Billyonaire: Guy, I dont know where you live in Nigeria and the people you dine with. But where I belong, I know what is possible and that includes Olympic. Dont rub your disorganized life on our face by saying we all are disorganized. Permit me to state that it is possible to host the Olympic even better than London in this great country.

It's not just about being able to afford it. We're to disorganized and a country to organize such an event.

In addition to that, we won't gain anything from it economically, so it won't make sense. The only people that will benefit from it are the politicians and contractors.
Remember this will be Lagos states undertaking with the support of FG, how can u say we won't gain anything... The rapid infrastructural development of the state, most advanced airports rail roads... The amount of investment that would come into Lagos will be mind boggling.

I don't see why we can't do it 2028 is some time away, unless we are planning to have d same problems we have now then, bokoharam, Nepa et al. Money is not the problem, remember the Olympics is more about the city than the country, all they need is FGs endorsement. I was going through the Abuja commonwealth 2014 bid evaluation and the only problem was lack of detailing in the budget
Sports / Do You Think Lagos (eko Atlantic City) Should Bid For The 2028 Olympics ? by kael: 7:31pm On Jul 28, 2012
Wouldn't it be nice if the Olympic games could be intergrated into Eko Atlantic city, with the Olympic park being built out in the ocean, I bet that will be a first. And I know we can do it. Before south Africa comes and takes the Olympics as well as world cup.

The person dat created this post should be flogged. There is no basis of comparison between London and Beijing. I watched Beijing and I literally found it difficult to breathe. While watching London I was like "what's next" the precision perfection and execution of Beijing cannot be compared to the gimmicky disoriented messy all over the place london opening. Besides their was too much fun and happy dancing the the london opening.. Joyful dancing is usually at the closing ceremony. London ceremony was too individualistic, too many close up shots

And who is rhe fool here saying nigeria can host an olympic for where - abuja ? Or where for your village ridicoulous you think olympic is a football tournament only - ask your self where are the infrastructures , in terms of canoe sport where are the lakes abi na dose dirty lake for island dem wan use - lol I won't vote for olympic to be here oo I beg I beg I beg give it to south africa or egypt or libya
You are a shame to the nation. Why can't we host the Olympics, u say where are the infrastructure... Gues what you build them, that's why the give you over 8yrs. There's an artificial lake in Abuja that can serve for canoeing, I believe Lagos should bid and integrate the Olympics to Eko Atlantic city
Sports / Re: London Olympics 2012: Live Updates Of The Opening Ceremony by kael: 1:28am On Jul 28, 2012
London opening ceremony.... I tot I was watching a children's play, eve Nigeria could pull off something better. It completely pales in comparison to Beijing. Adin there is no basis of comparison. The dancers looked disorientated and unsynchronized.maybe Danny Boyle tot he was making a movie... Too many close up shots it was too individualistic. And too much joyful dancing and singing for opening ceremony.. It meant to be at the closing ceremony. But I give it to them for not even trying to compete with beijings £200mil budget

On the ipad, you don't need to install any app. Just recharge N1,500 and activate airtel blackberry complete plan which cost N1,400. That would be your monthly cost instead of N3,000 monthly for the tablet plan.
The ipad can't send sms so you'll have to call customer care(111) to activate the blackberry complete plan for you, or you could remove your sim card and place it in a phone to activate the plan (Send BCM to 444 to activate). To recharge your ipad, you could use me2you or the sim application function.
To access the sim application function, go to settings, cellular data, sim applications, my zain account (or my airtel account) then top up. You'll the get a screen with dialing options, only dial the recharge card pin without the *126* and the # at the end, just dial the pin only to recharge.

Kindly note that you need to setup you APN to be able to access the internet, To do this, go to settings, cellular data, APN settings
APN = internet.ng.airtel.com
username and password = internet

Note
1. This settings would work on any phone be it andriod, java, nokia, etc
2. My iPad runs iOs 5.1.1 so if your procedure is different, its probably because you're running a different iOS version but it will work anyway
3. This setting is not illegal, so its not free, you pay 1,500 monthly for it
4. To get it to work on other phones use the above stated APN for your phone, recharge the N1,500 and Send BCM to 444 to activate
5. Am not sure this can be done exactly this way with MTN, Etisalat, GLO etc, because i've never tried this on those networks!
6. If you're not using an iPad, kindly ignore the recharge process i stated above and recharge your phone normally

I'm using the iPad 3 running on 5.1. Is the plan unlimited

please how did you get it working on your iPad.

Foreign Affairs / Trayvon Martin: 17 Year Old African American Killed Because He Was Black by kael: 7:07pm On Mar 23, 2012
The slaying of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, a Florida high school student who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman, a self-appointed neighborhood watch captain, has captured national attention.
Petitions calling for justice for Martin have exploded, amid allegations of racism and calls for more scrutiny into how local police handled the investigation. George Zimmerman has yet to be charged in the case.
Below is a timeline of events:
Feb. 26: Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old Florida high school student, is found shot and killed, in Sanford, Fla., a community north of Orlando.
Several eyewitnesses report to police that they heard a scuffle, then a cry for help, and then a gunshot.
According to the Sanford police report, George Zimmerman, 28, a self-appointed neighborhood watch captain, is found armed with a handgun, standing over Martin. He has a bloody nose and a wound in the back of his head.
Martin is unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. He has no weapons on him, only a pack of Skittles and a bottle of iced tea.
Zimmerman tells police he killed Martin in self defense. Taking him at his word, police do not arrest him, nor administer a drug or alcohol test. They also did not run a background check.
March 9: Trayvon Martin’s family demands that police release the 911 tapes or make an arrest nearly one month after Martin was killed. Police declined to comment at the time, but told ABC News the tapes would be released the following week.
March 12: ABC News uncovers questionable police conduct in the investigation of the fatal shooting of Martin, including the alleged “correction” of at least one eyewitness’ account.
Sanford Police Chief Billy Lee said there is no evidence to dispute Zimmerman’s assertion that he shot Martin out of self-defense.
March 16: Police recordings made the night Zimmerman allegedly shot and killed Martin sent the boy’s mother screaming from the room and prompted his father to declare, “He killed my son,” a family representative tells ABC News.
ABC News affiliate WFTV publishes excerpts from the 911 calls.
One of several petitions for Zimmerman’s arrest has garnered more than 250,000 signatures on a change.org site, and at one point signatures were pouring in at the rate of 10,000 an hour, according to the website.
March 18: Martin’s family asks Attorney General Eric Holder and the FBI to get involved in the investigation of their son’s death.
March 19: A 16-year-old girl tells Benjamin Crump, the Martin family’s attorney, about the last moments of Martin’s life, ABC News is there exclusively. Martin was on the phone with her when George Zimmerman began following him. She recounted that she told Martin to run, then she heard some pushing, then the line went dead.
The U.S. Justice Department announces it has launched an investigation into Martin’s slaying.
ABC News also learns that Zimmerman violated major principles of the Neighborhood Watch manual, which states, “it should be emphasized to members that they do not possess police powers, and they shall not carry weapons or pursue vehicles.”
The state attorney in Seminole County, Fla., announces that a grand jury will review the evidence of the case on April 10.
March 20: Sanford police department admits to ABC News that investigators missed a possible racist remark by the shooter as he spoke to police dispatchers moments before the killing.
March 21: During a heated meeting over Trayvon Martin’s death, Sanford city commissioners conducted a vote of “no confidence” against embattled Police Chief Billy Lee. Three of five commissioners voted against the chief.
The city manager now decided whether or not to let Lee go.
Martin’s parents join hundreds of protesters in New York City for the “Million Hoodie March,” demanding justice for the slain 17-year-old.
A single online petition calling for Travyvon’s killer’s arrest has nearly 900,000 signatures and is now the fastest growing petition in internet history, according to Change.org. Tweets from celebrities, such as Justin Bieber and Spike Lee, helped fuel wide interest in the case.
The public relations person for Benjamin Crump, the attorney representing the Martin family, tells ABC News they received 418 media calls in one day.

@kael, why do u label Hon. Hembe a thief B/4 he is proven guilty? I don't want to judge for now, but its clear that the SEC DG had intents to and/or offered the committee an inducement package as evidenced in the 2 memos, which ammounts to crime. It is possible that she want to play smart by going public to discredit the committee when she discovered they were not interested in her offer.
Secondly, considering the magnitude of the allegations against the DG and the way the committee members were hard on the DG it is difficult 2 say that they were the ones who descended that low to make such cheap demands. It is not good to be tribalistic or sentimental about sensitive issues that would determine the future of this nation like this. EFCC you have a job here. Almighty God save this nation.

olajide_07:
Plz my friend she didn't not double the transactions within the capital market she is only regulating activities of parties in the market as a one time player in the market its people like you that decide to buy shares coz your broker advise you, the increase of trading transactions and the reason for the crash was because banks like intercontinental, oceanic, union bank were lending people money to buy shares which they could take possession of and secondly the so called foreign investors had to drag out their money because the banks in their country were calling for loans given to them to do invest in the capital market in Nigeria, coupled with the fact that these nigerian banks rather then lending to SME's to trade in equities and placed all kinds of tabs which did allow people to trade freely as buyers players could not sell what they had fully paid back the loans they acquired for so where does she come in " I BID THE. SPIRIT OF GLUTONY IN HER IJN" the spirit of HERMES KELLY & FRAGAMO DIE O! IJN before these women would ruin nigeria
Politics / Re: N74bn Not Enough For Amnesty Programme- Dokubo Asari by kael: 8:03pm On Mar 20, 2012
i have always been against the amnesty program, why would you be paying unproductive criminals 65000 monthly sending the to south-africa, malaysia and what have you, while actual hard working nigerians with no criminal record wallow in poverty, the amnesty program is becoming a burden on our economy how can militants "criminals" be getting more money than the entire nigerian health system it is beyond reasoning, and he has the audacity to come out and ask for more. i don't understand why the ordinary farmer, fisherman etc struggle to send their children to school while government throws money to irresponsible youth.

i wish they hadn't accepted the amnesty program because from some sources i understand yar'adua had already mobilized a full scale military assault with the help of the isreali army which had delivered Drones (UAVs) to the nigerian army.

Politics / Re: See Transcorp Hilton Food Invoice For Ms. Arunmah Oteh by kael: 5:06pm On Mar 20, 2012
See what were complaining about, we want to eat this women's head off because she hosted international investors with 85K, when the reps get 45mill as official salary and still want more, please remove the plank in your eye before trying to remove the spec in anthers eye. she has doubled the stock exchange since she came in. i wish nigerians would open their eyes and see that these reps only do what will favor them.
as far as am concerned THE ENEMY OF MY ENEMY IS MY FRIEND.
