Politics / Re: ‘tom And Jerry’ Relationship Between Igbo And Yoruba by Islanders1: 8:11pm On May 31, 2015
omonnakoda:
The problem with you folk is you are very dishonest by nature.Did Yoruba wish Eboe death in the Lagoon? The Oba of Lagos made some remarks. He was widely criticized even by the candidates he was supposed to be supporting. Even Yorubas criticized him.But then Eboes saw that as an opportunity to humiliate the Yorubas and made that a national anthem until many Yorubas turned against them. Another example of wanting to force their will on a people .

The truth of the matter is this Eboes have always borne a grudge against the Yoruba for the civil war that is the bottom line. Te Yoruba as a group believe they had nothing to do with the civil war and it was the fall out of military politics.
But before te civil war the Yorubas had genuine grievances against Eboes' tendency t seek to use their alliance with the NPC in the centre to marginalize Yorubas. This is well documented. that is the background but the Yorubas never discriminated against the Eboes after the civil war especially in Lagos as they could have and as Eboes would do if the shoe was on the other foot

The Eboes have always been the ones in government with the North and the Yoruba in opposition that is the REALITY but Eboes like to pretend otherwise saying Yorubas are slaves well CHECK THE FACTS
Even after the civil war the Eboes were widely accommodated the first president of the stock exchange Udoji was Eboe who was very powerful in government like Asika and 9 years after the War an Eboe was Vice President and Speaker House of Representatives with Yoruba holding none of the key positions.Still NOT ONE Yoruba person ever complained but always accommodate these ingrates who think others are foolish making sacrifices so there will be peace instead it is abuse after abuse. Did Yorubas treat Eboes the same way as Ikwerre did in Port Harcourt? This same Ikwerre they are now trying to claim by force even though they disowned the Eboes

The Eboe man has a deep and profound inferiority complex which he compensates for by arrogance. It has been impossible for him to come to terms with the humiliation of the civil war and accept responsibility that it was an irresponsible misadventure. The only way to deal with this internal self loathing for this humiliation is to transfer it in what psychologists call transference.e transfers this to the Yoruba wit the stupid idea that Yoruba betrayed them. The question is was the Eboe ever a friend to the Yoruba or to anyone for that matter. The Eboe is not even his own friend but he is his own worst enemy.

Word with valid point.

Go and read the head of Buhari’s media team, Garba Shehu's statement and see that their intention is to use the secret asset declaration as the promised "Public Declaration"

I presume given them enough time as you said is like looking the other way when you are being robbed.

You can continue to rant and cry on nairaland on your empty stomach. Insulting Buhari dont even move him, you have done worst during the election and no one cares. You didnt vote for him yet you are making much noise.

The only man that declared his asset publicly did so after 1 month of swearing in, but your own in built hatred is making you go crazy over Buhari that was sworn in 48hrs ago. Take it easy before you run mad, i will surely donate a rope to tie you when it happens. Lmaooo cheesy grin

Am I the only one disappointed with the comical / unserious bunch of tanoids playing the part of opposition on Nairaland? These guys have just affirmed that they are as clueless now as they have been for the last 6 years. The most meaningless / pointless threads have been opened and obviously for the sole purpose of being negative.

The opposition during GEJ's regime were mostly people who initially voted him in with high hopes and expectations but after years of non-performace, got fed up with him, criticised him and ultimately booted him out.

The new opposition, on the other hand, is largely made up of myopic and semi-exposed ethnic bigots, who never wanted Buhari to win, supported cluelessness for 6 years and were content to see Nigeria rot. People with no vision who are now claiming to have expectations are just a joke.

I am afraid this opposition will not be taken seriously and will soon find that they are on their own, as people will get very bored with their empty threads very fast.

Absolutely true. How can a sane person wish his own country downfall and evil cos he hate Buhari. During campaign, they cursed and wish him evil and he didnt respond. Now they are still opening meaningless thread just to criticize him unnecessarily. I see them as childish and jobless kids.

Buhari must declare his assets publicly, his carefully orchestrated "poverty card" is about to be exposed as nothing but sham.

What will you do if he refused to declare it? You can only waste your time and life throwing insult on nairaland. No one cares.

Eziachi, are you trying to say one can build legitimacy through illegitimate foundation?

How can a coup plotter that usurped a democratically elected president and killed our nascent democracy earn legitimacy? If democracy was not allowed to take root, would Buhari be president today? He is now a beneficiary of a system he destroyed and yet you seek to justify and exonerate him, I am perplexed.

Eziachi, I don't want to disrespect you, because

grin grin I dey join you dey yimu my sister. These guys are clowns and they cannot even see how pathetic and emotional they are. Go back to read the OPs original post to note he made it clear he will vindictively highlight every wrong Buhari does yet he makes no commitment , which a genuinely objective person would do, to praise and/or support productive actions of the President.

Is it then not clear this joker is another unpatriotic enemy of Nigeria more interested in hounding Buhari malevolently instead of criticising the new government objectively in hope of a better Nigeria?

@OP , I say bring it on. You are too anti-Nigerian, sentimental, vincdictive and completely without an issue-based mindset to ever be an effective opposition as we were for the years GEJ was President. We did it because we love Nigeria and want what is best for her. Same cannot be said for you and as such you will only deliver jokes here and we will all laugh heartily till you become known as a jester and entertainer not to be taken seriously .
