Family / Re: "Marry Your Friend" - Who Then Is Your Friend? by Kaa4(m): 12:01pm On Jul 06, 2020
Righteousness89:
Before Marriage, seek God's Face for Direction. Very Important

As Humans, we are Extremely Limited..

God Speaks! God Directs! God Reveals! All you need is to seek Him with a Honest Heart!

Don't seek God Almighty with a Choice in mind! If not devil may also give u a dream...

I remember telling God years ago, that if I don't hear him, I won't Marry! I had so many people around me who were willing to marry me but my mind was made up.

Glory to God, He Gave me His Choice for me..

Hearing God eliminates Struggles! When things are looking funny, HE Shows up and fixes it because HE is only Committed to where He sends you!

It's what God Gives that He is committed to!
Even God has revealed and pointed to to your spouse, you need to respect and love the person. The Bible is clear about the demand of our relationships with our spouses. Husband, when you have married your friend respect her wishes as you will for your friend,, and wives, when you have married your friend, submit to him because he is your head.
Simple.

Your contribution is perfect jare, remain blessed. may the better man win. Only that Edo people are still faced with the same choice. No new people.
fairfora:
What a bias writeup. Its glaring from the editorial point of view.

Point of correction...APC would sleep and snor in court over obadeki's certificate issue because they weren't forged. Sonebody can't be so mean and confident without a reason. The same man whose HSC, NYSC and Degree certificates were said to have been questionable had been cleared by the bodies who issued them This time, he had presented a CORRECTED copy of the certificate as obtained from the NYSC. He also presented WAEC certificate which he didn't present the first time instead of the controversial HSC. UI had come to the public to say, he was their student and graduated with the same result, same year. I wish this issue was raised when oshiomohle was governor. He would have been kicked out because he didn't have one. Obaseki had his waec before he entered UI and same was qualified enough for a degree course according to a serving professor of same institution whom I approached on the matter recently.

My uncle entered university with 4 credits late 70s . Up till 2009, FUT Minna was admitting with 4 credit passes. Nowadays it's no more the case because the competition is high , same with the number of candidates wanting to enter the universities. In my time, there was nothing like post jamb. Just meet the cut off point with 5 credit passes in o'level and you'd be admitted on merit. To attain cut off point in those days wasn't easy to come by. Many wrote jamb and waec up to 3 times before finally making it. Some combined GCE with waec to make up the 5 credit passes in my time and they still got admitted. The reverse is the case nowadays. Obaseki's O'Level result qualified him for admission in his time as confirmed by this professor.

Everybody should just rest this edo case and allow the candidates flex their muscle. Unlike other states, edo people don't sell their conscience. They would collect your money and still do their wish and if you dare harass them, they'd show you their cutlass from inside their clothe . If obaseki deserves it, edo people would not come to nairaland to seek people's opinion whether to vote him or not. If they believe in Ize-iyamu, even if obaseki spent his last kobo, they'd still vote ize-uyamu. Edo people are quite different from others in reasoning. They voted oshiomohle and dumped the presidential candidate of his party. In like-manner, voted obaseki but dumped buhari in spite of federal presence and money spent with popularity of the party at the state level. That's edo for you. Whoever wins should be supported, election no be war. Good luck to all the candidates.

Religion / Re: Have You Ever Experienced Or Witnessed A Notable Miracle? by Kaa4(m): 11:29am On Jun 21, 2020
Since you rationalised the miracles of other people, let me read you rationalise this one.
I had only N2000 on me and had used all to buy fuel on an empty tank that was on the red. I was traveling in my my bus (a Windstar) and had insufficient fuel in the vehicle to travel form Akure to Lagos. I initially felt if should pick passengers when I got to Ore it would be okay. I passed by without carrying any because I saw only one with N300 Naira. I didn't feel I should carry him because I don't know where the fuel would finish in the vehicle. I travelled constantly checking the fuel gauge within 3 to 5 minutes, The Holy Spirit told me take my eyes off the gauge. But I could not. I saw the gauge go down from less than a quarter to further down . I could not speed but kept on under 100 km per hour. As I got to Shagamu interchange connecting to Lagos, I saw with my TWO eyes the gauge going up by itself and I was till driving (all alone in the vehicle) it went back to above a quarter.
I hit go slow at Berger, and still went home at Ota and drove the vehicle around for two days more before I refilled on Tuesday.
Please rationalise this and let me know what happened if not for God!

It does not mean that those who come to study management sciences are not good enough. The engineering courses are physical as well as precision subjects, the Management sciences requires more thinking than the engineering courses. Humanities are the worst.
Come to look at it , these engineering students will layer come tot eh auditing banking insurance and even marketing jobs claiming they are better performers

If you know how JAMB arrives at these scores you will to wan to trust JAMB again. But be sure the scores are real and represent the performance of the candidates. Performance represents the preparedness of the students and nothing more.
You may get the students tot eh schools and the performance may drop depending on orientation. So the is the first step for them.

It's not really about that. It's more about strategy and economics than technology.
Its much more about economics of maintenance and the operating costs. Planes of that size are simply cost inefficient and makes it difficult for long term operating strategy for airlines. Airlines prefer fairly smaller planes with about 300 passengers or less. That was the reason the 737 Max was doing so well in the market until the fiasco crashes

Romance / Re: My Parents Won't Allow Me Marry Outside My Tribe by Kaa4(m): 7:18pm On May 10, 2020
Funny, you came online to request advice.
Let me advice you as another elder. Marry based on your heart. Parents are elfish when they command their children not to marry form a particular tribe or marry a particular person. They are most of the time wrong. Let me tell you a story.
A man dated a few ladies before settling down for his wife. She was his first girlfriend though and the least educated of them. Because she is from home his family insisted he should marry her thus not giving him consideration at all. He wasn't comfortable on the day of the weeding and in the evening after the wedding called his younger ones an informed them that they should marry whoever they love and not listen to the parents. Though he is still married tot he lade he knew there are better options.
The issues now is that the parents that insisted he should marry form home are the main enemies of the family. Why? because they wanted ot manipulate the family through the wife and wife didn't cooperate with them. The wife wanted her independence and hat of th family.
You see how selfish parents can be. All his younger ones didn't marry form home following his advice!

But pray to God, your maker. You need that with advice and not a command from your parents.

Good luck

Letter to Mr Sanwo Olu
Mr Governor Sir,

Kudos to you an your team for the excellent work you are doing and the new rules rolled out for the unlocking down of Lagos. There is one thing you need to do. Kindly localise the treatment of the Covid 19 for any of the patients who would not mind local treatment. Your keeping them until the West brings a vaccine or some other drug is not right. It is all about profit. Senegal and Madagascar have proved the WHO wrong and you as power bestowed on you by Mr Buhari can do the same and save more people.

God bless you as you consider my suggestion

I recall CNN screaming that MASKS don't work and the rubbish was repeated on this site. NOTHING cures a virus! Hydroxychloroquine + Zpack is a treatment and it works and AS LONG AS YOU DON'T HAVE HEART DISEASE it is completely SAFE. It gives your immune system the space (in a manner of speaking) to fight it off. Remdesivir does the same thing, the only thing is Remdesivir is patented and profitable and Hydroxy is NOT. Americans don't want Trump to kill the market for Remdesivir that is the ONLY problem. BOTH WORK and are being USED worldwide despite the deliberate SMOKE CNN is creating to defend their major advertiser. COVID-19 is big business whether we like it or not.

That's the problem. It is all about profit and money making. The IMF even said life first, but everything points to money making in the pandemic that is bringing economies down.

Why can't we go the way of Madagascar?!

Men are squeamish and afraid whenever the women want to deliver, but at that time the women are stronger.

Simple question. Why is it that non of our religious leaders foresaw this mighty occurrence?

And we even have some mighty prophet in this particular country Nigeria

Assuming the world knew this was coming we could have all prepared very well for it

Preparation for working from home would have been done

Individuals would have saved alot of money

Schools would have been proactive i trust private schools.

Bigger question.... Could it be God intentionally hid it from the anointed men of God just to prove something to us?

But come to think of it after the appearance of covid 19 so many men and women of God are not coming to say one thing or the other. So many individuals are now coming to say what God has shown them bla bla bla bla. Why didn't this people come out before.

You are the only one making sense out most people here. And you understand God a bit like most Christians would. If God the Omniscience didn't want to show anyone nobody would know.
Now a prophet quoted what he said , some loons are saying he should have mentioned the date and the person. How many of those people read the story of Hezekiah (Isaiah 38). Very ignorant people dabbling into issues they have little or no knowledge about.
Just face your business and do good, because the evil (and the goo) that men do live after them.

MadeBoy:
I'm a guy that likes my privacy reasons of my quality time to think and pray for hours. Because I face a lot of spiritual challenges. And my midnight prayers have been helping me. Most especially when I had a nightmare or anytime I woke up.

I will seal up my windows and doors while my AC is blasting high. And even when I raise up my voice it doesn't come out.

The government just extended the lockdown which is tiring. She came to my house and doesn't want to leave. I have so many debts on my head now and my yearly house rent is expiring soon. This is the period I need to be alone in prayers. The little I have now I am using it to take care of her which I would have uses for myself to prolong the suffering during this lockdown. Branch and carbon are sending me SMS to pay my loans.

My apartment is so cussing, chilling and so comfortable more than her house by far. Maybe reason she doesn't want to go. She will be disturbing me and dragging remot control with me. When I am watching TV she will just change it to nollywood drama.

I do want her to be coming and going. Not just to come and stay like she is doing now. I'm not use to this type of life unlike some of my friends.

Outside of all this, I do not see future with her just normal control things..

I have not been able to leave the house or do other personal private stuff.

I need her to go maybe coming on some weekends or when invited.

What is your problem? After you have enjoyed her, you are suddenly tired of her. Whatever you are thinking you better get ready to marry her. No matter how comfortable your place is and no matter how much she wanted to pass the expenses of lockdown on you, she is on trial testing a married life with you. So get ready.
You are fairly insincere since you said you wan to pray. If you are not praying against her, better ask her to join you in your prayers so that things can move faster and better for you more quickly. You cannot underrate the spiritual power of woman in unity with you.

You want us to believe you are a Christian I wist not, brother.
Make your choice and practise what it be like having this one with you for life.

Hahahah....
