Caracta: Morality? Why? Who defines morality? What kind of topics will be discussed at the morality section? there couldnt be better ways to run a test of maturity than this. you should have just understood the op then give reasons either for or against the topic. but how funny is it that there is a request for a section to discuss issues based on certain traditional and foreign lifestyles that has become a part of our region custom and you call it funny. wao...........is this the level at which we have disregarded the importance of morals in both home and societal building ? well, to you tent o israel. |

Nairaland / General / Should There Morals Sction On Nairaland Site ? by Joe5(m): 1:44pm On Jan 06, 2013 |
dear nairalanders, I have gone through most sections on this site and discovered that there is no section where people would click to learn about morals. there religion section is not appropriate to accommodate moral instructions because different religions do not agree on all moral concepts. I thought tjat if Seun could create the romance section where people get nasty, he should also create a morals section we can go for moral instructions. I wanted to make this suggestion/request to Seun but I thought it wise to consult the consent of 'you' fellow nairalanders. do you think it will be appropriate to have a 'morals' section on nairaland ? |

Nairaland / General / Should There Be Home Training Centers For Young Girls ? by Joe5(m): 1:07pm On Jan 06, 2013 |
i have been so much worried about the behavior and status of our young girls (nigerian babes) as they are now called. i have read alot of commentaries, followed topics and posts about nigerian girls and all seem to agree that nigerian girls are no wife materials. the reasons people advance to support this claim sum up to ' they are too materialistic, too promiscous, too unfaithful, too.......' my worry stems also from the fact that you hadly see these girls either by words or action try to dismiss these claims. all they do is laugh humorously which suggests they are aware and agree that these are true of them. now I ask...is it that mothers have failed in their reponsibilities ? then should there be home training centers for girls ? pls lets look at this. |

Technology Market / Why Are Girls Used For Advertising Most Products And Services ? by Joe5(m): 9:07am On Dec 28, 2012 |
This issue has been running in my mind until the day i attended a class on moral psychology where the honorare told us that psychology is the backbone behind advertising. my mind quick ran to this frequent action of companies, industries etc use girls especially those with sex appeal to market their products and services whether or not these products and services have anything to do with women. take for instance a company that produces building material or engage in petroleum marketing, the first appearance on their advert page will be a loosely dressed girl even before their product. so why is this trend happening ? |
Entertainment / Re: Why Is Every Music Video About Girls And Partying ? by Joe5(m): 8:39am On Dec 28, 2012 |
@ Safarigirl, you just got me astounded with your post. i rather a man typed that trash than you a supposed woman. you trade the dignity of womanhood on the alter of immorality ? Did you say those girls are not naked but just ' scantily' dressed ? gosh. tell me, is there any moral demacation between a scantily dressed and a naked girl ? Lord have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and save us from the fire of HELL. |
Entertainment / Re: Why Is Every Music Video About Girls And Partying ? by Joe5(m): 8:21am On Dec 28, 2012 |
our Nigerian music industry is now enclosed in sex, women, money, wine, and very soon blood like sand as in ancient Roman empire as shown in the movie ' spartacus'. Lord have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and save us from the fire of HELL. |

Romance / Why Does She Behave This Way. by Joe5(m): 11:34pm On Dec 14, 2012 |
a friend of mine has a relationship he cherishes so much. He loves this girl so much that he is always trying to see how best to make her happy. He calls at least three timed a day and sends two sms daily and he does send airtime to her whenever he has even without her asking, all in a bid to prove his love. Being a morally sound guy, he does not ask for sex because he just want a union built on trust and true love that could lead them to the......But one is disturbing him. Despite all his actions, the girl does not behave as if the guy has done or is doing anything at all, in fact, she behaves as if she doesnt even have feelings and attraction for him. For instance, when the calls and tries to open up a conversation, she would just keep mute. She doesnt call or reply his sms. the situation is just pathetic but the guy wount give up. However he confided in me as a friend. Knowing i may not give him all the answers, i decided to bring it here because our contributions can be of great help. Mods, you can help it to the front page. |

Family / Why Do People Go Into Relatioship With The Opposite Sex by Joe5(m): 10:38am On Nov 19, 2012 |
pls i need ratioal answers. This has been bothering my mind for long. I do believe that the ultimate goal of any intimate relationship with the opposite sex should be marriage . There is this girl that i love so much and we have a relationship. One day, i intentionally asked her this question with the intent to know the degree of her love for me. `if one day i come to your house to ask your hand in marriage, would you say yes or no ?` she said i should forget that topic. That we should just keep going. I wasn`t comfortable with that response because i assumed she had another reason for being in the relationship. Or should relationship withe opposite sex just be for `collecting` ? |
Education / Re: Which Is Correct; 'change' Or 'balance'? by Joe5(m): 10:11am On Nov 19, 2012 |
the appropriate word is balance. The use of these words depend on the situation. In business situation it is more appropriate to say `balance` which is the remainder of your money after paying for goods or services with a denomination higher than actual amount of your purchases. Then change is used when you want an equivalent of your high denomination money in lower denominations. 1 Like |

oluwacjay: D funny tin is dat women can neva be satisfied. Once u turn 4rm player 2 d man of deir drms, dey take u 4 granted & 4get dat u once were in d game. Matured men phenomena can work in europe & america, not 9ja gurls. Once a 9ja gurl knws u ar her 1 & only, dats wen she transforms 2 d real man in ur rship. 9ja gurls no follow 4 dis real man stuff...my dear brother, we should have to make a retreat about tongue-lashing our girls and make people think that nigerian girls are the worst in the world. You may have had one or two bad experiences with them but that isnt enough to calumnize them. Maybe we should stop this '9ja gurls' branding because it seems to connote immorality and irresponsibility which i dont think generally apply to every girl of nigerian extraction. 1 Like |

vislabraye: Very interesting. Men will always be categorized like articles.you are on point. Most ladies today are unmarried because of the 'percieved' notion of the real man. To me, saying there is a real man is like assuming there is a 'perfect' man out there. Pls, ladies the real man is actually the 'child-like' man because he is ever willing to learn and change. |
