Properties / Re: Lagos State Government Demolishes 2,000 Shanties In Jakande Estate by jodo: 9:29am On Nov 03, 2016
its a pity but always tell the other side of the story....what about those that sold government land, those that have 6 to 7 shops in a zone and let it out as much as 10 to 150k monthly, where some cant have any, those that constructed 2 bed room flat on government land without any approval and let it out for as much as 250k, illegal way of making money is sweet but when the legality comes we shout you all know it was a matter of time and here comes the time.

Properties / Re: Illegal Structures At Oke Afa Demolished By Lagos State Government (Pics) by jodo: 12:34pm On Nov 02, 2016
[img]What happened yesterday was the height of wickedness and government's insensitivity to the plight of the masses. For everyone that cares to know the truth, the demolition had noting to do with Givin the estate an uplift. I live in the estate and I can categorically tell u that we've had the worst power supply in our axis frm January till now, the estate has terrible motorable roads, the govt has stopped financing the operation of the central sewage flushing; individuals in my zone contributed to get the sewage to work when the entire zone became an eye sore due to sewage spillage.
Back to the demolition, the govt called the structures illegal but ask them if LBIC AND EJIGBO LCDA don't collect money from the shop owners or if LASSRA don't collect money for shop name advert. Listen everyone, those structures are shops that are mostly owned by pensioners/retirees and it is the only source of livelihood for most people at a period when rice= 23k, fuel=145, dollar=475>, December is around the corner and all the govt can think of is to stop the only means of survival of poor masses without providing any alternative. To give the estate an uplift, start by improving the power condition, fix the roads, get the sewage to work andprovide affordable shop alternatives before thinking of demolition. Only God will judge all those behind this wicked and satanic act. [hr shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

i cant understand your assertion but what i can understand is that you were on ground when the demolition was happening, then you must also be aware of the atrocity of the cult boys who became omo onile all a sudden and allocating several pedestrian way to bear palours and joints years back expecially space behind the low cost pry. school, you must also be aware of ex-estate executives that sold government land (ringroad), instead of being emotionally disposed to the issue why not check the atrocities committed. you also said the shops were owned by pensioners/retirees but the pensioners/retirees can let out a shop for as much 10k-15k monthly hence making serious money, so making money from illegal act is not condemnable or being pensioners/retirees makes an illegal act legal?. some people are very funny to an extend that they build 2/3 bedroom annexing to their flat and letting out for as much 250k par year. so tell me what is the fault of government correcting abnormality.
