life in joburg and SA is very fine. Yes there are jobs for professionals. If you ace your studies,companies will want to hire you even before you finish your schooling. The roads are top class,24hrs power supply,environment is clean. Fact is, until you come to south africa, you won't rsalise that the only difference between SA and countries like germany or france is that there are millions of black people in SA. I work is SA and also studying law right now. There are thousands of nigerian professionals here in SA like doctors,nurses, engineers etc.

Okay thank you.. I've registered for the medical aid but I'm at the point of payments the options are
1)EFT
2) mastercard

I can't use EFT cos the bank charges are ridiculously high it's like 30-50% of the actual money when I used it to pay for application fee

About using mastercard ...do you have any idea about the charges.. Or does anyone have an idea?

Guys, I'd like to know what entry level Lab Technologists, CONTISS 7 Level 2, in federal universities earn.

I worked as a Technologist for 3years before converting to academic in University of Nigeria. As a Technologist II, I earned 84k after all the necessary deductions. No hazard allowance was paid to me through out my 3years as a Technologist II.

Wow!!! Want to share this great news with you guys. My parents visas have been approved. They applied on the 1st of February (Visiting visa) Need them to come help me out while i write my exams as Oga has gone back to Nigeria.

Secondly, i got a school fees waiver. I paid the same amount as a Canadian student. The University gave me the privilege and what it means is that i must maintain great grades to keep enjoying the privilege. God is too good. I am so excited.

Thank you for the robust response. My physics MSc thesis paper has been accepted in a peer review journal (Springer) but it is yet to be available online and I am currently putting my second paper together but GRE couple with work (Lecturing at a private university in Nigeria) are hindering its progress.
In addition, how reliable is "www.gregmattoeflnigeria.com" because their registration fee for GRE is 50K which is way cheaper than the official GRE registration fee ($205).

Why annoyed over someone's application bro? You can give an advice and it's up to people to do their thing. One year programs is not automatic denial if you show and do the needful. There are some masters program that are only one year.

@Yasmine04 please, did lake head University request for your official transcripts before offering you admission or did they assess your application using your unofficial transcripts and after offering you admission before registering you submitted your official transcripts ?
