Computers / Re: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Opera Browser? by JustBlaze1(m): 5:24pm On Feb 16, 2006
Peronally i'm a firefox guy but i;'ve just started testing the beta version of the new IE 7 which now has the long over due tabbed browsing and it's performing quite well. The GUI is much slicker than the previous version. A glimpse of what MS Vista would look like i guess!
Computers / Re: Why Win 2000, Win Xp or Windows Vista When There's Win 98? by JustBlaze1(m): 5:11pm On Feb 10, 2006
I really dont know why peeps still wanna use windows 98 anyways. I'm a system's administrator for a large organisation and i've experienced NT, 95, 98, 2000 / ME and finally XP.

XP has been the easiest to live with on a daily bases. As long as your computer is fully patched up and the antivirus is upto date plus a decent firewall XP will serve you well.

I really cant wait to get my hands on vista, hopefully next week and i'll see what Mr Gates has got planned for the future.

I saw a niaja film recently and in the scene, a guy was shot with a revolver gun that didnt have the revolving bullet compartment. I wonder where the bullets came from?
Music/Radio / Re: The Live8 Concerts by JustBlaze1(m): 2:30pm On Jun 29, 2005
LIVE 8 is part of a day of action across the world which kick-starts The Long Walk to Justice that calls on the leaders of the world’s richest countries to act when they meet in Gleneagles on 6th-9th July. On July 2nd in London, Edinburgh, Washington, Berlin, Paris and Rome millions will be coming together to call for complete debt cancellation, more and better aid and trade justice for the world’s poorest people.

LIVE 8 is calling for people across the world to unite in one call – in 2005 it is your voice we are after, not your money.

yomidipset4eva:

Anyway I'm tired of Nigerians saying they Nas ,most of the time y'all don't understand a word he's saying .

Hey Mr Dipset, just because the average guy that you know can't understand what Nas is saying doesn't mean you have to generalize and paint everyone with the same brush

I agree with you about the fact that if you wanna hear the real hip hop this days then you have to give it up to Talib, the beautiful struggle is a cool album but his first album with Hi Tek was HEAVY!!!

Mos Def, Black on bothsides what can i say and Common keeps doin his thing with his real creative and original brand of hip hop.
Music/Radio / Re: Rocafella and Nigerians that love Dipset by JustBlaze1(m): 3:06pm On Jun 10, 2005
Hey demmy,

Dont get me wrong, i'm big hip hop head and every now and then the diplomats come up something decent but most of the time i just think they are not good enough. Just Blaze should sell his beats to someone else like the Nas's and Jiggas of the rap world who go make proper use of it.
Music/Radio / Re: Rocafella and Nigerians that love Dipset by JustBlaze1(m): 11:40am On Jun 10, 2005
Camron is an american rapper signed to the roca fella label under Def Jam. His crew call themselves the diplomats, dipset for short.

Personally i think they are a load of garbage but then again thats wat i think of them... grin grin grin
Jokes Etc / High School Letter, the REPLY by JustBlaze1(m): 12:43am On Jun 10, 2005
Just a little sumthing sumthing for the lovers up in herree

My Love, My Sugar,

i was exasperated with pride to have received one from you, the lungs in my body flapped with joy when i have been reading your letter. Anyway by now you have reached the realisation as to why i am jotting this small letter to you, yes it is to see if you are keeping with the sands of time.

How is everything on that other side of yours? Well here everything is just half lemon half sugar to make it schweppes. How is your schooling? How are you pulling the wagons of life? I am just pulling the schooling thing like a donkey pulling a cart.

My honie, i am missing you very much right now, my heart is perambulating with every word that i write, if it was not for these oceans that decided to flow between us then i would get on the next bus to come and see you, but until then i know that i will not hesitate to put this blue blood on this paper and write to you.

I remember that day lovie, that one sweet day as Maria Curry sanged it, you know that it is my favourite song honie, the one day that we were boarding the combies and you escorted me to my home, walking with you just brought sweet dreams to me for the rest of my life honie.

If words of love could ride a bicycle I would be competing aganest Diego Maradona.Anyways, i will not stop you
from reading the books that give you life and education so I will stop here for today. Please always writing to me because I am missing you like sugar misses tea.

My dedications to you are :
Maria Curry - One Sweet Day.
Boys To Main - And of the Rod

Keep well my mop of my heart,
Yours in flesh and in blood,
Ruise Sugar Baby
P.S. Sorry about my English, I did not learn anymore grin grin grin

Romance / Re: Why is Love so Painful at Times? by JustBlaze1(m): 3:40pm On Jun 03, 2005
I've been hurt before and i know how painful it can be... I just think men move on faster than women when the relation don blow up.

Some people see men moving on faster as a sign off emotional numbness but i think it's just someone being brave and facing up to life...

There is no point crying over split milk, carry on with your life i say.

My fellow Nigerian men,

I am sorry to inform you that, even though many of us (excepting me) would [date or even marry an older girl, most Nigerian girls are not ready to marry or even date guys that are younger than them! (at least, the girls on this forum).

Sorry boys, but it takes two to tango! grin

That one na story, in this age where men are scarce and so much competition among ladies.
Fine young Bobos are reigning nowadays o! They are much sought after by big time society ladies.

Nairaland / General / Re: The Nigerian Police Force: How do you view them? by JustBlaze1(m): 3:07pm On Jun 03, 2005
My last experience of nigerian po-po isn't one i would like to hold on to.

I came to nigeria a year and half ago for my father's funeral " He died in a car accident while on a 3 week holiday in nigeria"

Loosing your father is hard enough, going back to nigeria after 8 years away is also quite hard but getting chased by niaja po-po along lagos- ibadan express way just because they didnt spot our suitcases in time as we passed their check point wasn't pleasant.

The guys made us turn around at the next toll gate, took us all the way back to where their check point was based and started given us yawa. One of the officers asked me, do you not stop for the police where you are coming from and i told him they dont hide in the bush and harrass me for money in broad daylight...

They let us go after 30mins once we've paid for the petrol that they used to chase us... imagine!

So it's fair to say i'm not a fan of the boys in black...

Nigerians and africans have a bad reputation on ebay. I'm an active member on e-bay, the other day i came across and auction for a samsung D500 mobile phone. The first thing the guy said was " No i will not send the phone to your sick child in nigeria, neither will i take an over priced cheque from your shipper and then pay you back the difference.

Unless you dey pay me by paypal or cash i go cancel your bid...
Music/Radio / Re: Genevieve Nnaji in the Music Profession? by JustBlaze1(m): 11:43pm On Jun 02, 2005
I know good music when i hear one but what went through my mind when i first saw Genevieve's music video was WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING. I can comfortably say it;s the worst song I've heard in a long ass time.

Someone please tell her not to give up the day job just yet ;-)
Nairaland / General / Re: How Much To Charge Nairaland Users? (we're going commercial) by JustBlaze1(m): 11:34pm On Jun 02, 2005
Hey Seun,

Quick question... Why should i pay to contribute to your forum? If you introduce a membership fees and all other types of fees people will walk and whats a forum without the community members?

Unless you are going to offer something special that might be worth paying for then it might be Ok.

Just think about it...

P.S

Try affliate marketing through google, you should be able to bank some $£ that way...
