I believe what your friend is referring to is a formal education. Your cousin has acquired an informal, business education which has launched him into the success he enjoys today. Your friend however is correct. If you can afford it, you might as well get your self acquainted with courses that will help you better with your business. It doesn't have to be getting a BSc. Or any of that. Nowadays there are different professional coursesto meet the needs of just about anyone. Street smarts will only get you so far |

How would they "proved" that? lol That's a bit tricky cos it differs for different people. To a large extent, you will know when you should invest in a person or not. Ultimately, at that point when you both connect on a level where you are comfortable enough to trust them with your emotions, you can invest in them. |

Before Everyone gets carried away, that girl is not His girlfriend. He doesn't even know her personally. They met online and related on that level. According to him, he felt she was trying to scam him into giving her money hence his response. We all need to get our facts straight before uploading "true life stories" |

Yeah well said, It's just that most of us have become overly conditioned by this "suit thing",even though there are more than a handful of industries that don't require such fittings or see it as their status quo. wearing a suit or formal wear to an interview is appropriate and gives you an edge over others. When you enter the system, you can then conform to less formal or hindering work clothes. In my opinion, the lady should have been more conservative in her dressing. |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Woman Denied A Tech Job Because She Had Too Much Makeup On by Isk(f): 11:01am On Apr 18, 2015 |
1one:
Quite frankly, there's no such thing as "default dressing", The last two interviews I went for I didn't wear suit but I was looking very decent and presentable, so it's not by suit because I got the job for the latter interview. All industries have their peculiar expectations when it comes to dress codes for interviews, there are some companies for which if you go there wearing suit, your suit will disqualify you from the gate. So there's really no such thing as "That's one thing an employee is supposed to know by default. True but when going for an interview, it is advisable to dress in "safe" clothing. You don't know the interviewer's preference or mindset so why go with the risky and risk not being taken seriously when you can go with safe? Why give someone a reason to fault you for something so avoidable? 1 Like |

Nneka123: should i stop using my vaginal wash? water doesn't really do all the job! ![undecided](https://www.nairaland.com/faces/undecided.png) You should consider stopping that. Water is sufficient in itself to clean you up. Using chemicals down there might have an adverse effect. If you insist on using douches, you should see a doctor first who will prescribe a product for you. 3 Likes |

Politics / Re: Why Buhari??? by Isk(f): 6:34am On Jan 08, 2015 |
davide470: The Anticipation of a news has a more effect than the news itself. There will be "no change" per se, if GEJ still remains and this would directly impact most of the economic indices. Mind you, I am in a sector where the pre-information of a change can make you a millionaire overnight, so it is very needed.
In summary, I don't support Buhari nor anyone, I just want a new President!
How are you, milady? Anyone can be a "Worse someone" I'm good love. How are you? |
Politics / Re: Why Buhari??? by Isk(f): 6:18am On Jan 08, 2015 |
davide470: The Change is what is needed. As long as GEJ is no longer there, I don't care who takes up that seat.
.. This is the problem I have with many Buhari's supporters. I hear them make the same comment ' I don't care who comes in, it just shouldn't be GEJ. I just want change: ANY change.' This makes me question their judgement and wonder if they making informed decisions or sentimental decisions. Not all change is good. The exact thing was said when OBJ was President, and look who we got- GEJ. I'm not in support of any of the candidates. I will just look at their pasts and their plans for the future before I decide who to vote for. I personally think none of them is right for the part but they are the options we have unfortunately. 1 Like |
