Celebrities / Wizkid Is Right About Don Jazzy by jjmekwa(m): 8:34pm On May 01
I told somebody yesterday that this whole drama between WIZKID, DON JAZZY & DAVIDO is just about Wizkid intentionally seizing the moment to bare his mind after dragging some serious dry trees.

Whilst some may think it’s just a regular PR stunt, others who are quite afloat with the personality of the Ojuelegba crooner are of the belief that he is merely enjoying himself as he only wanted to catch some cruise with the feelings, personality and the public over the names of those he brashly mentioned directly or otherwise.

The general public including Afrobeat sensation David Adeleke popularly known as Davido is of the opinion that BigWiz reason for his recent jab was just to magnet attention whilst he picks on the sensation to release a new song. Proof is OBO tweet asking Wizkid to ‘drop the gbedu’ but far from that, Wizkid is just in an IDC (I don’t care) state of mind and is simply interested in playing with feelings.

Eventhough Michael Collins popularly revered to as Don Baba J (Don Jazzy) has contributed immensely to the growth of the Nigerian Music Industry especially for about 2 decades if not more as he designed and sustained the growth of several Nigerian music superstars ranging from D’banj to Wande Coal, Tiwa Savage, Dr. Sid, DPrince, Kayswitch, Reekado Banks, KOREDE Bello, Johnny Drille, Dina, Ladipoe, Rema, Ayra Starr, Ruger, Crayon, Boy Spyce and so on, one cannot deny that from Mohit Records. Don Jazzy has so far maintained his good knowledge of the entertainment and arts business as he successfully emits Mavin.

But let’s be honest in spirit and in truth…
Is Wizkid really wrong when he called Don Jazzy an influencer? NO! He was not.

The society is not just pleased with the tone of that commentary as it is surrounded with an intent to slug the mystro, one could perceive the carefulness to commonise the label boss as his purpose was to knock off Don Jazzy with claims that he was answering to a fans question on working with Ladipoe.

Wizkid intentionally wanted to attack for reasons best known to him, he knew it will be escalated, he knew he will be attacked but does Wizkid care? You and I know that Wizkid never cares, he has a degree in silence and for him to have spoken, he really wanted to throw jabs and it is never aimed at raising the dust to give way for his upcoming works, Hell No!

When Wizkid promoted Shalipoppi and said even if he coughs on a track, he will dance to it, was it for a new song? Remember when he sang to Yung Duu debut single and went on to gift a whopping 20million Naira to Lagos Hypeman God Only, was it for an upcoming tour?

Yesterday, I was on the phone with an associate as we dissected Wizkid actual purpose and I asked him the above questions. He believes Wizkid has upcoming works he stylishly wants to propel and I was quick to inform him that Wizkid is not a clout chaser. If he was, the jabs will have been understood as a PR tactics for what is coming and that him attacking Nigerian acts means the effects ends in Nigeria. I added:
If you and I will be sincere, we both know Wizkid doesn’t really need the Nigerian audience to thrive in his project as he currently enjoys a global embrace.

He again said it could be geared at registering himself and Davido to the people’s consciousness for the sake of an upcoming joint tour, I told him I don’t even know how Davido got into the picture and that if I was him, I would have silenced Wizkid jabs targeted at me even with the release of the video of me kneeling to beg a lady with a perfect silence instead of the response as people knew his nature for constant romance with publicity.

Finally, aside Don Jazzy who we all know how much of an impact he is to the Nigerian and the African music industry, we cannot deny that Don Jazzy is an influencer, global influencer yet humble as he has done even more for individuals in other sectors of the entertainment industry especially, the skit makers in the content creation market, aside agreeing to feature in skits as a means to grow the makers, the skits and their makers enjoy massive appeals when Don Jazzy influences (boosts) their works with his posts and mentions across his Social Media platforms not forgetting music artistes whom we constantly see play their yet to be released works to for his perspective, correction and nod.
The role of this great influencer (Don Jazzy) is priceless

Meanwhile, don’t expect any collab single, album or tour from Wizkid and Davido anytime soon, both enjoy constantly intentionally creating a buzz inform of squabbles, they know Nigerians salivates for their duet and an urgent duet from both parties will hasten their see-finish.

Foreign Affairs / How Liberian President George Weah Changed The Life Of A Good Samaritan by jjmekwa(m): 1:04pm On Oct 27, 2022
Last year, a teenager in Liberia, Emmanuel Tuloe, 18, made international headlines when he found $50,000 and returned it to the rightful owner.

President George Weah wrote him an extraordinary letter of encouragement.

Dear Emmanuel:

I have heard in the media about an extraordinary act of honesty on your part.

It is reported that you recently found Fifty Thousand (US$50,000) United States Dollars and approximately One Hundred Thousand (LD100,000) Liberian Dollars which had been lost by a Liberian businesswoman who was passing through Nimba on her way to Guinea to purchase goods for her business, and that when she announced her loss on the local radio station and made an appeal to the public for the money to be returned, you willingly located her and gladly returned her money to her intact.

I am very proud of you for this exceptional sense of morality and good citizenship, and I hope that this will serve as an inspiration to all of our citizens, especially to our youth. You are a prime example of what the Bible teaches us in Proverbs 22:1, that a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.

This honest behavior on your part is even more amazing when seen against the backdrop of your personal circumstances. I am made to understand that you are in the 7th grade with no money to continue your education; that you have no means of income except to occasionally borrow a motorbike from one of your friends when he is off-duty in order to earn a few dollars to sustain yourself.

You are a Champion, Emmanuel, and we are all very proud of you. Although It is often said that virtue is its own reward, I believe that you should be additionally rewarded for this virtuous act, which brought miraculous rescue and relief to a hardworking businesswoman.

Accordingly, I want to inform you that at the next national investiture ceremony, you will be recognized and honored with one of Liberia’s highest Orders of Distinction for your honesty. Additionally, I am hereby presenting you, herewith enclosed, an amount of Ten Thousand (US$10,000.00) United States Dollars, as well as two (2) brand-new motorcycles for you to improve your circumstances and sustain yourself financially.

Finally, and more importantly, I am offering you a scholarship for you to attend any school of your choice in Liberia, all the way to the level of a Master’s Degree. This scholarship is personal from me and my family, and will be valid whether or not I am President of Liberia.

Please accept my personal congratulations.

Sincerely,

George Manneh Weah

Politics / 2023: I'm Competent But Not Desperate To Lead Nigeria - Ouk by jjmekwa(m): 4:32pm On Jan 19, 2022
Chief Whip of the Senate and Former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has declared ahead of the 2023 general elections that though he is ready for the campaigns and capable to lead the country he is not desperate to become President.

Fielding questions from journalists at the National Assembly on Wednesday, a day after he visited President Buhari at the Presidential villa on Tuesday night, the Senate Chief Whip emphasised that the Presidential contest will be the collective decision of Nigerians and the zoning arrangement of the Political parties particularly his party the ruling All Progressive's Congress.

The former Governor however maintained that the Southeast region was overdue to Produce the next President of the country, he added that there were only two zones yet to produce the President which were the Southeast and Northeast geo Political zones.

Kalu stressed that his visit to President Buhari was a usual one adding that their relationship has spanned for years before he became President. He disclosed that their discussions were centered on national issues with regards to security, electoral laws and the welfare of the country.

He said "This is not the first time I'm going to see the President. People usually go in the afternoon but I went in the night to avoid the press.

"I go there regularly. It's a family affair and I went there to discuss national issues with regards to security, well being of our country and the issue of the electoral law and the discussion was very fruitful.

When asked if he informed the President of his Presidential Ambition.

He responded "Has the party zoned the ticket to the Southeast? It's only when the party zone is officially to the South. I have said before that there are only two zones that have not been President : the Southeast and the Northeast. Once it's zoned to the Southeast I have the capacity and the capability I will roll out my campaign and rock like a hurricane".

"It's overdue for an Igboman to become a Nigerian President, I believe the Southeast should produce the next President and it’s going to happen ''.

Kalu said those against the Igbos from producing the next president of Nigeria were not being fair to the South-East and North-East geopolitical zones which had never produced the President since 1999.

He said those already pushing are not being fair to the feelings of Nigerians.

"They are not serious. A serious minded person will like to be fair to Nigeria, to be fair to the society and be fair to the atmosphere because this party is not owned by me or by you the press people. It is only APC people that can decide where the party ticket will go,If they zone it to the Southeast I have all it takes to make a good President".

The Abia North Senator said that he would pursue his Presidential Ambition with other geopolitical zones of the Nation, while stressing that he will commence Nationwide consultation at the right time.

Responding to questions on the APC's forthcoming February 26th convention Kalu expressed optimism that the exercise will be raucous free saying that the outcome will make Nigerians proud.

When asked about President Buhari's body language to the contentious electoral act and 2023 Kalu responded saying "He's body language is where other Nigerians are . His body language is for Nigeria and Nigerians."

Recall that Kalu's declaration came barely 24 hours after former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with President Buhari to express his interest in the top job. The Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi had also met with Buhari to declare his ambition to take over from him in 2023.

Celebrities / Olamide Album Uy Scuti Proves He Is A God by jjmekwa(m): 4:52pm On Jun 19, 2021
This album is a massive display of creative maturity that shudders on his rhythmic & poetry ability, it drives listeners from where he came to where he currently is.

Though every material from the YBNL Boss has always being off tha hooke, this current album seem to be most articulate for me with short yet distinct tracks that weds the street and elites.

The UY SCUTI album further unarguably places him atop as his consistency stamps that he remains a god in the Nigerian rap community.

With a number of 10 Tracks on the album which includes: NEED FOR SPEED, JAILER, ROCK, JULIE, ROUGH UP, WANT, PON PON, CUP OF TEA, SOMEBODY, SO MUCH MORE plus PETTY which is a bonus track, UY SCUTI also saves as introduction for 3 out of the 4 featured acts on the album, they include: JAYWILLS, LAYYDOE and FAVE with PHYNO featured on the track 8 titled SOMEBODY.

This album is massive.

Celebrities / I Composed & Released ‘oniduro mi’ 7years Ago – Evang. Tolu Adelegan by jjmekwa(m): 2:02am On Jun 15, 2021
In the hit of the current trend that engulfed the gospel music industry over the weekend between Popular gospel music sensation Tope Alabi with the purported owner of the hit worship single titled ONIDURO Adeyinka Alaseyori, Evangelist Tolu Adelegan finally hits the public to state that she is the actual owner of the song.

Recall that the Adeyinka Alaseyori became an instant sensation after Tope Alabi rebuffed the song as she told audience in a recent event she performed that ONIDURO is a wrong song which does not actually translate the essence and value of God, she included that her God is morethan such adulation.

She further admonished singers to be careful when singing songs of the spirit as certain songs as this does not edify the spirit or put the spirit of God to action, she finalised that this is what the spirit of God told her, this remark met with mixed reactions as Nigerians expressed their views about Tope Alabi’s opinion which majored in people feeling bad for such public comment.

While Nigerian gospel music lovers continued to express their opinions, Evangelist Tolu Adelegan has surfaced to state that she is the actual owner of the song and that ONIDURO was composed and released as the hit and second track off her IKEDE EEKEJI album in 2014.

Evangelist Toluwalase Adelegan added that the song came to her as she was led in the spirit through the word and will of God as contained in her Bible, she added that individuals gain inspirations from different means but hers is directly from Jesus Christ whom is her focus, depender, stand, father, leader, benefactor, hope and guarantor.

She finalised that she composed ONIDURO in a point in her life when she passed through series of challenges, she adds that the song was appreciated by all and even singers as it also received astounding remarks till date.

Politics / Recall All Willing Ex-service Men & Women To Service - Atiku Abubakar To Buhari by jjmekwa(m): 2:07pm On May 04, 2021
The Ex Vice President and PDP 2019 Presidential Candidate has taken to the media speak to the nation on the need to fight terrorism to a standstill, He also advised the Government to recall all willing Ex-service men and women inother to join in the fight against insurgency, He included that this is a national issue and all Nigerians must be involved in the war against terrorism with supports to the Government. He wrote:

The security situation in Nigeria is deteriorating rapidly and ordinary Nigerians are living in fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones. Nowhere seems to be safe. Farms, markets, schools, homes, mosques, churches, and urban areas are all affected. Terrorists are spreading their areas of operation beyond the Northeast, into far flung areas as far as Niger State in the North-Central.

That is merely hours from our Federal Capital. Now is the time for decisive leadership and I call on the Federal Government to consider recalling all ex-servicemen and women, who are willing to return to service, and take the fight to the insurgents, until they are rolled back and defeated. As a former vice chairman of the National Security Council, I am aware that Nigeria has a sizeable population of military veterans, who are alive, and were trained locally and internationally, and it serves no purpose to allow these valuable national assets lie fallow when there is an existential threat to our nation. Call them up. Immediately. Mobilise them to the field.

The time has come for us to put in all our effort and stamp out this menace from our nation. The men and women of Nigeria’s armed forces, whether serving or retired, who restored peace to Lebanon, Liberia, Sierra Leone and São Tomé and Príncipe can, and should be used to do the same in the motherland. But they need arms and ammunition. It is incumbent on the federal government to develop a more efficient means of sourcing for weapons and delivering them to the troops at the battlefront.

A situation where terrorists and criminals are better armed than our troops on the battlefront is intolerable. We need to urgently improve the conditions of service of the men and women of our armed forces. And not just the government. The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, working in concert with primary mortgage institutions, ought to offer the men and women of our armed forces special concessionary mortgage loans so they can own homes.

The private sector should also be encouraged to offer discounted services to them in appreciation of their services. There is no sacrifice greater than to lay down your life for the motherland. When our military is properly rewarded, they will fight more valiantly and gallantly. A nation that rewards courage is one that avoids outrage.

Politics / God Showed Me Buhari Will Stabilize Nigeria — Pastor Tunde Bakare by jjmekwa(m): 1:06pm On Apr 05, 2021
Tunde Bakare, the Senior pastor of Citadel Global Community Church, has disclosed why he supports President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking in a state-of-the-nation broadcast on Sunday, April 4, the clergyman said, “After the controversial and divisive 2011 elections, as Nigeria drifted along with sectional undercurrents and the nation sought a unifying force, some of us prevailed on General Muhammadu Buhari not to quit the stage but to take back his words and form a coalition of the best of the North and the best of the South to salvage our nation.

I must admit that I played a critical role in that mission. God had shown me in a vision that GMB still had a role to play in stabilising Nigeria.”

Politics / 2023: Orji Kalu Tops Chart As Favourite Igbo To Take Buhari's Seat by jjmekwa(m): 1:33pm On Dec 30, 2020
The race for the 2023 presidency has been gaining prominence in recent political discussions, though many analysts and political experts have argued that it is too early to draw attention to where the next president will come from.

The ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), is likely to zone his presidential ticket to the southern region after the expiration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure.
This has apparently sparked off interest from the southwest and southeast, with Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a socio-political group, leading the front in the demand for an Igbo man to take over the helms of affairs when Buhari leaves.

Although prominent individuals including APC national leader Bola Tinubu and Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state have been rumoured to be eyeing the top seat, there has been a profound argument that since Yoruba has produced a Nigerian president, Igbo should take over for the sake of justice and fairness.

As permutations continue to prelude the 2023 race, Zamfara Reporters highlights 5 people likely to succeed President Buhari should APC or Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) decide to zone its ticket to the southeast.

1. Orji Uzor Kalu

A former governor of Abia state and currently the Senate chief whip, Senator Kalu is one of the leading candidates from the southeast considered to be fit for the biggest office in the country.
In fact, youths from the southeast and other parts of the country have been drumming support for the APC chieftain who is also one of the leaders of the Igbo race.

2. Chris Ngige

A two-term current minister of Works and Employment, Ngige is one of the southeast leaders in the ruling party.
He has served as a former governor Anambra and was elected senator for Anambra Central constituency in 2011.
A senior cabinet member and ally of the president, Ngige may be tipped to take a shot at the respected seat in the country drawing from his vast experience

3. Governor Dave Umahi

The current governor of Ebonyi state just defected to the ruling party in what many people including Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state have attributed to the 2023 plan.
A chairman of the Southeast Governors’ Forum (SGF), Umahi has always been recognised as one of the people capable of succeeding President Buhari in 2023.

4. Rochas Okorocha

Former governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, is one of those set to benefit should the southeast region of the country be eventually considered to take a shot at the presidency in 2023.
The former governor was on Monday, November 16, urged to vie for the 2023 presidential ticket by a group, Igbos for Rochas Movement 2023 Presidency (IRM).
During a visit to his home, IRM national coordinator Jeff Nwoha stated that the former governor’s resume, after careful deliberations with other leaders, fits the presidency.
The former governor is an ally of the president and he is considered to be in the race.

5. Peter Obi

Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, is one of the top candidates considered for the presidency from the southeast.
An experienced businessman and economist, Obi is the PDP vice-presidential candidate during the last general election, running with former VP Atiku Abubakar.

Meanwhile, as the conversation on the 2023 presidency continues to gain prominence amid sundry calls for the next president to be of Igbo extraction, two Anglican and Catholic bishops have pitched their tents with Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
This is as Anglican Archbishop on the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Rev Alexander Ibezim and Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Paulinus Ezeokafor declared that an Igbo man should be allowed to rule the country.

Politics / Olusegun Obasanjo Father Is From Anambra State & Mother Ogun – Sen. Adefuye by jjmekwa(m): 7:23pm On Dec 23, 2020
Senator Anthony Adefuye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Tuesday said it is the turn of the South-West to produce the President of Nigeria in 2023 as the only region that is yet to do so since the return of democratic governance to the country in 1999.

Speaking in an interview with INDEPENDENT, Adefuye said those clamouring for the Presidency to go to the South-East are wrong as the region produced former President Olusegun Obasanjo who was in power from 1999 to 2007.

According to him, Obasanjo is an Igbo man because his father hailed from Anambra state while his mother is a Yoruba woman.

He added that while in office Obasanjo concentrated most of his efforts towards developing the South-East, including appointing five Ministers as well as the Central Bank Governor from the region while he completely abandoned the South-West.

He said: “I believe that in 2023, the APC will zone the Presidential ticket to the South. When it comes to the South, then it will be narrowed down to the South West because that is the only region that has not produced the President since 1999. It has always been the North and the Igbos”.

“Some people may argue that what about Obasanjo? Obasanjo is not a Yoruba man. He is an Igbo man from the South-East. His father is from Anambra while his mother is a Yoruba woman. And that was why during his tenure, he completely ignored the South West. For example, throughout his eight years, he did nothing on the Lagos- Ibadan expressway.

“But he did a lot for his people in the South-East. He picked five Ministers from there and even appointed the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria from Anambra where his father comes from.

“So, it is right for the South-West to demand for the Presidency in 2023. What we should be doing now is working towards 2023 to ensure that the Presidency comes to the Southwest. The Southwest has never produced the President before,” he said.

Politics / Imposition Of Candidate On Ohaneze Ndigbo: Where Is The "Oha" In Ohaneze Ndigbo? by jjmekwa(m): 1:34pm On Nov 25, 2020
In 1976, the Ohaneze Ndigbo was founded from the ashes of the disbanded Igbo National Assembly (INA), with the sole aim of representing all Igbo sons and daughters both home and abroad.

The Igbo nation, still smarting from Nigeria-Biafra war setback saw the inescapable need to catch up with other regions, hence the remarkable efforts of notable heroes like Dr. Francis Akanu Ibiam, Prof. Ben Nwabueze, Dr. Pius Okigbo, among others.

Since the formation of Ohaneze Ndigbo, there has been several ignoble attempts, by those who fear that Igbo unity is dangerous to Nigeria's reign of impunity, to scuttle all unification efforts of Ndígbo as manifested in the military government's dismantling of Igbo National Assembly (INA), having realized that the Igbo nation strives on Igwebuike, a core Igbo value and philosophy that harps on the strength of togetherness.

The failure of the coordinated mission to dismantle the Ohaneze gave rise to the neocolonial and despotic crave to externally control her leadership structure through the cross-regional meddling in the hitherto democratic processes of choosing the Ohaneze leaders, which they have succeeded in doing and having hijacked the process, many Igbo have had cause to disregard Ohaneze's claim of being the Igbo mouthpiece.

There's an Igbo adage that states "oke nọ n'ụlọ gwara oke nọ na ama na azụ nọ na ngiga" loosely translated to mean that "the rat at home informed the rat outside that there's a fish on the rafter". This has continued to play out in the cowardly habit of the Igbo political elite who continue to run to the North for recognition, protection and mentorship, thereby informing all who cares to listen that AlaIgbo has a price, that AlaIgbo is penetrable, and that there are willing conduits for the perpetuation of the annexation of the caliphate's feudalistic ambitions. These "boy-boy Igbo politicians have continued to demonstrate, now and again, that we belong to different political and socioeconomic worlds with them; a world where our aspiration, pride, ingenuity, pursuit of happiness are considered nondescript so long as it doesn't cohere with that of their paymasters.

They have positioned themselves as willing tools in the hands of northern oligarchs in Nigeria and even beyond to demonstrate that WE CAN'T BREATH without the toxic oxygen of external godfatherism, exemplified in their continuos running to the North for turbaning prior to contesting for elective offices in Igboland, wherein they come to do their masters' biddings.

The Ohaneze election is around the corner again. Igbo sons and daughters are expected to elect and have new leaders that will champion their sociocultural affairs for the next three years and Imo State is being tipped to produce the PG this time around, hence we are not surprised over the gathering of the wolves and hyenas in the caliphate extension called Imo Government House where anti Igbo decisions are taken.

A few days ago, the visiting governor of Imo State with other caliphate poster boys in their usual delight of doing their masters' biddings conspired to present Ambassador George Obiozor, one out of the three or more contestants and whose track records we will lay bare soon, as the CONSENSUS candidate.

Consensus?

It is worthy of mentioning here, in case they have forgotten, that in Igbo sociopolitical space, no word like CONSENSUS exists without the consultation and input of the OHA, especially for a strategic body like the Ohaneze Ndígbo.

So we ask in clear terms:

Who did Mr Hope Uzodimma consult?

Where did the consultation take place?

Who convened the meeting and on whose authority?

On what authority is Mr Hope Uzodimma, Engr Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and co speaking for the OHA?

Since there are other candidates, is it right for the imposed governor of Imo State to gather his ilk for another round of imposition?

Does the despotic production of a "consensus" candidate have a constitutional bearing in the Ohaneze?

If Ambassador George Obiozor is not a compromised man, why allow himself to be so endorsed in such a questionable manner by men whose claim to Igbo leadership is contentious?

Is Ambassador George Obiozor aware that if he wins, he'll remain answerable to the dictates of the men who hand picked him?

And lastly, where is the Nwodo-led Ohaneze Ndígbo in all of these?

Our position:

Until these questions and others are answered, Mr Hope Uzodimma, Engr Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and others should desist from this unholy and ignoble venture. They should, if at all they want to do something worthwhile, organize a free and fair primaries election where the winner becomes the consensus candidate of the OHA. Anything else aside this is a No No for us and we join the IYC to pass a vote of No Confidence on any of such processes and their shameless organizers.

Enough Is Enough.

Politics / We Must Exit This Recession With Precision - Atiku Abubakar by jjmekwa(m): 9:26am On Nov 22, 2020
It is with a very heavy heart that I received the confirmation that for the second time in five years, Nigeria has entered into another recession. Heaviness of heart, because this could have been avoided had this administration taken heed to patriotic counsel given by myself and other well meaning Nigerians on cutting the cost of governance, saving for a rainy day, and avoiding profligate borrowing.

Yes, the COVID19 pandemic has exacerbated an already bad situation, however, we could have avoided this fate by a disciplined and prudent management of our economy.

Be that as it may, it serves no one’s purposes to quarrel after the fact. We must focus on solutions. Nigeria needs critical leadership to guide her back to the path of economic sustainability.

We cannot afford hand wringing and navel-gazing. We must act now, by taking necessary, and perhaps painful actions.

For a start, the proposed 2021 budget presented to the National Assembly on Tuesday, October 8, 2020, is no longer tenable. Nigeria neither has the resources, or the need to implement such a luxury heavy budget. The nation is broke, but not broken. However, if we continue to spend lavishly, even when we do not earn commensurately, we would go from being a broke nation, to being a broken nation.

As a matter of importance and urgency, every non essential line item in the proposed 2021 budget must be expunged. For the avoidance of doubt, this ought to include estacodes, non emergency travel, feeding, welfare packages, overseas training, new vehicle purchases, office upgrades, non salary allowances, etc.

Until our economic prospects improve, Nigeria ought to exclusively focus on making budgetary proposals for essential items, which include reasonable wages and salaries, infrastructural projects, and social services (citizenry’s health, and other human development investments).

Additionally, we have to stimulate the economy, by investing in human development, and increasing the purchasing power of the most vulnerable of our population. Only a well developed populace can generate enough economic activity for the nation to exit this recession.

We must invest in those most likely to be impacted by the effects of the recession, the poorest of the poor. As well as stimulating the economy, this also ensures that they do not slip further into extreme poverty.

For example, a stimulus package, in the form of monthly cash transfers of ₦5000 to be made to every bank account holder, verified by a Bank Verification Number, whose combined total deposit in the year 2019 was lower than the annual minimum wage.

Now, how will this be funded? By more profligate borrowing? No. I propose a luxury tax on goods and services that are exclusively accessible only to the super-wealthy. A tax on the ultra wealthy to protect the extremely poor.

A practical approach to this is to place a 15% tax on all Business and First Class tickets sold to and from Nigeria, on all luxury car imports and sales, on all private jets imports and service charges, on all jewellery imports and sales, on all designer products imported, produced or sold in Nigeria, and on all other luxury goods either manufactured, or imported into Nigeria, with the exception of goods made for export. The proceeds of this tax should be exclusively dedicated to a Poverty Eradication Fund, which must be managed in the same manner as the Tertiary Education Trust Fund, or the Ecological Fund.

I further propose that a 1% poverty alleviation tax should be legislated by the National Assembly on the profits of every International Oil Company operating in Nigeria, and international airlines doing business in Nigeria, which should also go towards the proposed Poverty Eradication Fund.

It is inhumane for us as a nation to increase the cost of goods and services that affect the poor, while keeping the cost of luxuries fairly stable. We must flip this, and flip it immediately.

And above all, Nigeria must stop borrowing for anything other than essential needs. Again, for the avoidance of doubt, borrowing to pay salaries, or to engage in White Elephant projects, is not an essential need. This is particularly important as we need cash at hand, because the world and our economic and development partners are also focused on helping their home economies overcome effects of COVID19. We must be our own saviours.

The more we borrow, the more we will need cash to make interest and principal payments, and the less cash we will have to make necessary investments in our economy and our people. If we keep borrowing, we stand the risk of defaulting, and that will make recession a child’s play, because we will lose some of our sovereignty.

I urge the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to swallow its pride, and accept its limitations, so that they can open their minds to ideas, without caring who the messenger is. For as Deng Xiaoping said “It doesn't matter whether the cat is black or white, so long as it catches mice.

Celebrities / Mercy Chinwo: The Gospel Artiste From Nazareth by jjmekwa(m): 10:28pm On Nov 20, 2020
I have listened to several gospel acts, this genre of music is one I hold so dearly cos at most cases when the spirit is low and unwilling to do so much, all you need is some tracks by your favourite gospel act to elevate your spirit and let heaven prevail over your case.

Not every gospel artistes can ignite you to the supremacy of the creator, I must add that a number of musician on this genre recycle what we have always heard and throw at listeners, not only do they exhibit laziness in their rendition by carelessly filling their compositions with popular bible stories as well as verses of the scripture, the ability to build contents from current realities is usually a big deal to them, many can't, they'll rather remind you of how Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead or how he made the blind see and the deaf hear, in most cases, they will add how He turned water to Odeku, as abundant as what to make a lyrics is, this Umu Chineke artistes will still not deal with current issues.

But there's this special act amongst the bunch that has so far proven to be grounded, her creative touch and input is always sterling, she can sing anything and any style with impeccable vocal range, high peach and command, where did she gather such strength to this many wonders from? MERCY CHINWO is that act, she is a mystro personified, many circular artistes cannot do what Mercy does with her vocals, easily and tirelessly, she will hit certain high notes comfortably and you will be left wondering if she did this or had someone help her do so abstractly, damn, Mercy Chinwo is that good.

Track by Tracks, album by albums, you'll never get tired of Mercy Chinwo, one other striking thing about this dame is how humble she's remained inspite of her creativity, front and back endowments, intelligence, affluence and achievements. If there's one gospel act to listen to accross tribes and styles inother to up your spirit as well as remain entertained, MERCY CHINWO remains number 1, followed by the rest.

Politics / I Have No Regret Dumping PDP For APC - Gov. Dave Umahi by jjmekwa(m): 9:18pm On Nov 17, 2020
The Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, has finally confirmed his defection to the ruling All Progressive Congress(APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He told journalists in Abakaliki on Tuesday that he had no regrets leaving the PDP.

The governor said he moved to the APC because of “injustice” meted out to the South-east by the PDP.

He said that he had no deal with the APC or any member of the party with regards to the zoning of the presidential position to the region.

He said: “I want to clear the air that I never sought (for) PDP presidential ticket and I will not. So whoever that said that I moved to APC because they refused to zone the ticket to me is being very mischievous.

“Even if PDP promises somebody presidential ticket how does it work where over 8000 delegates will be voting. And such promise cannot happen with more than 10 or 20 people so people are being very mischievous about that.

“There are a lot of qualified persons from South-east. Some people say I was promised lots of things by the APC, there was no such discussion. APC never promised me any position, they never promised South-east any position.

“However, I offered this movement as a protest to injustice being done to South-east by the PDP. Since 1999, the South-east have supported the PDP. At a time the five states were all PDP. One of the founding members of the PDP was from South-east, the late former Vice President, Alex Ekwueme.

“It is absurd that since 1999 going to 2023, the South-east will never be considered to run for presidency under the PDP. And this is my position and will continue to be my position. It had nothing to do with me or my ambition,” Mr Umahi said.

Mr Umahi insisted that he would continue to agitate for the interest of the South-east in or out of office.

He said he has decided to become the “sacrificial lamb” that would be crucified for the interest and good of the South-east as a zone.

The Ebonyi State governor said he was not driven by selfish reasons.

He said that he has since 2019 started the agitation for South-east Presidency, insisting that the zone must get it right now or else wait for another couple of years to get such opportunity again.

Mr Umahi further noted that despite his movement to the APC, he would not castigate the Peoples Democratic Party.

He still expressed hope that the PDP will consider the region and zone the Presidency to South-east for equity and fairness.

Mr Umahi, who said he might quit politics in 2023, said he has not yet declared interest for the presidency and would support any candidate from the zone for the position.

On the reason given by the PDP that it was not yet time for the issue of zoning, the governor said the PDP leadership was being economical with the truth.

“In 2015, PDP had zoned the next presidential slot to the north against 2019. Then the statement in Bauchi that the presidential slot is open to all parts of the country and the overtures and scheming to remove most members of the National Working Committee, these are some of the indications that the party has no intention of zoning it to the South-east.

“The point is very simple. In 2023, I would have been in PDP between 23 and 24 years and south east never really supported APC the way they are supporting PDP and in that 2023, they would have been eight years in office but it would have been about 23 years going.

“So, I believe strongly that the will of God will come to play but I believe that APC is amenable to working with South-east from all indication, it’s amenable and I also believe that until justice and equity is implanted in this nation Nigeria, it is difficult for Nigeria to make progress,” Mr Umahi said.

Politics / Allow Nnamdi Kanu Return Home, Orji Uzor Kalu Appeals To FG by jjmekwa(m): 2:49pm On Sep 09, 2020
The Senate Chief Whip and former Governor of Abia state, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has appealed to the federal government of Nigeria to allow the self-exiled leader of the Indegenious People of Biafra ( IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu return to home. Kalu said negotiations of Kanu’s return would also include his dropping of the secessionist agenda of creating a new country called Biafra.

Senator Kalu made this appeal on Tuesday in an interaction with newsmen. He also raised concerns about some journalists publishing unverified stories about him, adding that several media houses have continued to spread rumors and misquote his statements out context, The Senate Chief Whip who gave instance of his online interview where he mentioned that he would turn Nigeria to a 21st century if given an opportunity to lead the country, decried that some bloggers misquoted him to have said 20th century.

He added that despite being a friend of the Press, he sees no reason for being intentionally misquoted. “I am a friend of the Press but it is time they leave me alone. You can’t just publish news about me without verifications. “We have many good journalists in the country but several others just want to sell their papers and stories with sensational headlines, "How can you rewrite 21st century to 20th century just to sell your news?” He questioned.

While responding to questions on the recent altercation between members of IPOB with security personnel in Enugu recently, Kalu said he is an ardent believer of a unified Nigeria, In his words: “Nigerians are so entangled with each other that we can’t talk about separation". We are a united country and our focus should be on taking advantage of our population to build a stronger economy. “We have reached to a point where all Nigerians should be canvassing for strong institutions where rule and order are observed; where the hardware and software components of a democratic nation are comprehensively promoted.

“If federal government permits me, I will go to United Kingdom and negotiate with Nnamdi Kanu to return to Nigeria, I will convince him to drop the agitation for Biafra because our people don’t need it".

“We need a united Nigeria that will allow different cultures and tongues to live peacefully in any part of the country. A country where people can comfortably do their businesses without fear for the unknown,” He said.

Meanwhile Senator Kalu seized the moment to reiterates his supports and loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari and the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, revealing that Buhari and the APC has continued to give the best to the country amidst challenges.

Politics / 2023: Group Disagrees With Kalu's No Zoning Statement. by jjmekwa(m): 9:21pm On Sep 02, 2020
A group known as Southeast for President 2023(SEFORP2023) has expressed its dissatisfaction over the recent statement credited to the Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu over zoning of the 2023 Presidential ticket.

Senator Kalu was quoted to have said during his visit to two former Heads of State, General Ibrahim Babangida and General Abdulsalami Abubakar, that in 2023 and that the ruling All Progressives Congress has not zoned the position of president in 2023 and that any Nigerian can run for the office.

Sen. Kalu while addressing the press went further to state that any Nigerian can run for the office of the President, saying that any person in the party can contest for the position of the President”.

Kalu who also paid visits to Governor of Niger State, Sani Bello and Emir of Minna, Dr Umar Faruq also revealed that he would serve as Nigeria’s president if given the opportunity by the electorate.

However, the group SEFORP2023 while expressing its displeasure with Kalu's statement argued that despite not being embedded the constitution, Nigeria's six zonal structure has always been used as the bases for revenue formulae, political, economic and social sharing.

The Group in a press release statement signed by its National Coordinator Rev Okechukwu C Obioha JP, argued further that despite the absence of zoning in the constitution of the APC Senator Kalu upon his election as Senator, pushed his argument and canvassed vehemently that the Southeast must be given a principal office in the red chamber as part of zoning, which he insisted, must be respected.

The group urged Senator Kalu to reconsider his postion on the matter stressing that it is morally right on the bases of equity , justice and fairness that the Southeast should Produce the Next president in 2023.

The group pointed since the Southwest produced President Olusegun Obasanjo (OBJ), South South Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) and currently President Muhammadu Buhari, it is the turn of the Southeast zone.

The statement read in full; The attention of the Southeast for President 2023(aka SEFORP2023) Movement, has been drawn to a statement credited to His Excellency, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, the Majority Chief Whip of the Senate, after a visit to the former Heads of State, General Ibrahim Babangida, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, Governor of Niger State, Sani Bello and Emir of Minna, Dr Umar Faruq.

Dr Orji Uzor Kalu was quoted to have said on the issue of zoning the Presidency, that the matter is one that would be addressed by the political parties. Yes, SEFORP2023 agree on that. He pointed out that the parties decision remained supreme. That the parties have every right to decide the zone which would produce the candidate to represent it in the polls. SEFORP2023 agree on that too.

The Chief Whip was also quoted that "In APC we have no issue of zoning, anybody can contest for election, zoning does not exist in the party's constitution. As long it is not a constitutional matter, the Presidential bid remains an open basket which anybody can vie for" He said.

First, SEFORP2023 is grossly feeling disappointed that the above statement is coming from a supposed representative of his people the Southeast(Igbo) in the capacity of a Senator and no less a position as the Chief Whip of the red chamber. Very unfortunate.

Second, SEFORP2023 must remind him that he is ignorant of history to note that till date, the six zonal structure which is now the bases for revenue formulae, political, economic and social sharing is not yet embedded in our constitution and yet it is an acceptable formula and a norm.

Thirdly, he is economic with the truth and realities here, if he will forget so soon what and how he secured the position of the Chief Whip, as he had argued and canvassed vehemently that the Southeast must be given a principal office in the red chamber as part of zoning, which as he insisted, must be respected. Was that in the constitution of the APC.

We advise him to reconsider his position as stated and know that the Presidency, which is now residing in the North for eight years by 2023, will come down to the South and that will be morally the right and turn of his southeast zone (Igbo).

Coming down to the South in 2023, and since the Southwest produced President Olusegun Obasanjo (OBJ), South South Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) and currently President Muhammadu Buhari, it is the turn of the Southeast zone.

This is the position of SEFORP2023 and why we debuted since February 2019, advocating to Nigeria, Nigerians and particularly to the likes of Dr Orji Uzor Kalu of the Southeast(Igbo), political parties and the powers that be to do the needful.

What is good for the goose is also good for the gander. The Southeast zone are not spectators in this country.

Come 2023, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, must come from the Southeast zone(Igbo). This is equitable, justifiable and in fairness.

Politics / 2023: Orji Uzor Kalu Will Fly Higher Than Bola Tinubu – Izuoma Ibe by jjmekwa(m): 1:31pm On Jul 07, 2020
There is nothing to doubt that the permutations and political calculations are ongoing regarding the 2023 presidential election. Be that as it may, the most beautiful silver lining is that All Progressive Congress (APC) is going to pan out a nationalistic program that will edge higher in the unification of every ethnic nationality, tribes in Nigeria by their insatiable quest to allow power go to the South, not just South but Igbo South, the most starved region of the presidency of Nigeria.

Evidently, at no time in the history of Nigeria has Igbo ruled Nigeria for more than 6 months. That’s worth imagining. Though the appalling revelation, there’s been no other region that has been pro Nigeria than the Igbo right from pre-independence, after independence and after the Civil War and today. The agitation for Biafra is only a reactionary that will be quelled by the election of an Igbo man as President.

As emerging indices points that the APC will be zoning her presidential candidate to the South knowing that it will be unfair and repugnant to natural justice and equity if the North holds on to power. It will be unnationlistic to reside the presidency with the Yoruba South at the expiration of Buhari second tenure.

Check this out, in 1999 Olusegun Obasanjo, a Yoruba Southerner, emerged president paired a Fulani Northerner as Vice President, Atiku Abubakar. After the expiration of their tenure, power went to the North, Yar’Adua was elected paired by an Ijaw Southerner, Goodluck Jonathan. Due to unforeseen occurrences, Jonathan was sworn in to complete the tenure of his demised boss, Yar’Adua and subsequently, he contested in 2011 and that give the Ijaw South the opportunity to rule Nigeria. Notably, his Vice President was a northerner, Namani Sambo. They left power in the hands of the northern again, that’s the current presidency of Mohammed Buhari whose Vice President is from Yoruba South. The Igbo South is yet to preside the affairs of Nigeria. But, this is their time.

Parochial political analyst are of the opinion that President Buhari will definitely support the aspiration and candidature of Bola Tinubu going into the 2023 presidential election, as such, the APC may likely settle for the candidature of Bola Tinubu. But as their opinions goes into the market, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his co-dreamers continue to sink beneath the political schemes of the APC. It is no longer rumour that Tinubu has already formed an alliance on the sidelines waiting to decamp from the APC as things will definitely play against him. This makes him less of a party man.

Three obstacles stand firmly opposed to the Bola Tinubu presidential ambition. These are the Northerners who at different fora had overtly declared their distrust for Tinubu. The Igbo is the second obstacle against Tinubu as there is nothing in his political kettle to negotiate for support from Igbo, he practically has no affiliations with Igbo in any form. Then, Orji Uzor Kalu who is a true Face of Nigeria being immersed in Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba such that if care is not taken, Kalu will defeat Tinubu in Lagos state in a free and fair election. Tinubu can’t find a place above Kalu in an election in the North, South South or South East. It is not by being jagaban, it is by being a political juggernaut, an all rounder and a pan Nigerian. Northerners do not just prefer and support Orji Uzor Kalu for President come 2023, they see him as a man to trust. The Igbo, overtime, believes in Kalu as a strong fighter who will pull them up to national light. The Yoruba understands that Kalu, being an unbaised and detribalized leader will ensure fairness, equity and transparency in governance and will not undermine the federal structure of Nigeria as enshrined in the constituition of the federal republic of Nigeria.

Bola Tinubu will have to sweat to convince the other South and the North that he will not be a Yoruba leader to become President. If he won’t be, why is he fighting to pull of ACN from APC after the merger? Just because he is likely to lose the primaries.

If you can look back to 2006 when Orji Kalu declared his interest to contest under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was met with stiff opposition by Obasanjo. Obasanjo took it personal against him. Kalu being a party man and a democrat was bent on going through the primaries. Obasanjo and those within the party hierarchy, knowing how towering Kalu’s influence could swing the presidential primaries delisted him from the party. He never ran away from the fight. He still went ahead, joined others to form a new party and contested the presidency. Although he came fourth, it was very remarkable.

That if Bola Tinubu is denied the presidential flag of the party will imploded APC is a childish miscalculation. If he opt for an alternative platform to birth his presidential ambition, his ACN, being dominant in Yoruba alone, will not hand him the presidency. It will be a political suicide for him to contemplate switching to PDP because just like Kalu is more APC than Tinubu today, Kalu has been more PDP than Tinubu. It is needless to emphasize that Kalu is more Nigerian than Tinubu.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not measurable to Orji Uzor Kalu when put side by side to contest the 2023 presidential election. While Orji Uzor Kalu dug his route an emerged a Nigerian leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu ran circles to emerge a sectional leader.

APC will definitely get it right and Nigeria will applaud them for unifying Nigeria for the first time after the civil war in Nigeria.

Religion / God Told Me Not To Collect Tithes And Offerings - Prophet Emmanuel Omale by jjmekwa(m): 2:17pm On May 24, 2020
Abuja based Prophet and spiritual head of Divine Hands of God Prophetic Ministries, Prophet Dr. Emmanuel Omale has sparked off an online sensation with his recent prophetic ministration to the church.

The Philanthropic Prophet and preacher recently informed the public that God told him not to collect tithes and offerings from his church congregation, He added that this is necessary as it was a special revelation from God, He furthered that skipping this exercise was vital as God has directed that such donations will be of great value if given to the needy and those in abject lack and deprivation.

He admonished his congregation and offcourse the public to give to those in lack and needy if they indeed want to be among those God is about to raise this end time with financial empowerment, He includes that the surest yardstick to being a part of this heritage is by being a giver and giving to humanity just as Christ Jesus examplified by giving his own life for our sake which is the major advantage we enjoy today.

Prophet Emmanuel Omale spoke as thus:

Do you want to be among the people that God is about to raise this endtime to empower them financially? If you want to be among them, are you ready to be a giver, are you ready to love humanity?

Jesus gave His own life so that me and you can have a voice today, the voice that we have today and everything we have today is because of Jesus died for me and You.

People have being calling me from all part of the world asking me to put the church account number so we can do our offerings and pay our tithe and God spoke to me and said: Prophet Omale, I said yes my Father, He said remove the church account details from the screen, He said tell the whole world that the tithe and offerings they ought to bring to his house should be given to the people in need he concluded.

You will recall that Prophet Emmanuel Omale has previously given several prophecies that came to pass one of his recent was that soon Nigerians will begin to flourish globally, this prophecy came into national discourse when a certain Nigeria medical practioner in the name of Dr. Olaoluwa Adejayan recently got an international appointment as Head of the Covid-19 Task Force in Sierra Leone.

Celebrities / Why Nobody Paved A Way For Burna Boy - James Soul John by jjmekwa(m): 10:55pm On May 23, 2020
Let me begin by saying everyone is free to have their opinion about certain issues as personal point of views differs. I cannot criticize Burna for holding his personal view about his birth, growth and rise in the music industry, in whatever context he made that statement, I go with him, Nobody got him where he is, he made a way for himself through the grace of God and his fans.

Will Wizkid, Davido or any one else be reckoning with him today if not for his hardwork and resilience even aside his natural talent, while we talk about the legendary Fela's work being a source of his blow, let's not forget that he's keeping the Afro-beat legacy of the Afro-beat legend intact which even the children of the mystro himself are yet to criticize instead embrace him for his approach.

His debut LIKE TO PARTY was accepted worldwide including the follow up TONIGHT without Burna Boy sounding a bit Afro-beat, YAWA followed suit with a fusion and recall of Galala and Konto to rejuvenate the passing Ajegunle funk, that's Talent, creativity and humanity.

From his FIRST ALBUM L.I.F.E (Leaving an Impact For Eternity to the second ON A SPACE SHIP, to his EP, subsequent album titled OUTSIDE and on to the last album AFRICAN GIANT which earned him a ganagtic Grammy nomination, Burna has not passed his boundary even in his utterance, I make bold to say that had he clunged the plague on the stage of the Grammy, the YE crooner would have still dedicated the album to his grandfather's former artiste, mother's boss as she was his one time dancer and offcourse his mentor and inspirational source, FELA ANIKULAPO KUTI.

After going through to his recent outburst about no one paving a way for him, I realised he started this rant sensefully and not senselessly like Suzan Ade Coker after he went and returned from the Grammy. Carefully I searched through the social media handles of our renowned acts and role model, then realised over 92% of them didn't even make a post of encouragement on his regards not to talk of vote that he wins and you all still think that he being an angel will look-away? Even angels no dey send who no send them.

But had he kicked the bucket, many will post him everyday for one month, hypocritically celebrating him with their tribute not because he passed on untimely but because he's left the stage for them, let us just be realistic and real here.

If a quarter of those that posted Kobe Bryant's pics and wrote their "Eye-Service" tribute on all their social media handles did a bit of same to cheer up Burna, you think say he nor go win? Incase you think Angelique Kidjo won't give him a chance to, let me then remind you guys that even Angelique Kidjo started someway and possibly had her rubbicons yet found grace to be victorious and also include that Kidjo DEDICATED her award to Burna Boy.

How many appealed when he was constantly denied awards, events and airplays in Nigeria? It is not a news that at a period in time, Burna Boy was ganged up against in the media, only few show promoters were giving him events in Nigeria, Portharcourt born Damini Ogulu practically relocated to other countries where he was accepted, honoured and hallowed, which of this artistes who paved way for him or mediated on his behalf inspite of however dark his then attitude, character, perceived pride and past was.

On his return to the United Kingdom after numerous years away due to his banishment for a crime he didn't commit directly, dude was loosing money from events coming from that corner which he couldn't honour, no one mused until the years ran out, lol and behold, he came into the UK and wasn't just honoured, he received a royal welcome as thus a King has arrived, he was even given a special plague for being the first black to sell out the SSE ARENA in UK, this years he was away was his personal years of isolation, torment and repentance, who cared?

His first entry to the United States was grand, he practically said it was beyond his expectations, a memorable year that changed the course of his career, while you celebrate your heros who have been on thesame joint with your favorite International acts, Burna has been doing so without making a noise about it, so much colloborations, plenty to mention.

You deprived and denied him of countless awards, he lost the ego to attending anymore hence he prefers his mum's representation because right under his nose, you will mention another name as recipient because you want to treat his f**k up for not giving in to the norm in the industry as well as ass lick for favours, you hated his manliness, his charisma and knowledge of his person as he wouldn't even allow his name be dragged neither will he give in to bad press.

Like 2Baba said on his live interview with Hot FM, Lagos, Burna Boy has a right to whatever he said in the context of what he is saying,he summarized that it was a big honour working with him in his recent album titled WARRIOR which his favorite track is the one that has Burna Boy on it titled WE MUST GROOVE, Burna's effort on the album proved that indeed he is an AFRICAN GIANT, you can search for this interview on YouTube (what 2Baba said about Burna Boy on Hot FM).

After countless nominations from different award organisers in a particular award year and without ever getting to pick up a single award even when it's obvious he's the best amongst the nominees, who questioned the credibility of those award organisers, who wrote to the sponsors, who asked why Burna Boy was undeserving of Nigeria awards yet doing great and shelfing several International awards.

Shall we undermine the fact that the then controversy that ensued as a result of his rift with former Grafton Records act Mr. 2kay was a ploy to destabilize his first ever event in Lagos Nigeria from holding as it was few weeks from the scheduled day which clashed with another major event, 17th of December 2017, if not, why was the so much over hyped case quashed with a mere 100,000 naira?

Conclusively, it is just necessary for us to keep extending this his controversial phrase as it will be very unnecessary for us to expect him to rescind on his "NOBODY PAVED A WAY FOR ME" pseudo, Burna Boy meant every bit of that word. To cross all this ocean of challenges with no support from any of those you expect him to herald is why he congratulates himself by himself for his recent fete by calling himself an AFRICAN GIANT.
