England problem is they want to float ball into the box for kane but they don't have pinpoint crossers in the left or right ... Walker can't cross and Trippier is playing out of position

Southgate should sub in walker for Trent and Gordon for foden .... Anytime Trent attacks rice should drop into center back

Disappointed in ordega trying to force her way back into falcons...madam ruth is clearly doing ordega bidding.. i trust waldrum to stand his ground .....is MacLean also trying to force her way in through the back door ?

Southgate is just scared to let this England team play. Playing players out of positions just to keep defensive shape

He only take 1 left back who's not fit to the tournament

I even i have seen her in one of our camps with Jersey on ...... maybe her dad think she'll have a easier path in Sweden
lovewins:

I think they are unstable and really do not know what they want. I'm almost certain if she wanted to play for the Super falcons at some point she would have been called. They didn't want to over commit because of Sweden. Recently there's been a campaign to have her called up again, David Doherty has been leading it and still said yesterday that he spoke to her dad and they her hoping she gets called for the Olympics.

In all, it's not a loss for Nigeria in my opinion, as I sincerely think we have better alternatives and jist need to dig deep. I just wish her the best and hope this works for her.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 7:00pm On Jun 19
Save nigeria as per she's marta or what ? Nigerian is okay in the striking department we are not missing anything.
Deltamani:

Her Father who’s a former Super Eagles player now a Coach in Sweden made the post on Facebook, I had to go check Evelyn page out on instagram, she’s already happy about it..

I think we have lost this one to Sweden already.. The only thing that would save Nigeria now is if they don’t give her any game time at all.. But again she has been trending on the media because of her recent performances, Tigress fans were also everywhere telling her to return from her loan at Milan..

Hmm🤔

You're on point.
EmeeNaka:
Igbos must be very careful. Anyị ga-efi ịsaa n'anya maka na ndịa bu ndị atụọ n'ihu aghọrọ n'azụ.
Some of these statements are simply a way to scapegoat Igbo people. Restructuring of Nigeria is not to be done for Igbo people. It is for Nigerian goods. I don't trust Edwin Clark statement because it might be a setup against Igbo people.
It appear that anytime Nigerian want something, they will put Igbo people in the forefront and after Igbo people have lost their life, they will find solution and then blame igbos for it.
So, I kindly do not subscribe to Edwin Clark remarks where he seem to have made Igbo injustice the centre of his request.
Igboland is currently passing through a difficult phase and we do not want further aggravation.

Which chance was created for boniface in europa league final ? You just love posting nonsense on this thread. Maybe nah nairaland mention dey hungry you
EEGA:
]In a 3-5-2 the both can play as our strikers.

They have both played this position a couple of times.

Our Strikers do not get on the score sheet when called upon.Moffi and Onuachu missed chances.Boniface is just returning from injury. He struggled when called upon in the Europa League Final. He lasted for 45 minutes on the pitch but couldn't convert any of the chances created for him.

Finidi's mistake in our last game was playing Lookman as a LWF instead of AML and LSS.

Lookman for the past 2 seasons has been more effective for Atalanta as a false 9 in a 2-man attack or as an AML or LSS when playing behind the main striker as seen in Atalanta and the AFCON.

In the AFCON, his goals came while playing behind Osimhen while Zaidu as a LWB covered the whole of the left flank with Moses Simon playing as a wide forward by whipping in crosses for the both.We saw Simon interchanging with Lookman but was always playing as a wide forward. This is the reason why Simon has only assists to his name and was without a goal.

Lookman couldn't get a goal on Friday, because he was always wide.He is either crossing for Onuachu or drifting into the box to shoot.

To get the best out of Lookman you must play him in his most effective position as we did in the AFCON or like he plays in Atalanta.

Lookman is better as a false 9,AML or LSS.Chukwueze can also partner him as he has played that position a couple of times in his Villareal days.

If I may ask.Why should you leave your most clinical player on the wings to be whipping in crosses for another striker, when he can easily get you goals and the needed 3pts when he plays just behind the main striker as seen in the AFCON or in Atalanta or when he features as a 9?

Lookman functions best when he is very close to the box.He is a fox and predator in the box.

You realise under peseiro the wingers can barely move forward? That's why simon keep getting games because he can track back
Mujtahida:

Second half was good but Finidi should not phase out the defensive philosophy of Peseiro. He should integrate it

I hope the league body comes down hard on enyimba for their stupidity today, that was a clear foul but i can't tell if the ranger player get back onside before the pass was made . Without VAR it's very difficult for the refree so its 50/50 .... Rangers should also be fined heavily for over crowding

And you think every southern senator and house of rep that will support the bill ?
horsepower102:

These are the types of comments that made we open this thread.

Let me make this clear as possible. There will never be regional government if the North doesn’t think it’s in their interest.

And with the way Nigerian economy is today, I doubt the North will agree to it.

Southerners have to find a way to convince the north that they will be fine under regional government.

If not, we are wasting time with beer palour talk

FIFA provides VAR for all the 2022 world cup qualifiers over 2 legs in second round not Ghana FA of NFF
villagereporter:

Let me remind you, when NRG played against GHA 2022 WCQ, the VAR was provided by Ghana FA and after the match Amugo pickdig said at the post match that NRG will also provide VAR for d return leg.

It was part of the logistics by the hosting FA which NFF failed to do.

You want NFF to provide VAR , should NFF also provide match balls and officials ?

And did I say it is NFF match?
Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by isan(m): 7:06am On Jun 08
Its FIFA match not NFF match
villagereporter:
.

I seriously wondered whether the people in NFF are living in modern age like "the plague in aso rock".

For a match of that magnitude not to have VAR REF shows how the moribund, archaic and derogatory elements in NFF took us for a ride.

But what do I know, I am just a village reporter
