What is wrong with supporting your friend and helping her. You are not a friend I know pple like you. If you cant marry her let her know and allow her pursue her own life..... have you seen anybody who made something out of their life exclusive of other people's help one way or the other. Selfish humanrice

Confirmed Guy! Guy you sabi. Person wey u neva marry... U don dey control
BestAccessories:

Oga, stop being a child. For first date, ask her to suggest a venue and location.

It's takes two to tangle, if she doesn't like the place you suggested, you should have asked her where is comfortable and convenient for her.

Up your game.

Politics / Re: #EndSARS: Sowore Confronts Military Officer At Abuja Airport by juneman: 1:43pm On Nov 02, 2020
"Everybody talking @ dsame time"
to @Sowore pls hence protesters should be organized in groups within the larger group b4 they match out. Each group should have leaders. And identified spokes persons if they are confronted and need to speak to de-escalate a situation. Then every sectional leader would take cue from the leader of the larger group in this case Sowore. Because that way they can immediately take charge of a situation and control their own group without giving the authorities an excuse to resort to primitive means... though not saying the authorities wouldn't be animalistic entirely but their incursions can be curtailed at best. Like what this video depicts "Sowore should have been the only one speaking trying to de-escalate the situation while others stand back and stay vigilante. That way they look very organised Just my suggestion

Family / Re: Wives Living In Nigeria And Husbands Abroad: My Encounter by juneman: 2:03am On Sep 25, 2020
For the betterment of the family. Alot of sacrifice go into building a successful family. Years down the road you won't know how them manage to arrive this juncture. Being realistic is one way of achieving your desired goal. When a man sees that the way things are playing out his children will suffer in the nearest future... that man got to make some critical decisions. Many families today that you admire, someone has paid a huge price to get them where they are today... Sentiments doesn't take one anywhere... only real men and women can give all to better their family's future. Insofar as the man hasn't abandoned her and the kids but they have a veritable plan of action.
True life story... I know a family, things were so tight they are newly married like 3 years with 1 son... they decided to take their destiny into their own hands believing in God. The husband now got opportunity to waka.. he set up the wife in a decent self contain in lagos. After about 1.5 years that the hubby don waka. The wife decided to move to Port harcourt to leave with the hubby mother. Because she felt she would be able to cope better. She wasn't forced....this is a woman who got her man's back. Remember the hubby didn't abandon her O. But she on her own levels want to do her bit to see that he succeeds and their plans work. Now fast forward 3 years... She is now united with hubby. Infact Their door open. So a man/woman got to do what they got to do.

Politics / Re: Tinubu’s Video Broadcast And Other Reasons Obaseki Floored Ize-iyamu by juneman: 12:26am On Sep 21, 2020
Ize-iyamu is not a good strategist... he shouldn't have agreed to be used by Oshiomole and the likes of Tinubu. Because realistically there is no way he would have defeated Obaseki. Because of greed for political power he just fall yakata

Try being funny. Don't start off being too serious. Try hailing like " fine girl" that simple line can do wonders. If she ignores jus add another line "nothing bad to appreciate a beautiful woman". If she thanks you. Then enter am with " your so smart" if she still dey follow up with " I jus like meeting smart people cos I can learn alot by such interactions" then if she still dey. Talk about what you do " I am into programming" Bamboozle her a little and ask what she knows about your field. Ask her about what she is doing. From there sell yourself na marketing. Your goals, enterprise drive, etc. Trust me women will flock to you. If you market yourself well. Also look good. It doesn't have to be expensive to look good. Dress smartly and neat. Smell good. Dont wear flip flop about. Pam sandals everywhere. You get the gist. Goodluck.

Romance / Re: My Neighbors Wife Is About To Push Me To The Wall. by juneman: 9:45pm On Jul 18, 2020
Dont do it! I remember my experience whilst at OAU ife. I lived off camp at 2 gate. My neighbor were a young family with 2 little kids. The wife tempted me non stop. She will leave the bathroom door open when she is taking her bath when the husband has gone to work. And i will pass in front of the bathroom door to go to my own bathroom., i didn't know what to do. I caught her steering at me all the time. She badged into me in the bathroom pretending that she didn't know i was in there. But God helped me not my power. I resisted her calmly and peacefully. I ignored her llke she didnt exist. I really felt for her husband for he was a hard working man and very respectful to even me that i was a student. If i have fallen who knows what might have befallen me. Please run for your life.

[quote author=oyatz post=89161098]You are wrong sir.

1) Uthman Dan Fodio died long before the advent of the British Colonialism.

2) In the S/West,Islam was already being practiced at individual/family levels at least 300 years before Uthman dan Fodio's birth.

3) The Fulani Jihadists southward march to the Atlantic ocean was thwarted by the Ibadan Military power when they defeated the Fulani Jihadists at the 1840 battle of Oshogbo and drove them back to Ilorin.

4) If not for the advent of the British rule, even many indigenous tribes would have amagalmated into powerful forces and rebeled against the Fulani led Emirates to regain their Independence e.g the rebellion of the local people in Ilorin led to the burning of the palace and the subsequent suicide of the Emir MoMA of Ilorin around 1890.

5) Nigeria wouldn't have existed as we know it.

I really appreciate your comments

fulaniHERDSman:
Then there wouldn't have been the criminal contraption called Nigeria and all this dubious foreign Religions that were used as colonization tools. Yet Africa would have developed at its own pace and in truth to its self. Corruption that destroyed and is still wrecking Africa would have been minimal as our traditional religions and culture had it in check. The white man created Nigeria fraudulently hence the pervasive corruption. A forced mixture of oil and water. A wicked Concoction of Light and darkness that has refused to blend. A terrible compound formulated by titration of known corrosive acids and other mild chemicals.
Egypt was among the first civilizations without the white man's criminal contribution.

I really appreciate all your comments

Whilst in deep meditation today, this crossed my mind. What would our society be like if our culture, language and ways of life weren't disrupted by the extraneous factor of colonialism? Wouldn't our language become fully developed to teacher science. Wouldn't we have grown indigenous technology, wouldn't our beliefs and ethos evolved into philosophies that can be adapted into business and self development principles etc. How would our societies look like if they were allowed to evolved independently without the interruption of colonial subjugation. Let us reason together. Intellectual contributions please.

Yoruba people are too promiscuous..
the culture even encourages it... everything is Iyawo. .when I was in university OAU precisely .. natives usually appreciate students who are cohabiting without marriage... they even see them as responsible than those of us who live alone and pursue our studies... I used to wonder back then... how do elderly people encourage someone to bunk another man's daughter without the parents approval and use Bleep finish the girl... every day month to month na Bleep them go they Bleep... then elderly yoruba folks who should know better... will be hailing them Iyawo, our wife... brother kunle wife.... another person pikin... I used to be baffled back then... and I really raised the issue with my yoruba friends

Politics / Re: Why Sowore Deserves To Be Forgiven By Goodluck Jonathan Supporters – FFK by juneman: 7:17pm On Sep 24, 2019
I do not mind forgiving Sowore. I like him to say the least. I agree with most positions he holds. But I disapprove sometimes on his comments and the dismissive and bombastic approach and attitude. He has to understand that he is no longer a student leader and that the whole Nigeria isn't one large campus. I think he needs to redefine himself. He has to understand for which I assume he knows the deep seated issues of the people. He should enter into more alliances. Sometimes you will have to dine with the devil to advance your course . Change sometimes is not blanket it could be advancing small changes in a corner.

Properties / Re: My Landlord Served Me A Quit Notice And I Want To Know What What My Rights Are by juneman: 8:02pm On Oct 26, 2018
Jus to add my voice.... ve you read the lease agreement you signed on securing your rental apartment. From personal experience its crafted very skilfully to remove the landlord from liability at the expiration of a tenement aggreement. You might want to talk to a lawyer further but I doubt if you have many options open to you. Even if you are granted leave you can't remain in residence without paying for it. And I want to believe its thesame resources you want to save up to get a new place. My candid opinion.... engage with your landlord, play the fool buy more time if you need some and walk
