Webmasters / Re: Are There Great / Very Good Webmasters In Nigeria? by jumox: 6:24pm On Sep 04, 2014
you posted in another thread that you designed samebornday.com in India and to me, the design is wack.
I am not saying indians are bad but the particular indian that did that job is not good with design.
But then i am talking about design alone. Website much more than desin alone. The backend maybe ok, i have not gone there.

To answer your question: yes there are and I am one of them and I can prove it to you.

Politics / Re: Can Someone Give Me One Honest Reason Why APC Is Better Than PDP? by jumox: 2:13pm On Sep 04, 2014
KiKatanga: PDP are basically useless, so are APC.

The only reason you vote APC is because the PDP will take reelection as an approval of their corruption and go onto even bigger crimes in the future.
But that mindset could backfire.
If I vote apc who i know are equally corrupt but has not gotten a taste of the action, dont you think their starvation would have be soo much that they will finish off the country in a very short period.

Webmasters / Re: Request: Drop-down List Box by jumox: 7:30am On Sep 01, 2014
Craigston: Good day guys. I'm trying to create a drop-down box for my navigation, just like the one used to reduce the space occupied by the navigation links here on nairaland. I mean that type that has a '+' symbol by it. When you click it, the '+' changes to '-' and the content become visible. What's the html tag for it?
what you are referring to is a final product of opera mini compression.
You only see that in opera mini.
That is not to say it cant be implemented with js and css.

sunkoye: trust me, they dont have all the time to zap us out of this world. They would have done that long time ago. Have you ever heard of The Restraining Power Of the Holy Spirit.? They always look for easy and weaker or spiritually marching target. Even wen we are down spiritually and we are overwhelmed by their activities, they wont cross lines without express approval from our own oga at the highest top. Cheers.
This pressing thing happens to at least 80% of people all over the world at least once in their lifetime. This includes atheists, and other non-christian theists. Why didnt it press them to death since they dont believe in Holy Spirit.
Again, you have not answered the question of why it has to be 'pressing'. The explanation of what actually happens lies there!
No one has come out to say that this 'incubus' approached him in sleep and he stood up fought valiantly.
It has to be that you are lying down and partly conscious.
You feel pressed because you are partly conscious but you cant move your body yet because your nerves arent ready to push you up and for that you feel being pressed down.
Its a very clear explanation but when they keep citing it as an example of spiritual attacks in churches, anyone like me now who tries to explain what it actually is will become a non believer.

Again dont get me wrong, evil spirits attack people but this pressing thing is no spiritual attack. OP was given a very aggressive biting by mosquitoes and alcohol and sleep paralysis helped put 'evil spirit' in his room.

when you mix superstition, alcohol, mosquito and dark rooms in one night, things like these are bound to happen.
No spirit attacked you. Yes I said it.
The bites? Remember your pressing turned to a bee like stuff when you stared praying? Thats the mosquitoes feeding! Thats where the 'stings' ca,me from.
The shadow on the wall is an illusion produced from your reflection cast on the wall by your lamp and then the abnormal shape came from alcohol and the positioning of the lamp.
No demon attacked you.
Dont get me wrong, I believe in evil spirits but we Nigerians over exaggerate. Every little thing we cant understand is an 'attack'.
Unfortunately, church ministers of all denominations exploit that to either remain relevant or for financial gains.
One question again is why do these evil spirits just 'press' people rather than just stab or knock them out while they are still asleep. Why does it have to be pressing and not allowing you to shout and suddenly when you can speak they varnish. Come on! They have all the time in the world to zap you out of this world when you are sleeping.

Webmasters / Re: How To Load Form Inputs Into An Array. by jumox: 2:02am On Aug 07, 2014
sunday478: Thanks Guys, have solved the problem
tell us how..
Webmasters / Re: How To Load Form Inputs Into An Array. by jumox: 9:07pm On Jul 31, 2014
sunday478: hi. Webmaster.

I have about 15 form fields,

I created it with a loop. And assigned different names. Like item1, item2, ...

when entering the form, the user is free to enter any of the 15 fields, he may choose to enter just 5 or maybe the 15.

When he enter maybe the five I will collect those five and and prompt them to enter other values for the value the already entered.
Let's say U are asked to enter
name of books you have read.

You will then be asked to enter the price you bought the books.

//I have succesfully achieve the above.

What I want to achieve now is:

How I could get the inputs for any of the form fields that is filled.

I tried to use loop to load the posted values.
But it is not working.

Because I want to do the validation.

I will like to know how to load any of filled fields into an array.

Or if there is a way to go about It.

Dual Core, et al.
Problem i have with problem solving is actually understanding the problem. Whenever I do, the rest is just a matter of time. grin

Now to your question, the thing is, I dont understand it.

But when i intend to get values of fileds returned in a loop.
I do it like this:

First the field is named like this: <input type="text" name="price[]" /> * hope you see the [], thats where the trick is.

With the [] above in the 'name' attribute of the field, you are already putting it in array.

*** Now, $_POST['price'] is an array which you can then manipulate like any other array value.

Am I missing something?

Celebrities / Re: Peter Okoye Replies Those Bashing Him For Snubbing His Brother's Wedding by jumox: 8:56pm On Jul 19, 2014
Anyone who expects Peter to love Jude more than his family is a fool but saying that the reason why you didnt attend the wedding is because of that makes him a bigger fool.

What has family got to do with attending wedding?

Is he unknowingly passing a message that someone in his family asked him not to attend and so he has to obey?

Webmasters / I Really Need Webdesign Jobs! And I Am Good! by jumox: 5:31pm On Jul 16, 2014
I am an experienced web designer and a creative php/mysql developer. I have done quite a good number of jobs but currently, I do not have any and bills that needed to be cleared up in weeks are piling.

I have tried some things but the fastest means of raising money now is with my skills and therefore, I am calling on fellow developers and other nairalanders who might have jobs to please knock on my doors.

The fact that I need the jobs badly means that they are going to be highly subsidized and you need not pay until you are satisfied.

My scope of work is simply ANYTHING that falls within php/mysql/ajax/jquery/html5/css3/javascript. The speed of delivery will be out of this world and yet no templates will be used unless otherwise stated.

If you have a job that you will want me to do for you, please reach me with the specifications on jumoyield@gmail.com

Thank you.

I am waiting..
