bn long I made a comment here. had to login in again cus I wanna debunk some wild rumours abt d correlation btwn apl and tfare allowance. just bcus u haven't gotn ur tfare alert doesn't mean u have a higher chance of gettin apl Dan dos dat have already gotten alert. wanna know why? .ok, I went for d interview buh I cldnt do d interview due to some reasons, I was allowed to fill d form for d tfare allowance cus as I was told, everybody that came for d interview is automatically eligible for some forms of refunds on dia tfare. I've not gotn a damn yet and I'm also not expectin any apl as I was not even interview so my chance of gettin apl is on d minus side.

Live Update from ICAN syllabus Awareness Programme*.

*New Study Materials (Soft Copy)* to be released on their website *Next Week*.

*3 Diets to take place now* are:

*MARCH, JULY and NOVEMBER Diets*.

The Syllabus will be reviewed again in the *year 2025* because a lot would have happened and also, *A I (Artificial Intelligence)* would have taken over *80%* of the Jobs of Chartered Accountants..

*Marking of Exam Papers*

*ON-SCREEN* marking will commence. After the Exam, all the *Exam Scripts* will be uploaded to the *Cloud* using *Bar Codes* for On-Screen marking. The markers will then download and mark on the screen.

This also means that the markers can mark the Exam Scripts from the comfort of their homes or wherever they are within the stipulated period.

A control will be put in place for proper checking of the markers' *consistency and accuracy*. Control in the sense that some people will be monitoring the marking in order to *prevent, detect and correct* any mistakes of the markers.

A new *Exam Time Table* will be released and it will include all the Courses including *Taxation* for students who started from *Foundation Level* in May Diet.

ICAN has sign MOU with *CIPM,CIPFA and ICAEW*.

With your ACA, you get all these *Certificates without writing their Exams*.

Henceforth, ICAN EXAM script will be scanned and store in cloud while the marking will be on-screen marking.
ICAN exam Will be three diets in a year namely: MARCH, JULY AND NOVEMBER Diets excluding ATS.

The new study pack will be available on ICAN website from next, the pack will have some questions and answers and mock question.

Also, The compulsory question at skills and professionals stage will carry 40 marks and ICAN will be consistently set the question from main core topic of each subject for this compulsory question.
Case study will be send to students 2 weeks before the exam excluding question, students can be doing permutations and combinations on what the examiner will ask on that case, the answer to the case should include executive summary.

The process had gone beyond the score aggregation process when HR sent a memo to every staff last week.
Appointment list will be sent to FCC - if it isn't there already - for approval today.
This process is quicker than anyone thinks.
At this pace, if the APL isn't ready before the end of this month then I'd be very shocked.

2. Competition is stiff all round but most especially for EH cadre because interview scores are close and about 5 to be selected per state and about 8 in oil producing states.
3. No consideration for CBT scores as they were aggregated as just pass on their database
4. It’s all down to fine margins.
5. Selection is being worked on now and we should hear from them by early August

Why shortlist about 9,000 if you will employ only 1,250, why not shortlist the top 4000 or 3500?? There will be so many heartbreaks when the APL drops.

Me wey no wan see the TP in the first place. Not after what AccessBank did.

Since I heard NNPC is going to refund back TP, my mind went back to AccessBank frontline recruitment last year where they sent back TP. They didn’t send to my best friend and I was laughing only for him to get mail for next stage some weeks later. He’s working in AccessBank now.

So if na TP go cause APL issue I no want, make them keep ham.

So in the case of AccessBank, they didn't refund those that got the job?

Oh yes! They really do care about dress code. They score you based on many things.. dress/appearance, confidence, manners, knowledge of your key area of specialization, knowledge of NNPC, Safety etc.

A staff told me that dress is 10marks, questions from your key area is 25marks which is the highest, plus other parameters. I suggest you get a good black suit, white shirt, probably red or blue tie. Get all of that 10marks. It's a free mark
