As for me, guys or ladies should be modest everywhere. What you can't wear in church don't wear outside. It is hypocrisy to say ladies should look one way in church and any how they like outside. Afterall aren't we christians during the week?

Modesty is the key, be it trouser, skirt, gown or blouse, every where everyday, period.

And my own understanding of Deut.22:5 has to do with disguising or being mistaken for the opposite sex. All the proponents of don't 'wear touser' should read further down and answer why they wear two types of material at the same time i.e, cotton and wool or any other mixture. people just isolate portions of scripture to suit their own idea of holiness and self-righteousness and as seun said, to further keep women in bondage.

A close relative had an accident somewhere in up north. It was caused by trailers being parked on a very narrow road and the driver not being able to estimate the speed with which an oncoming vehicle was approaching . The driver went to the oncoming lane while trying to overtake the stationary trailer but an oncoming vehicle was about to run into him headlong. In a bid to avoid being hit, the driver swerved sideways into the stationary trailer and tore the other side of the bus completely. This resulted in broken arms and legs, head injuries and amputated arms for the passengers on that side and subsequent death.

What I'll say is that we should be careful how we criticize and talk about these 'men of God'. If you are not sure of anyone of them, just stay away and keep your mouth from saying the wrong things. Remember, God struck Miriam with Leprosy for 7days for joining Aaron to criticize Moses for marrying a cushite woman(which was even wrong by the way) so I suggest we are very careful lest se face God's wrath.

A simple answer to a question in an interview is causing all this hating. Maybe the poster should have stated the response in the context to the question he was asked or the condition under which he said this.

@Aproko: but the bible says in first corinthians not to be unequally yoked in marriage with unbelievers. Marriage is a spiritual thing and i fell that being of the same faith is a good foundation for your marriage  especially for the days of crises.

Jesus accepted the tax collectors e.t.c in order to lead them to repentance, not just to be buddies with them or become one body with them.

My opinion: it is best to marry from your faith(that's what the bible teaches christians). Different denominations within true christianity is acceptable cos the basis of faith is still the same but in an ideal situation you can both agree on a particular denomination to attend.

I tire oh! we started this process in sept or oct last year. i just hope they call us soon cos i am fed up with where i am but i don't have the courage to leave before i have an option.

please leave the guy alone! it is a free world. if an experienced person is his preference then allow him go for that. As for the girl,it is her choice(i believe) to be a virgin so she should remain that way till she finds someone that prefers a virgin. Different strokes for different folks. there is always someone for each person.

Coloba, it is good you have shared your problem. you must keep a positive attitude cos the moment your state of mind changes you will begin to feel sick. thank God you are a christian! the bible says the word of God is medicine to ur flesh and the word of God say Jesus was wounded for your transgressions, bruised for your iniquity, the chastisement for your peace was on him and BY HIS STRIPES YOU ARE HEALED. You need to know that God does not condemn you cos jesus has paid for your sin so you deserve to be healed. You must confess what God's word has said about your health over and over again, if possible get beads and use it to count until you are so full of that scripture that your body will have to follow!

It works for me and i can't remember when last i was ill. God's word and the name Of Jesus will work for anyone who believes.

holland, just to let you know that you are just giving yourself an excuse to remain where you are. you can't draw conclusions based on just two ladies that you know out of thousands of people that applied.
