Good day everyone, when you receive a request for visa letter, Please what are the payments I need to make when sending my passport to the the same VFS center in which I did my biometric.

Good day all, my family name has a hyphen in it as it’s a compound name, after my biometrics capturing, the slip given to me didn’t contain any hyphen and the officer in the center said it was ok, I need clarity on this as the name on the portal is showing my surname without any hyphen.

Politics / Abubakar Maigandi: Fuel Scarcity May Last For Two Weeks by iyke4(m): 8:13am On Oct 27, 2020
National Vice President of The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Alhaji Abubakar Maigandi, has said the scarcity of petroleum products that hit some States may last for up to two weeks.

Most of retail stations in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) were on Monday under lock and key.

Those that were opened to customers, ceased vending before dusk.

The Nation had reported last week on imminent fuel scarcity.

Speaking with The Nation on phone, he blamed the scarcity on the EndSARS protests across the country.

According to him, Lagos, which is the epicentre of the crisis, also harbours most of petrol depots.

He noted the protest have degenerated to an imposition of a curfew, which has brought the haulage of products to a halt.

Maigandi said besides the curfew in Lagos, the marketers are afraid their truck might run into a crossfire and probably being set ablaze.

He explained since the stoppage of haulage of products has lasted for over a week, it might take some weeks to return to normalcy.

The National Vice President, however, said there is availability of stock.

He urged consumers to desist from panic buying.

He said: “You shouldn’t ask why petrol is scarce. Last week, I told you that some depots were not loading products.

“I told you that becuase of the protests our loaded trucks were parked in some yards for fear of being set on fire.

“It may take up to two weeks to normalise the situation. One good thing is that the products are available. So, customers should not involve themselves in panic buying. “

Now I know how one chance works, people kill people in Nigeria over petty stuffs, the rate of poverty and get rich at all cost mentality will be our downfall in this country, this is not the first time I’ve sold something on jiji as well, was just a near death experience..

Yeah like real cash not exceeding 80k max. If we no go atm,no deal. Thank you

Yes an iPhone, plate number? How can I cram it We met at a public place n only changed location when I was waiting on the alert. I didn’t know he alerted the keke guy to come pick us up when we were about leaving, how can I know the keke was an accomplice, I’m just happy that I wasn’t injured and I didn’t lose my car.
Crime / Scammers on jiji by iyke4(m): 4:56am On Oct 06, 2020
Please beware of scammers on jiji; Nigeria has become so bad that i think the future is bleak, everybody is trying to scam each other, with the way things are going, there won’t be trust among individuals. I wanted selling a phone on jiji, posted an ad. A prospective buyer met up with me, he did a fake mobile transfer which reflected on his end but not on mine. Waiting and waiting , I said he should know my place and come get the phone when I received it on my end and we entered a keke to my place since I don’t want unknown people entering my car; the keke on driving to my place, this guy pushed me from the keke on a street with not a lot of people and zoomed off, wanted to kill me just because of a phone. Stay careful most people online want to scam you.. I noticed the scammers are even in liaison with some keke riders because how did the we enter a keke which happens to be his accomplice? All this happened in Abuja, just thank God I wasn’t killed or my car was stolen..

I get his point but with the way salary ain’t increasing and how we import the most important things from outside the shores of Nigeria, I can say that basic things might become a luxury like buying a car, phone, washing machines and so on. All I can say is the poor man is doomed

If you ask the government what the lockdown has achieved, they won’t be able to say it achieved any tangible thing. They should open up the whole economy so things can get back in order.

If you are talking about Abuja and cheap places, you need to mention places like mpape, dei dei and bwari, most of these places the OP are expensive compared to the places I mentioned but at least they are planned. Kubwa is becoming expensive and the hold up is on another level.
