Education / Re: Nigerian Boarding House Stories And Pictures by Joicz(f): 1:15pm On Sep 24, 2007
Boarding school was the best, really the best, despite digging gutters, cleaning toilets and serving punishments of all sorts, i still loved being in boarding house.

Started at federal girls college Gboko before moving in JS 2 to federal Calabar, learned to survive and avoid punishments, the trick was to be stubborn yourself, and dodge when you can, having a school mother also came in handy sometimes, cant forget those thursday afternoon yam and beans nor bread and eggs of sunday mornings, when you could plan to go early and clear your table out if theyve been eating your food, when you became a senior of course your time came and you also gave as good as you got! lol

my child will definately go to a boarding school, thats for sure,

Politics / Is Nigeria Saveable? by Joicz(f): 10:58am On Sep 19, 2007
Is Nigeria saveable?

one may wonder, "saveable" but i'd like you all to indulge me, my question again, Is Nigeria saveable?? in the true sense of the word, can we as a nation survive the bad leadership, bad roads, bribery and corruption, joblessness, youth restiveness, petrol price hike cum lack there of, lack of electricity and water , the list seems endless,  AND evrything negative that has become associated with Nigeria and Its citizenry?

Sometimes i wonder is it just a phase we're going thru? (since we Nigerians always seem to chin up and bear it or when backed to the wall, we simply climb over instead of having a stand off, ) OR is it that we are as a nation going slowly but surely to the dogs?

Dont get me wrong, im not one of the naysayers,  grin there is a lot that is good about Nigeria, however, we have a lot of issues to address too!

So good people, lets hear you: Is Nigeria saveable? what one aspect of the nationhood do you think if changed can bring about a significant positive turnaround in our fortunes (for lackof a better word) and future as a nation

i reaally dont think its a good idea to have your ex come from out of town for lunch, wetin he wan eat suddenly after nine months? He has sumthing up his sleeves sistah and i promise you, it may end up making you go down that memory lane you dont want to visit, we gals always do have a soft spot especially with someone you almost married, my advise is STEER CLEAR, if you wan eat, make de new man take you out, or cook for your sweet self! he can spill watever it is on the phone, avoid wahala o! curiousity na im kpeme de cat, thats my own!!!!
