Dear white men,
You asked us to wear coats under hot sun,
we did.
You said we should speak your language,
we have obediently ignored ours.
You asked us to always tie a rope around our necks
like goats, we have obeyed without questioning.
You asked our ladies to wear dead people's
hair instead of the natural hair God gave to them,
they have obeyed.
You said we should marry just one woman in the
midst of plenty black angels, we
reluctantly agreed.
You said our decent girls should wear
catapults instead of the conventional pants, they
have obeyed.
You asked us to use rubber in order to
control our birth rate, we agreed.
Now You want our MEN to sleep with fellow
MEN & WOMEN with fellow WOMEN so that
God would punish us like Sodom and Gomorrah?
White folk,
we say Nonsense!!
We don't agree with You this time!
Proudly African,
we say a huge NO to GAY relationships and

Politics / Former Governor Of Benue State Gabriel Suswam Arrested In London. by JayAyede: 8:29am On Jul 03, 2015
Former Governor of Benue State,
Gabriel Suswam, has recently been
arrested by the Metropolitan police
in the United Kingdom for alleged
wife battery.
According to report, he was arrested,
following the emergency call placed by
his wife, Yemisi Suswam, who claimed
that the embattled governor had
physically assaulted her in their luxury
London home.
The erstwhile governor, who was then
picked by the Metropolitan Police and
detained, was then released after paying
the bail, which is in the sum of £5,000.
Shedding light on the argument that led
to Suswam’s alleged battery of his wife,
it was learnt that Yemisi and Suswam
were arguing over his Mistress. The
Mistresses name was simply given as
‘Shidoo’.
It is however unclear if Yemisi will drag
Suswam to a UK court for battering her
but if she does, the ex-governor could
be jailed for about six months in the UK
under the Persons Act of 1861 if found
guilty.
Meanwhile, it would be recalled, Yemisi
was accused of raiding the state’s liaison
office in Asokoro area in Abuja, Nigeria,
with the intent to cart out and steal all
the expensive furnishings.

Politics / Old Article Of How Fayose Predicted That Buhari Will Never Rule Nigeria Again. by JayAyede: 2:50am On Jun 21, 2015
Ekiti state governor, Fayose, yesterday said that, The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Muhammadu Buhari travelled to London during the week for the sole purpose of receiving medical treatment. Fayose who spoke through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, challenged the presidential candidate to come out and swear by the Holy Quran if he did not travel to London for a medical treatment.

He also said he predicted his coming back as the Governor of Ekiti and it came to pass, and he knows for sure that Buhari cannot rule Nigeria again, likening himself to prophet Elijah in the bible who could see visions.

“I wish they can see spiritually what I am talking about that Buhari, despite the hullabaloo will never be president. I predicted my return as Ekiti State governor and I am saying it again that Buhari will never rule Nigeria again.

“After President Goodluck Jonathan, there will be a young element in his late 50s from the North that will be Nigerian president. I want to liken this revelation to the story of Elijah and Elisha. I am the Elijah while my followers are Elisha.”

“I owe it a duty to Nigeria and its people to expose the antics of the APC cabal whose only interest is to seize power to further selfish interests.

“Without doubt, it is obvious that members of this cabal in the APC is trying so hard to deceive Nigerians on Buhari’s health status. That is the reason they have been using photoshop pictures to defend their lies on Buhari’s UK trip.

“First, they used a March 5, 2013 picture, claiming that Buhari was taking a walk in London on Thursday. Later they came up with another poorly cropped picture of Buhari with former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

“The same people who lied in September 2012 that they received a gold card invitation to attend the Democratic National Convention in the United States of America are behind the dressing of Buhari in the garment of lies and I challenge Buhari to swear by the Holy Quran that he did not visit hospital in the United Kingdom last week,” he said.

Politics / Is Buhari Being Slow Or Being Careful? by JayAyede: 5:32pm On Jun 20, 2015
Many of those who gave President Muhammadu Buhari no chance of winning the March 28 presidential election are on a daily watch for where he will falter so they will yell, “Yes, we said it”.

Already, those in this group are worrying themselves sore over the non-constitution of the Federal Executive Council (the federal cabinet). The murmuring in the closets are getting louder on the streets about why more than three weeks after, the Buhari-led government is yet running without ministers, Chief of Staff, Secretary to the Government of the Federation etc. etc.

The PDP megaphones are already making a song and dance over how unprepared and inexperienced the APC is for governance.

Already, some people are  lapping up the comment by Mr President in South Africa, that at 72, there is a limit to what he can do, to mean that he lacks the capacity for either quick actions or overall poor performance altogether.

Even within the APC, many of the politicians eyeing one position or the other, in accordance with the old order, are already pushing media pressure to so-to-say, stampede President Buhari into announcing his cabinet and making more appointments; after all, that is  how they will have access to the famous national cake.

But with the interview granted Arise TV News early in the week, those baying for the ministerial appointment list will have to wait a little longer since Mr President has declared that he is not in a hurry to make the appointments.

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, cleared some of the fog surrounding the said appointments when he explained that not only is Mr President doing a thorough check on the calibre of persons he will appoint, but also that he will indeed look beyond the APC to fill up his cabinet.

But those who think the president can be a little faster in his said checks, argue that ever since he knew he will form the government since March 28, he ought to have fished wide enough for suitable persons, after all, he is believed to have developed a governance template long before now.

And pray, will the president also look beyond the party to name his SGF, Chief of Staff and all such other inner-circle appointees? Why have such appointments not been made?

It is perhaps even more confounding to party chieftains as everybody is left guessing what the president will do. It is said that he has kept the list to his chest like an infant clutching his new toy. Not even the said top-rank chieftains of the party know their fate as far as the list is concerned. It is said that everybody who comes to make any suggestion of what to do and how to do it, only gets a “Thank You” from the taciturn president.

Buhari has managed to present an image of an unusual politician. Like Teflon, he has been able to wash-off all the pressure on him. And Nigerians are eagerly waiting to see those who will make the cabinet.

Those who think Buhari is slow fear that it might turn out to be like a young lady who is so selective of suitors and ends up marrying a deformed crook.

Such people who believe the President can expedite action in his consultations argue that too much discussion brings confusion noting that it is such indecision of where to go that created the crisis in the National Assembly because for too long, the APC was neither here nor there in what position it will take in the leadership of the National Assembly . Not even Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso’s warning could jolt the APC up from its inertia.

On the other hand, those who believe Buhari can take all his time to sift all the chaff from the wheat note that it is the deference to such pressure that often threw up people who aggregated bad name for a government as they help to devalue the government by the way they conduct the affairs of their offices.

Many of such ministers whose first loyalty is to the godfathers who brought them into the cabinet, end up serving other interests other than the overall interest of the Nigerian nation.

All said, President Buhari must draw a balance between his microscopic scrutiny of his nominees, and the need to urgently rev the engine of governance by putting his cabinet in place. The nation in in dire thirst for action given the plundering that it had suffered in the past.

But don't you think it's too early for all these expectations?
Politics / FG To Begin Monthly Payment To Poor, Unemployed Nigerians. by JayAyede: 1:30pm On Jun 16, 2015
NEWS

The Buhari-led government is on the verge of implementing one of its striking campaign promises that it will pay N5,000 each to the unemployed and poorest Nigerians across the country.

The Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who disclosed this at the 10th Year Anniversary Lecture of Crescent University, Abeokuta, Ogun State titled, ‘The Nigerian Economy and the Future’, hinted that the unemployed as well as the poor Nigerians would pocket N5,000 monthly.

Osinbajo disclosed that government is currently evaluating the best ways to collapse existing cash transfer and social welfare schemes to ensure consistency and alignment.

“Once this is completed, we will implement the first phase of this program, using recognized identification platforms and transparent payment solutions.

“We cannot talk about the economy of the future without addressing how we move people out of poverty. One of the most striking promises we made during the campaign was the payment of Five Thousand Naira to the poorest Nigerians across the country.

“About 112 million (66% of Nigerians) are deemed extremely poor, measured by World Bank parameter of those living on less than US$1.25 per day,” Osinbajo stated.
Politics / Police Recover 10 Stolen Rivers Govt Vehicles by JayAyede: 2:46am On Jun 10, 2015
DETERMINED to get back government property looted from the Government House in Port Harcourt, security operatives on Monday evening recovered 10 vehicles allegedly stolen by officials of the immediate past administration in the state.

The vehicles were recovered from two locations identified as Rumuokparali and Trans-Amadi in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

A statement from Government House identified the recovered vehicles as one Coaster bus, two Nissan Urvan buses, two Higer vehicles, one Land Cruiser, one Toyota Hilux Pick-up, one Peugeot 607 Saloon car and two Peugeot 406 cars.

It was learnt that security operatives who conducted the operation were accompanied to the locations by some Government House employees.

The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, had, on assumption of duty, alleged massive looting of government property and facilities by the immediate past administration.

Wike had also taken leading Rivers State stakeholders on a tour of the Government House to see the points where facilities in Government House were either looted or vandalised.

The governor had, however, vowed that all stolen government property would be recovered while those found to have engaged in the criminal act would be made to face the wrath of the law.

A statement from Government House revealed that security operatives had begun the interrogation of those found at the locations where the stolen vehicles were recovered.

Government House in Port Harcourt says the property recovery process will be a continuous process.

Speaking on the development, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Mohammad, told Southern City News on Tuesday that the command was able to recover the vehicles based on information that the stolen items were seen in unauthorised places.

“Acting on information that some suspected vehicles belonging to the Rivers State Government were seen parked in unauthorised yards, the command recovered three Coaster buses, two 306 Peugeot, two Hummer buses and one 306 Peugeot,” Mohammad said.

He, however, pointed out that investigation was still ongoing with a view to recovering more of the stolen vehicles and property removed without authorisation from the Government House.

Politics / Oshiomhole Inaugurates Panel To Probe Suspended LG Boss by JayAyede: 1:39pm On Jun 03, 2015
The Chairman (now suspended) Alhassan Mohammed, in handshake with Governor Adams Oshiomhole, after taking his oath of office

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state Tuesday inaugurated an administrative panel of enquiry on the suspension of Etsako West Local Government Chairman, Hon Alasa Mohammed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Oshiomhole charged members of the panel to look into the immediate and remote causes of the protest which occurred at the premises of the Etsako West Local Government Area.

“On the 22nd of May, there were reports both in the print and electronic media as well as security reports about protests around Auchi but thanks to the intervention of the Nigerian Police and Operation Thunder storm, it was brought under control.

“There were all sorts of allegations behind the protest though some of those involved in it include the leadership of the Student Union Government in Auchi Polytechnic and some other persons. The issue as to who is responsible, who organized the protest, financed it, instigated it is the matter for your investigation.”

The governor added, “We have acted on the basis of these allegations but it remains an allegation until they are proven. Though yours is not a judicial enquiry, yours is an administrative panel which will help us to establish the facts, not necessarily the law about what happened. Was there a protest? Who was involved, who was behind the protest, if anyone was behind it, who financed it, if it was financed and whatever information you think is necessary.

“By way of terms of reference therefore, your panel is expected to examine the immediate and remote causes, actors and the implications of the said protest; to look into the alleged involvement of members of the Student Union of Auchi Polytechnic in the said protest with a view to identifying their possible sponsor and/or those who instigated them and any other matter which could be relevant to helping us understand what led to the protest and how to avoid a future occurrence.”

Governor Oshiomhole noted, “We encourage you to make appropriate recommendations in good faith to the extent that such recommendations in your view will help government to avoid a repetition in future.

“Naturally, we will expect some pressure from certain quarters who might seek to influence your findings but I have had cause to say in different fora that the truth does not require supporters club, it has its leg, hands and head and can stand on its own. So, just help us to establish the truth and with the benefit of your own recommendations, that we can find a lasting solution to incidents like this.”

The governor who expressed confidence in the members of the Panel, thanked them for accepting to serve, believing that they will carry out the exercise as objectively as possible.

Responding on behalf of other members, Chairman of the Administrative Panel of Enquiry, Nosagie Osifo Esq; thanked the Governor for the confidence reposed on them assuring that they will not fail.

Members of the Panel of Enquiry include Nosagie P. Osifo, Esq., Chairman; Barr. Itohan Okungbowa, Secretary while Barr. Osazee Ojo, Mr. Francis Uwaifo and Marcus Onobun will serve as members.

You should know that Lagos state generates it's funds for projects by itself without the FG giving them their entitlement(allocation).
