tempting to purchase backlinks from outfits that practice that particular dark art. Before you do so, be aware you’re taking a risk. Instead, focus on building relationships with reputable websites. You could either look for opportunities to syndicate content on websites or see if you could contribute to their site. Another option would be to do a Google search of websites that have mentioned your company in a post and requesting a link back to your website.

Build a Website
As your marketing budget grows, you’ll have more decisions to make, like whether to build a mobile-optimized website and which paid marketing channels to advertise on. But if you can create a solid foundation, using the above strategies to create content and a website that resonates with your customers in the early stages, you’ll already have a significant advantage over your competitors.

Technology Market / 4 Tips To Execute Great Customer Service by iniproject: 6:52am On Jul 12, 2018
Someone made a comparison between the human body and a business. He concluded that customer service will be at the heart if business were human body. It may not be entirely easy to be at the beck and call of your clients but it becomes really necessary as it has a beautiful way to pay back into your business.

Here are great ways to do a great customer service task;

1. Listen
This may sound obvious, but it can be so easy to just hear clients rather than really listen to what they are saying, or not saying. Is your typically upbeat client a little sharper than normal? Is your client “all over the place” when describing an issue? They may just be extremely frustrated and inconvenienced that they needed to reach out, causing them to be tense; they may be utterly confused with the issue they’re seeing and having a difficult time explaining it. You know your client, so if something is out of character, take it into consideration and tailor your exchange accordingly.

2. Be prompt
“Time is money.” “Time isn’t the main thing, it’s the only thing”. So, be prompt. Don’t let an email or voicemail sit around for hours -- respond! Even if the solution or answer will take more time, just let your client know you are working on it and will follow up with a resolution in due time.

3. Lead the Conversation
Nothing feels worse than being let down, except being let down and it potentially affecting your business. It’s important to take ownership over your interactions, and always follow through until any issue is thoroughly and completely resolved. It is your duty to your clients to match their expectations with realistic outcomes, and your responsibility to follow through.

4. take your time
Take a breath. Maybe it’s a hard conversation, maybe it’s a information that was incorrectly received. Maybe it’s just a bad day! Take a breath. I’ve found by allowing myself a moment before responding, it’s much easier to remove erroneous emotions and be tactful.
Business / Tips From Experts On How To Deal With Stress At Workplace by iniproject: 3:47pm On Jun 21, 2018
It's not news anymore that people do crazy things when they are stressed at work. Sometimes they sleep unconsciously, some could pull their clothes or shoes, drop their bags etc. In some other cases, some individuals would rather be their own boss than to stress themselves over some other persons work place. If you are a boss or an employee, here are few tips to to deal with stress within work atmosphere.

Related Topic: effect of work stress on employee...

Communicate clearly and effectively:
In the workplace, as in your personal relationships, assumptions can be deadly. Learn to ask for what you need, say what you want, request clarification when you are confused. Good communication is essential for increased productivity. And learn to listen.

Don't bear grudges:
You have to let those resentments and the need for revenge go. The more time you spend focusing on the problem, the culprit, the unfairness of a situation, the more time you lose creating a solution. You must learn to let things go. Not because they don’t matter. Not because they aren’t important. And not because what the other person did is OK but, because you are called to be a leader at your post.

For more research topic visit uniprojecmaterials.com

Stay detached:
Detachment is not the same as disinterest. You may be very interested in what is happening, but you cannot allow yourself to jump into a tar pit of drama because everyone else is jumping. You must be the one who stands on the edge, taking a deep breath and considering all the options.

2. THE ANALYSIS OF OIL PRICE SHOCK IN NIGERIA FROM 1970 TO 2014

INTRODUCTION

Nigeria gained an extra US$390 billion in oil-related fiscal revenue over the period 1971 - 2005 (Budina and Wijnbergen, 2008). What has the nation got to show for this? Despite such windfall, Nigeria has an increasing proportion of impoverished population and experienced continued stagnation of the economy (Okonjo-Iweala and Osafo-Kwaako, 2007). The country, like many other oil-rich countries (ORCs) economically underperforms many resource poor countries (Karl, 2004). Her oil wealth has not been tapped to launch her onto economic heights; rather, she suffers from what Robinson, Torvik and Verdier (2006) describe as a resource curse a paradox of poverty amidst plenty resources. Why? One popularly identified bane of the country’s economic situation is the Dutch Disease Syndrome (DDS) the structural economic imbalance resulting from poor management of oil revenue, and perhaps its shocks...Continue Reading
