Many people seem to believe the popular misconceptions about securing a good job in nigeria. It has been said that graduating with a First Class or Second Class Upper honours from a reputable University in Nigeria is an indisputable way of securing a good and well paid job in Nigeria. Yes, this is supposed to have been the case  but it has dawn on a lot of graduates with such grades that they are still unable to get the job.

A lot of people also go further to say that ''University graduates easilty get jobs over the polytechnic graduates''. Although this may be true to some extent, bu they seem to have forgotten that this view is not perceived by all employees in Nigeria; and besides, graduating from a  University does not make one superior to a counterpart from a polytechnic. This is because the majot picture for holding on to this belief is not applicable to all graduates from both institutions, but the percentage of qualified graduate from University can be higher because of some factors.

The issue of acquiring a job in this Country is getting out of hand as we have seen thousands students graduating yearly and the plights of the graduates are not felt by our leaders..obtaining a good job is now based on amount of connections instead of merit or how qualified you are. Majority of people could say that ''a graduate from Covenant polytechnic can easily get a job that graduate from University of Ibadan for instance, base on the level of connection he possess''. Why should it be so?

The issue intensifies as days ascent. Our leaders are the ultra-cause of this as they look into establishment of jobs for the youths but rather out different approaach to embezzle tha national income slated to positive change the situation of the Nation.

The problem emanated as a result of our ignorance in choosing leaders whole deed is to brainwash people when campaigning, especially the uncultured. Take for instance, the present Minister of Education. he studied Accountancy and have worked for years in Business Administration and Banking settings.

This is a little advice to Students who are studying under the present situation of the Country. Ensure you eradicate your misconceptions about this subject matter and try to be independent. Nigerian institutions don't train Students to be job creators rather they train students to be job seekers. And on this note, Students need to build themselves creatvely din't wait for the white collar jobs, as they may end up eventually not coming. many undergraduates end up graduating without preparing for their future, one need to be thinking of what to do after graduation, white collar job is not available as it was few years back, please let's try in as much as possible we can to be entrepreneurs on our own without waiting for the government.

Education / How To Become The Most Brilliant Student by Jamesugbes(m): 2:14am On Dec 11, 2016
Source: www.tageducation..com

The greatest downfall of many students is that they build their study approach on a shaky and weak foundation of cramming for tests and writing papers over a a compressed time period. The is not how the brain works best.
This is gambling with your future instead of taking control of your life. Above all, this is entirely unnecessary.
Similarly, the moment you know when you test dates will occur or when your paper of project will be due you must spring into action and develop a plan. Don't wait for the ''ball'' to bounce, so to speak.
IF YOU START WITH GOD, YOU WILL END UP WITH GOD
First thing to do is that you have to be prayerful so as to attain a higher scores in you pursuit as a student for without God, we can do nothing.
KEEP CALM
As a student who likes to be a very intelligent one, you have to obey the rules and regulations in the class, don't talk while you are expected to be quite, keep calm whenever you tutor is around and listen to him/her adequately.
ASK QUESTIONS
As a student, you should form the habit of asking your tutor a relevant questions not irrelevant ones so that he/she can answer you effectively.
THINK CRITICALLY BEFORE ANSWERING EXAM QUESTIONS
Before attempting any exam questions in the hall, think very well because is a result of your thinking that you can recall all you have read from the past.
DO ALL THESE AND HAVE A BALANCED MEMORY FOR QUICK AND EASY ASSIMILATION
1.Do exercises immediately after sleep.
2.Take a good rest, that is, sleep very well for about 4-5 hours before studying your book.
3.Stretch your hands and legs very well to be fit for reading for easy assimilation.
4.Eat a good for i.e eat foods that is composed of thesix classes of food.Drink a full cup of water before eating to ease digestion of the foods being taken. After eating, wait for a while before taking you bath.

NYSC / Extension Of JAMB Result Validity: What Are The Possible Implications? by Jamesugbes(m): 6:47am On Oct 18, 2016
The senate last Thursday in Abuja directed the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), to extend the validity of its results to a period of three years.

The question is, if this is implemented what are the possible implications?

One of the obvious implications is that candidates who scored up to the required UTME cut-off mark but were unable to secure admission in that academic year will still be able to use the result in the upcoming year thereby saving such candidates the stress of writing UTME again.

it will also reduce the financial burden on parents/guardians as the senate president, Bukola Saraki rightly pointed out.

However, the most critical is this, it will likely reduce the number of candidates applying for JAMB every year but at the same increase the number of candidates seeking admission through UTME each year. This is not good considering that our tertiary institutions lack the capacity to accommodate the incresing number of admission seekers.

Let's examine this. If the validity of UTME results gets extended, candidates who have obtained the required UTME cut-off mark for their course will need not apply for UTME in the upcoming year; however they will still joing the teeming fresh secondary school leavers to jostle for admission in the following year. That will surely inrease the number of admission seekers.

Now that seems to be nothing different for what it is at the moment, since some candidates who fail to gaind admission last year, also sat for this year's UTME along side fresh secondary school leavers and currently jostling for admission.

What you've failed to consider is that there are candidates who scored will above 200 in last year's UTME, who were not admitted. Most of them participated in this year's UTME but couldn't score up to 180. This has automatically disqualified tham for admission this year.

Now what if the validity of UTME resullt was implemented last year? That means they are still qualified to apply for admission this year there by increasing the number of admission seekers.

Also if the UTME result validity gets extended, many candidates wiht good UTME scores that fail to secure admission in a particular year will find har to consider programmes like diploma, IJMB, Pre-degree etc. since all they have to do is to wait another year and then re-apply for admission with their previous UTME result. The reson many opt for these other programmes in the first place is due to the stress of preparing and sitting for UTME again.

What's your own take on this and shat are the other possible implications you thinkof?
share with us.

It is quite unfortunate that kogi state workers has being on strike since two weeks as a result of the governent inability to pay workers in the state, people are experiencing lots of hardship as a result of lack of money, workers die shameful deaths because of HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE i.e they are thinking of how to cater for the family and children, children are in their respective shools no money for their school fees so they are witdrawn and are at home with their parents, what is this government turning to this time around? Ogas at the top are not paying salary if they are being giving some amounts from the federal government, hospitals are on strike, what if people are sick, what is the faith of their cure? The federal government should help and tackle the problem that KOGI STATE governemt is SUFFERING, the state officials are not helping matters at all.

Phones / Mtn Is Not As It Is Before by Jamesugbes(m): 5:44am On May 25, 2016
Mtn have successfully gone into exile totally, imagine you calling mtn costumer care service and they will give you fake informations, is it that they do not know what to say or that mtn is tired of employing new and eligible staffs, confusions taking all over the air when speaking with customer care. Mtn should try in as mush as possible they can to fix in their problems before it gets worst.
