Princealex1: Have being following trend back stage, lol, just an idea though, if I understand d problem of ur rig properly, in 3D maxs, its corrected by adjusting the envelop of ur rig at the location the character didn't deform properly, that's after adding the skin modifier and some aspect don't deform properly, don't know if blender has envelop after skinning a rigged character, if it does, try and adjust d envelop @ d location the character didn't deform properly and see if there's any improvement |

Bravo, you guys rock, men I think I need to sit down and be mentored by one of you, would have love to join the challenge but electricity is presently my best friend. Following trend |

Truman155: My opinion, the stroke size you use for the nose and mouth of both character is too bold, and also I notice the eyes were not blinking, there should be some few blinks especially before a head turn and eye ball changing direction, also the lip sync for the voice wasn't accurate with the spoken words, Nice and funny concert in general but na our 1st lady be that o 1 Like |

chubbyswit: Not yet, have not being animating lately but hopefully soon I would continue and also learn harmony |

chubbyswit: Lol, You forgot to add I also use toon boom harmony, I would contact you later today ![]() |

Oahray: I also expressed an opinion with reasons so am surprise you feel insulted... |
![]() |
Oahray: A young lady uploaded a pics and like every other artist needs to be criticized to improve, I gave my criticism which I assume the artist told note of my view, Instead of finding issues in my view, your life would be a lot better if you give your artistic view to the artist lady (that's if U have any artistic view self) rather than staging oral misdirected words toward me...go buy some sense @ Olx. Scaling a drawing doesn't mean you can't draw, scaling a drawing doesn't mean you need to scale all drawings you practice with, there are many technique in drawing which I suppose you don't apply because U are Jack oahray... So continue digging my comment soon you would discover oil wells in them |

Oahray: Maybe but either way, the result is what matters...if a client gives U a job and you decide to produce a work that shows you are a novice, the client won't care you are learning, they would simple start looking for another artist unless they just want to work with you... |

Donald3d: Sorry boss. The location I intended is Benin, delta, Anambra and Enugu. I didn't construct my message well, I was only saying Lagos, Abuja and PH have more CG artist, was looking for those that reside in the southern part of the country apart from PH. I did saw a contact on your profile, I would contact you though |

Donald3d: Nice article Donald, I must ask, are you a CG artist |

otosa: You are right, rendering is a course in 3D stuff, electricity is a challenge in Nigeria and system with a high processor and graphic card memory is very much necessary But I think the choice of a render engine to use depends on the project being done |

I do have a proposal for any CG artist that can use any of 3D maxs, Maya, blender and cinema 4D that reside within this locations. Lagos, Abuja and maybe Port harcourt have a major dense count of CG artist in Nigeria...I would love to know if there exist any CG Artist within those four states I mentioned for networking purpose |

I rate you 9/10 for playing with your photoshop tools, For design concept, if its a design for a cover picture for a war movie, then I could rate you 7/10. For the design itself, I don't know what score to add as I need to understand the intention of the artist that did the work. All in all, your photoshop knowledge is good |

You are talented but still need to work harder, am guessing the drawing was done with a pencil and painted with pastel (crayon)... Your combination of colours is good but I think you still need to work on your lighting direction to give it a realistic and 3D viiew. also try scaling the picture you want to draw before drawing them, it would give U an advantage of a little perfection, Nice work and keep it up |

mesheikh: Everyone can draw, just that some people are better @ it than others, all in all, my advice is if you want to learn how to draw, buy a sketch pad, a pencil and eraser, then start drawing any picture you can get hold of, don't mind how awful it would look, if you really had interest in drawing, with time and constant practice you would get better, also make friends with people who are good (talented) with visual art and see how they imagine things before bring it into reality through drawing. Hope that help 1 Like |

Hiqhscore: Hmmm, you're trying to be sarcastic and a little bit right on everyone being a suspect including you, I don't know what country you reside in but if you are not in a Nigeria you should know that whenever a Nigerian security officer calls you a suspect, there is no proving you otherwise by what so ever lawyer unless you have some persons in authority to save your head Or you got money to bail out... |

I don't trust information from our security operatives, there's no concrete evidence yet to confirm their claim that those are terrorist, for all we know, they might have force those random folks to dance to their statement, just saying though cause we all know how our security operative behave |

chubbyswit: I would check out toon boom harmony to master the environment, the scene I uploaded is a 2d scene, was done with Adobe flash Pro and Adobe Photoshop, about combining the scene, am working toward creating both a 2d and 3d cartoon and combining them both in a demo ... I hope to learn from your future tutorial on toon boom harmony |

kazuna: Good criticism, every artist needs an honest criticism to grow to his zenith, olaakinyinka is good @ modelling, so modelling a character with good anatomy will show case him better... Am new to 3dmax but not that new sha... The biggest challenge I have now is facial rig, am that lazy that I don't want to use morph target, I just prefer CAT rig cos its faster and achieve same result with bone rigging that's y I need xray cat plugin... |

Chubbyswit, I have toon boom software on my laptop though I don't know how the software works, I also have Adobe Flash professional and use it very well but I don't know which of the software is more better for 2d animation, here is an image of a scene of a comedy demo am working on, I would have finished it but I want to combine 2D and 3D animation in same demo, will publish when am through with the demo

kazuna: Thats bro, would check it out... we must come together to do something wonderful |

on your topic of discussion, I agree with all you've said and would like to add my opinion, from my point of view... Animation industy is still quite low in Nigeria, most animators are self taught and a few were taught in some computer institute, Animation is quite a serious business in developed countries and its also a degree course in some universities abroad. For animators to make good money in Nigeria, just as you've said money need to be invested in it and also animators must come together to create something wonderful... working as individual will take way too long to achieve something and the work will probably not be perfect because it wont be criticise by professional before its launched, also, the animation industry need other fields to foster, it needs good script writers, sound composers, investors/sponsors, producers, studios, voice actors ...etc, all this will limit an individual who is working on a project alone (we can't have all as an individual), So in my opinion all the needed factors must come together and work together to make money in animation and serious money would also be spent in the production process |

reidkrugger: I haven't created a youtube account yet, I want to create about 3 demo first before I launch them on youtube, am not new in 2d animation but new in character animation in 3D though have being lying low since 3yrs now, I agree with you that custom bones rig looks best in 3d character animation but calculating those FK and IK input take way much time if you have a limited time to work on a project, the CAT plugin can achieve same result in less time since the calculation has already being done that why I prefer the CAT rig, you know how 9ja is, 3d animation is suppose to foster several areas of specialisation but here in 9ja you would to learn it all from modelling, texturing, UVW mapping, rigging to animation. am working on a short comedy demo presently with 2d/3d environment. would paste the link on Nairaland when am through with it |
