Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Oceanic Bank Vs Etisalat Nigeria by jalo: 11:43am On May 23, 2008
hi all,
this is a very interesting discussion and i think i can say something that u all will benefit from.
i work in one of the biggest telecom company in dis country and i will say that im regreting ever joining them.
telecom is a sector where u will enjoy if u are the xperienced type, but as a young graduate pls,dnt go into telecom because it will give u nothing but heartbreak.i never had dis insight when i was joinning the sector two years ago,i had a similar opportunity to joing gtbank bt then there was dis brouhaha about telecom sector wish i ended up singing with them.
in telecom, there is nothing like promotion and structure and the pay, after six month,ur guys in bank will be getting far above wat u are getting and they have a enough room for promotion cos of their expansion.
let me give u a sypnosis,i have a friend that joinned guinness when i was joining dis telecom company two years ago.late last month,he was enployed into my company at a higher level and a far better pay than myself,u ask me why?cos dis telecom company does not give a damn about trainning its personel but rather enjoy hijacking personel from companies that have traiined thiers, and dont 4get that i have two years experience too like my friend,

join a bank now and apply in two year time to any telecom company, they will employ u nd put u far above ur mate interms of incentives and position.

av fun

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Which Way Nlng? by jalo: 1:31pm On Oct 17, 2007
hi all,
just want to drop the gist that we placed a call to our inside source(a manager in bonny) in nlng today and he authoritaitvely said that the letters have not been released.

also, that the issue of influencing ur way into the company is not true.

so guys relax.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Which Way Nlng? by jalo: 12:14pm On Oct 13, 2007
why?
hi guys,it was shocking to read the post lately cos of all dis bombs flying around from george bush(okoroboy) to d taliban(adrianic, uche),

i av always admire guys on dis thread cos of thier clear cut gentle nature but recently,im trying to withdraw that statemnt.u guys are just making issue out of nothing and i suggest that everybody' opinion and privacy should b respected on this thread.wht dis country needs is brialliancy in individual that will change the lot of dis great country and not the pride that exist in self proclamations of individual success while mjority of the citizenry still suffers,it only shows the fate that await dis great country, pls guys, sheath ur swords and let us give room for progress and positive criticism.

what if nlng decides to put okoroboy, adrianic and uche in d same department?i cant imagine wt will happen embarassed?

all said and done,a frend(tblack) dt works in glo on this thread(anoda nlng hopefull)made a call on wednesday to his inside source and the man debunked the rumour making the rounds abt the letter been released by nlng, so guys i can beat my chest that the letter is not out yet,so nobody should raise ur hopes anyhow.

HAPPY B'DAY GUYS,
IS BEEN A JOURNEY SO FAR ON THIS THREAD.opokonwa,u r one of my favourities on dis thread,u submission always feel my day,i may not be a regular contributor bt my day is neva complete witout reading submissions from kuwena and his fantastic four(kuwena, adrianic, opoks and kenosky), opoks,ur last drop(the sales guy) was so wieghty that i promise to laugh for two days, though u said the first thing(I wonder when Nigerians will learn that you need to build a 'relationship' before selling 'a pinch of salt') nigerians need to learn abt sales,

abt Nlng, well any gist without anyone in dis forum tellin us abt his or her letter is no gist.Even the inside source i av too cannot tell me anything that i will rely on anymore, this thread gives me joy and my work gives me hope,so i guex nothing is missing in my life(life with or withour Nlng in this forum is like life full of insightfullness into various issues)

SO GUYS,I AV ONE WISH TO MAKE,WILL THIS THREAD CONTINUE AFTER ALL DIS BROUHAHA ABT NLNG?
KUWENA AND CO,U GUYS CAN MAKE HOME VIDEO FROM DIS THREAD OOO,ABI?I BET U THAT IT WILL SPREAD LIKE WILD FIRE AND SELL LIKE GLO CARD ABI?NA GLO DEY PAY MY MONEY.

hi all,
aw una dey my people, dis jalo signing after a long leave of absence, miss u all.
the gist in the house needs to be pondered upon,i mean what tolagbaju said ealier about the final 70 that will eventually be selected.i will like to make few pointers that.

it has been confirmed from a reliable source that the number needed is 70 and the deal is already concluded,
the 220 that passed is true and the final 70 have already been selected not by the head of each departments but done by the HR base on quota basis,(220 on merit,70 on quota basis).

all we need to do is to start thinking positively, which i blif as taken us dus far on this thread.

keep waiting and hoping,chao .

hi guys,
jbyno,i guex u av the newest idea this house needs to take our mind off this nlng fever for now.i currently work with glo mobile as business development manager and i studied statistics 4m the university of ilorin.well.talking abt my department in nlng,i specialise in evaluation of lab results and drawing inferences on dis bases,i also help the company to project on the xpected quantity of lng the market would likely consume in yrs to come, and the most important thing here is that the nlng needs fact and figures to survive, dis i will always supply when called upon, i spend to weeks on bonny island collating and evaluating test results and the remaing two wks to analyse and present my findings to the management board in lagos, dis is my regular activity wk in wk out in nlng, my work load too varies wk in wk out.

hi alll,
i guesss kuwena has become a goood mind reader?alll u say and all u wish to have said is wt evrybody is having on there mind too,so i say to u broda,u r not alone in dis wonderland, all we need do is pray fervently for God's will to b done in our life, like wt t-black use to say that,we should not ask God to do it cos he has already done it,we should be thanking him for doing it and ready to smile to the bank come september, i want to follow t-black's blif and i enjoin all to join me in praising the lord for doing it, somebody say amennnnnnnnnnnnnn

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Which Way Nlng? by jalo: 4:30pm On Jul 12, 2007
hi all,
the level of spiritualityin the house has grown inmensely lately and i really commend each and evryone for finding their way back to God.
i want the house to look at it mathematically, total no of candidates for dis stage is like 500,20 are been interview daily which suggest tht the company will spend good 25days on dis assessment.80 candidates are needed(hope thier is nobody in the house dt is still doubtin the number of people they want),with dis,it means that out of evry 20 candidates only 3.2 will be choosen daily, tis is just something for evryone to ponder on and serves as a reminder to those of us that will be choosen evntually that, once we av dis job, remember to contribute to humanity and neva 4get ur God too for takin u dis far in life.
well to kuwena and the like,i will claim the 50th position on the flight to nlng, cos al i need to do is to be on the plane, neva minding the position, i would av taken the last sit but i dnt wana risk it ab?all d best and stay tite, one love
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Which Way Nlng? by jalo: 3:26pm On Jul 10, 2007

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Which Way Nlng? by jalo: 11:40am On Jul 09, 2007
hi all,
kuwena, wellcome from the land of experience and i hope the house will learn not to always jump to conclusion cos it may nt be the way they think.evrything abt lng has been said and i hope there wont be any further accusation of someone witholding info.all we need do now is probably make good use of this incubation period b4 the egg of good news(lng) hatches, all d best and Godspeed to dose waiting for thier day to come, God dey.
