I totally support Justwise too, I know of someone who was denied visa because the person lodged some money in the account even before the visa application and immediately withdrew the money after submitting the application. He was denied visa and the ECO said he was denying her because of false representation. The account was checked and it was found out that the money was withdrawn, na denial jor.
Just wise, abeg leave him and let him forge ahead, a word is enough for the wise. Experience is the best teacher.

Yes, your tenancy agreement is enough as proof of accomodation. That's what I used for my partner's tier 2 dependant visa, we didn't submit any letter from landlord and visa was approved.

Thanks so much Nomad26 for the reply. Will keep d house posted on the outcome.

Thanks Mr KDK for your response too. I am not sure my husband will allow him to travel alone. He is just 6, my husband won't allow O. It is okay for me to go nd pick him, although I need to do a few things in naija so I will use dt opportunity.
Also, as regards our accommodation in UK, is the tenancy agreement OK for proof of suitable accommodation or do we need to get a fresh letter from our landlord?
Thanks so much.

KDK:

You don't need to go pick him unless you have other more important things to do. He can fly unaccompanied (but use a non stop flight). Airlines have provision for that. Infact, he will be treated like a VIP as it's the airline staff that will see him through immigration at both ends which makes things even easier for you. Just be at the airport to pick him. Like i said earlier, unless you have more important things and money to spend on such a trip, it is not necessary you accompany him.

Fine. Don’t forget to explain in your cover letter, that due to the ongoing school term, you did not apply for his visa then and now that he has competed the school term, it safe for him to come to the UK to continue his school. Good luck.

Thanks so much Mr Ekpotek. I am very grateful for this very vital information. God bless u sir

I don’t think your minus balance or whatever will be an issue here. You have every right for your kid to join you in the UK on a dependant Tier 2 visa. The only requirement is that your kid name was listed in your tier 2 application and you have proof of parentage. The question is will the kid fly unaccompanied to the UK?

Thanks Mr Ekpotek for your prompt response, I am very grateful. His name was included on our tier 2 application and we have his original birth certificate (national population commission), marriage certificate, receipts of school fees in Nigeria, letter of introduction from his present school. We will be sending our coloured copies of brp, visa pages and our biodata pages too. I intend to go and pick him when d visa is granted.

Good morning my gurus in the house. Please, I want to ask a question about my son's visa application to the UK. We his parents are presently in the UK for the past 3months on a tier 2 visa and we did not apply for him then because we don't want to just pull him out of school. Now we want to apply for him but I have a question which I need you to help me out with.
£630 was kept in my husband's account since March for the 90days rule but he withdrew an overdraft from the account and the money went into minus. He has collected salaries and the account is okay now. Please, will the minus sign affect the 90days rule by leading to a refusal? We want to apply for him this June and we don't want this to lead to refusal.

My gurus in d house, Mr Just wise, Mr Ekpotek please I need a response on my son's visa application. We are still trying to figure out how to go about this. Please help, please...

Hello guys just saw this now. I also need to change my date of birth on my Nigerian passport. If I eventually changed it would it affect my traveling especially that I have used this current date of birth to travel to UK. Would I have problems if I want to use the new passport to apply for a UK visa in the future? Anybody who has or have someone e with similar issues should help me. Thank you.

Hello Enubel, you can change your date of birth at Abuja without stress, you just have to go with all D necessary documents. As regards your visa to UK, make sure you apply for ur visa with both passports and explain why you have a different date of birth. Make sure u submit all your supporting documents and explain it. I wish you d very best. I had a similar issue but thank God it is sorted now nd I am presently in UK by the grace of God. Wish u D very best. Cheers

When you originally applied, did you mention/disclose your son on the application?

Yes, we disclosed that we have a 6year old who is studying in Nigeria and that we intend to bring him to UK at D end of the school year. We disclosed that my son is with my parents and we included their names and contacts on the section that asked about my parents' data.

You need to check the dependant financial requirement to get the accurate answer for this..when i get the link i will drop it here.

The documents like his birth certificate, your tenancy agreement/mortgage paper, financial requirement proof, marriage certificate. I'm not sure if a 6yrs old child needs TB certificate(read up on that to be sure), data page of you and your hubby's passport etc all need to be submitted at ikeja.

Thank you big boss just wise for your response. But is it the original documents that we are going to submit at Ikeja? All the originals are with us here in London, we r at Middlesex to be precise sir.

Good afternoon my beautiful people in the house, Lexusgs430 I hail sir and my fellow brothers and sisters. Please, I am here again to ask a few questions as regards my son's visa application to the UK. My husband and I are presently in UK but we relocated from Saudi Arabia and my 6hr old son is schooling in Nigeria as at when we applied in Saudi Arabia in February. Presently, we are planning to apply for his dependent visa by July which is the end of the school year. Please, how do we go about this? My husband is d main applicant, do we have to keep another maintenance fund for both my husband nd my son or my son alone? Also, what supporting documents are we to submit at Ikeja on his behalf or are we send the supporting documents from our present location in London to sheffield? Please, I need more explanation on this as we don't seem to see any full explanation about this on the gov.uk site. Thank you and God bless u all sirs and mas.

You are welcome. You can get Insurance companies in some major cities in Nigeria. I can't say any address in particular, Google can help you out with that.

I do not know the requirement of Warsaw University of Technology, but many universities abroad are okay with C's. You can write the school International Office for more info.

Thanks so much Ggetter50, I will do just that and will get back to you. I don't want to waste money ni o. As par the insurance companies too, I will have to Google to find which one will be suitable.
Thanks so much.

It's a private University, but I think they are standard as they have agreement with many universities and companies around the world. But be sure to check their location. And about insurance, you only need that during your visa application at Polish embassy. Once you tell your Insurance company that you need Insurance that covers minimum of 30,000€ which is valid for Schengen countries, they will understand you better. The price ranges from 6,000 to 20,0000Naira, depends on how many month of Insurance you purchase.

Thanks Ggetter50, please where do I get this insurance companies in Nigeria? Also, I want to ask a question, is it compulsory for me to have As in my o level? If I have C6 in English maths physics chemistry do u think I will be considered for admission at Warsaw University of Technology for bsc computer science

What about my own maintenance? Do they still expect in to be in the account together with my husband and baby maintenance? I am already in UK since 2 weeks ago and I am trying to bring them in.

You will need to have ur maintenance plus ur hubby nd child's maintenance together in your account for them to be granted. Remember, the required fee has to be for 9 mo this each for the three of you. Wish u D very best.

Thank you so much, I am very grateful. Will do just that.

Does your marriage certificate have your DOB? Does any of certificates required, have conflicting dates?

DOB on all my documents are the same except my marriage certificate. Though year of birth was not written on it except my age and my husband's age. Hello everyone, is a certified true copy of my marriage certificate enough for my tier 2 visa application? I have a date of birth error on my marriage certificate which I want to correct at the Ikoyi registry but I was told that I will be issued a certified true copy of the marriage certificate. Do I have to submit both the original marriage certificate and the certified true copy of the certificate to the HO? If I submit only the certified true copy without explanation what are my chances of getting the visa? I am applying with my family.
Please advice me on what to do.

Hello everyone, please I want your candid advice on my spouse visa application.
I want to apply for a certified copy of my marriage certificate at the Ikoyi registry, can I use it for my tier 2 visa application as I have a date of birth error on my marriage certificate. I was at the registry and was told to go and effect the change from the church where I got married, then swear an affidavit before bringing the copies for the processing of the certified copy of the marriage certificate.
My question is, if I get this certified copy, can I use it for my tier 2 visa without presenting the original? Do I have to explain the error on the original marriage certificate? Do I have to submit the original marriage certificate too? I need your candid advice as I am about to apply for my visa. Thank you all

Please, what's the process of getting a sworn affidavit on correction of date of birth error on international passport, like you said you did?
Thanks in advance.

Teedips,
Hello and how r u doing? You can go to that high court at Ikeja around police College. You will find people there who will help you out with the sworn affidavit for correction of date of birth on international passport. It will cost you like 3 to 5k. I did my own affidavit about 2urs ago and it was 3k.so just keep between 3k and 5k for it.
Cheers!
